"A night off sounds great" Vinny said to Wright, she stood up.

"Hope you all get better soon" She smiled as she walked away. Outside, she got on her motorbike and drove off.

"You boys look like you had some fun out here," Sergeant Vance muttered to the two outside the Starbucks, lighting a cigar. "Good job on not hitting any civilians, though. If they don't mind us staying around, it gets a lot easier to do that. We've got a safehouse three blocks down, basement of Lucky's Pawn Shop, if you wanna restock your ammo, grab some gear, whatever." He set a key on the table. "Should still be open, that's for the basement door. We sent a nice little message to the Russians, so take the night off. Tomorrow should be pretty fun."

The Steve shrugged. "I'll drop by and check it out. Where and when do we report for tomorrow's orders?"

"We'll call you guys up. Right now, a meeting place isn't too high on our to-do list, ya know?"

Outside your apartment complex, or wherever you live, you see the hobo who lives outside, panhandling as usual. No one appears to be following you.

On the way to drop Viktor off, the two of you notice a black Suburban that seems to have been following you for a while, but you can't be sure. The occupants look normal and seem to be either arguing or joking around inside.

Looking around from your chair, Keller looks at you and nods to your left, where you see two men who seem armed, and both are clearly Russians.

Ending the call with Vance, a black Suburban parks by the street in front of you. One man, a Russian, gets out from the back, poorly concealing his weapons.

"Gentlemen, get in car," he mutters, nodding at the Suburban. "Company doesn't like innocents getting hurt, so I will shoot people around us if you don't."

The Steve froze, then grinned.

"Yah got me fair and square" he said, putting on a coarse, uneducated voice, "Might as well go with you, eh?"

He moved up to the man, as if to shake him by the hand, but as his hand came up, it was holding a pistol

Before the Russian's face had even moved, The Steve shot him in the guts, pivoted, and fired at the men in the car. With nowhere to dodge to, and no cover, the bullets coming through the window tore into flesh and bone.

Vinny parked her motorcycle in a nearby garage, and walked back to her apartment building. When she arrived she saw the same old hobo panhandling.
"Here you go honey." She said to him, giving him a few dollars before walking up the steps to her building.

The Steve

Some of the nearby cops rush over, weapons drawn, and the crowd disperses. When the two cops get to you, they nod and begin pulling the bodies out of the Suburban.

"Wait!" he says, grabbing your sleeve. "Some guys with guns went in earlier. I don't know who they're after, but kindness for kindness, you know?"

"Thanks Hun." She smiled at the guy, and walked back around the corner out of sight. She pulled out her mobile and called Sargent Vance.

"Vinny? Just about to grab dinner, what's up?" Vance asked.

"Not sure myself, although a friend of mine told me he saw a group of men with guns going into my apartment not too long ago, think it's trouble?" She asked him.

Viktor looked in the Rearview mirror and noticed the car. He looked over at Dino who seemed to notice this as well.

"Drive around the block a couple of times." Said Viktor, taking out his cellphone.

Dino nodded his head and took the next right while Viktor dialed on the phone.

"Might be," Vance replied. "I'll head up to the station, something doesn't seem right. I'll send a couple of guys over for now, and let me know if you find out anything else, or if you're going somewhere and still think you're being followed."

The car doesn't follow, but it heads in the direction of Dino's house. Given that the city is huge, you can't be sure of its destination.

"Got it, I'm gonna head to an all night cafe a few streets away, I'll text back if I think I was followed."
She hung up the phone and started walking towards the all night cafe.

The Steve bent down, and went through the Russians pockets, pocketing his gun and some money, then got into the car and examined what was inside

Raoul was surprised by the speed and accuracy of The Steve.

"Wow. You're a good shot."

But then the police started running towards them.

"Uh. Now might not be a good time to be rumaging through the car. The police look like they want to have a word about that little display of gunsmanship there."

Vinny ordered a cup of coffee from the all night cafe, and sat in a corner booth, making sure she had a view of the street corner.
She leaned back with one arm draped over her seat, sipping from her plastic cup, and keeping an eye on her phone.

"I wouldn't be too sure" said the Steve, with a smile, "That the moment, they don't know what to think. A guilty man runs, and that we stay shows we don't fear the law. fear suggests danger, so a lack of fear suggests immunity. They don't know why we're immune, so they are wary, and don't ask to many questions."

He paused, then shook his head, "Maybe they just know we're the mob"

Upon noticing the two Russians walking through the door, Caesar ran into Fisher's room. "Sergeant Wright." he whispered. "Russians." After saying that he quickly closed the door and drew his machete.

Two men, clearly drunk, start stumbling over each other across the way, headed into your apartment building. A police officer stops them, and they talk to him, pointing at the building. Shrugging, he motions for them to go ahead and walks off. Before entering, they stop to talk to the homeless man outside.

One of the officers talks on his radio, describing the two of you. You can then hear his order to leave you two alone, so he and the other drag the two dead Russians onto the sidewalk and nod towards the Suburban while looking at you. Inside, you find three AKS-74U's with four magazines each, as well as a manilla envelope that had been torn open. Should you choose to read it, it details directions to a nearby Russian safehouse, as well as instructions to take out the Company safehouse at Lucky's.

