While Morrowind was good Oblivion was average at best (albeit very pretty average), on the other hand Firaxis has been very consistently good with some of the best games of all time under their belt (Alpha Centauri for example). |

Found all too many holes in it; but the presence of Sean Bean still made it a highly enjoyable gaming experience. Bethesda for me. |

Paperboy Posts: 13 Joined: 28 Mar 2008 | I went for Bethesda, my favourite game developer ever since I even read about Morrowind. I loved Pirates of the Caribbean (sp?)and Oblivion too. The best part of the TES games are that they don't just simply show you the credits and end after that. You can continue playing after that, and the TES Construction set allows you to virtually fix anything you do not see fit in your opinion. I agree with Reload92 about Bioware, since Mass Effect seems to be giving it tons of votes, however if Bethesda faces off with Bioware, its Morrowind that would give them a chance of winning, even if facing off against games like NWN (which was the only thing that made me play something else than Morrowind) and Mass Effect. |

Civ isn't an RTS... and Firaxis has so much more going for it than just Civ, what does Bethesda have other than Elder Scrolls? Vox |

Because no amount of Roleplaying-swordwanking-spellsinging-i-dont-care-about-you-people-so-why-do-i-have-to-save-ya?! can replace the warm, cozy felling of blowing half of alpha centauri into nice blue waterish oblivion with planet killer bombs, which i usualy build for the singular reason blow the crap out of my co-humans. Burn Planet! BURN! |

Paperboy Posts: 13 Joined: 28 Mar 2008 | Why do some people vote based on the latest game released by that dev, and not how magnificent the past games have been? Like for Bioware vs Ubisoft, Bioware got alot of votes because of Mass Effect, and Ubisoft lesser because Assassin's Creed wasn't that good. Now Oblivion is doing the same to Bethesda...yeah i agree about consistency but IMO Oblivion isn't that bad and Morrowind was heavenly, a dream come true for me, it was. |

Not really, when i voted Bethesda was leading by quite a few votes. Now it seems Bethesda has won. Sure, they may not be massively famous all over the world and getting tons of fanboys like Blizzard, but they are great developers and I'm hoping they'll pull off an upset. |

Ah another kindred spirit, i used to set up airports surrounding my enemies territories so i could remove all evidence of them off the map in one glorious quantum planet killer flash. Please vote for Firaxis people. |

(3) Bethesda vs. (5) Firaxis:
Bethesda: Bethesda comes out of The 16 strong, moving Crytek gently over to the side of the brackets where they can watch the game with 56 other developers.
Firaxis: Another No. 1 bites the dust, and Firaxis moves into the realm of the Great 8, Sid leading the charge. Will they conquer the Bethesda civilization as well?