Keller nods at you, then whispers something to his partner, and neither go for their weapons. The Russians begin walking down the hallway towards you, but they didn't notice you draw your machete. Neither has their weapon out yet.

Vinny watched the 2 drunken men over the top of her plastic cup, nonchalantly taking a photo of them with her phone. She tied her hair and waited for the men to move.

The Steve read the contents of the envelope, and smiled. Taking his phone out of his pocket, he dialled a number.

"Sergeant Vance? The Steve here. Raoul and I just came up against a rather useless set of Russians, and in their car I found details of a safehouse near the Silver Wolf. Not only that, it seems they're planning an assault on Lucky's. Should we move to back up Lucky's, or strike their safehouse? I have a feeling an unexpected attack now would disrupt their organisation, and really screw up their planned attack."

The two men stumble into the complex, and a few minutes go by. Suddenly, five gunshots ring out in quick succession, but not quick enough to be from an automatic weapon. The two men run back outside, stumbling over each other as a crowd gathers. A passing patrol car stops, and the officer runs out to the two men, who talk to him for a bit and run off as the cop talks on his radio and keeps people away. Your phone then receives a text that says:

"You said the details were in the car?" Vance asked. "Shit, that means either those guys were supposed to attack, or already have. Go get some payback, I'll get Fisher to move some cops to Lucky's and check it out."

"We need to switch cars." Said Viktor closing his cell.

"No problem. So where is your cab." Said Dino. stoping at the light.

"It's in the lockup about 3 blocks from here."

With that,Dino waited for the Green before proceding to the lockup.

As Caesar saw the doorknob begin to fiddle, he quickly shoved his machete through the wood, causing the first Russian to fall to the floor, bleeding profusely. The other Russian, seeing this, quickly burst open the door and began firing his pistol randomly. Unfazed by this basic scare tactic, Caesar knocked the man down and grabbed his gun from him.

"Now... Who are you working for?"

Raoul grabbed one of the AK-47Us and cocked it.

"This should do. So, are we gonna go or what?"

Out of nowhere, a black Suburban rams the back of the car, sending it off into traffic. Four Russians quickly scramble out and pull the two of you out. Binding your hands with zipties and removing your weapons, they throw you in the back and drive off with you. The whole ride, a Russian has a gun aimed at each of you.

"Kill me if you want, but if you not know who I work for, you pretty stupid," he replies, then muttering something in Russian. Wright walks over and looks the man over.

"He's a peon from the Russian mob, no one special," Wright explains, pulling out his pistol. "A fucking peon who almost hit me, I might add."

Vinny looked at her phone and smiled, she closed the text and saw the time.

'Hmm.. It's pretty late now.

The waitress walked up to her, asking if she wanted a refill.

"Sure, that'd be great." She said, letting the waitress fill up her plastic cup again.

When the waitress had walked away, she grabbed her small flask she hid in her coat, and poured some brandy into the cup.

"Might as well have a nightcap." She mumbled to herself, getting comfy in the booth.

"Ready when you are," said the Steve, gathering the other rifles, and putting them into the car.

"Normally I'd travel on foot, but I reckon that speed is of the essence.

They got, in, and set off, driving fast, but legally.

"So what's the plan when we get there?," he asked Raoul, "I'm thinking something along the lines of splitting up, sneaking in as far as possible, then bursting out and opening fire. If we take to rifles each, we'll have both the element of surprise, and we'll be able to hold against pretty heavy opposition, and being separate will create even more confusion."

"Yeah, I agree. We'll go round the sides. Do you have a walkie talkie or something that we could use as communication? Maybe a headset? It would be useful if we knew what each other's situation was inside their hidey-hole."

Three Suburbans pull up outside the cafe, and several men armed with AK-47's getting out and aiming at you. Two tactically move inside, one constantly aiming at you and the other watching his back.

The Steve shook his head. "I've got my phone," he said, doubtfully, "But I don't know how much goo that will be. We'd be able to communicate, but not all the time, and probably with a delay..."

Vinny smiled at the man pointing the gun at her, and shot him from under the table.
Ducking to avoid shots from the other man, she went under the booth, and waited for his clip to run out, before diving behind the service counter.
The first man she had shot started releasing his clip into the counter. Vinny dragged the waitress down and said "Is there a back door in the kitchen?"
The waitress nodded, and they both drawled through the open door and ran through the kitchen.

The men had caught on however, and began chasing them through the kitchen aswell, knocking people out of the way to try and get a clear shot.
Vinny grabbed a saucepan, and used it to aim without looking behind her, she shot the second man in the shoulder.
Vinny burst out of the back door, and threw the waitress in a nearby dumpster to hide her. She then ran down the street without looking back and got straight back on her motorbike outside the garages.

Caesar looked from the Russian to Wright and back again, before grabbing his machete and bringing it high in the air. Without another word, he chopped the Russians arm off. Blood began to spray as the Russian screamed and begged for mercy. Caesar put his hand over the man's mouth.

"Oh don't worry," Caesar said. "We're in a hospital. We can get you a nurse, that is, if you tell us who you work for. Now I'm going to take my hand off your mouth. If you scream, you lose another arm."
