Romeo immediatly bashed the alien again with the end of his rifle, knocking it over. Then smashed it in the head, again. Suddenly the creature let out a cry, and the runes pulsated. Romeo was flung into the wall by and unseen force, then fell to the ground. and lay there, a terrible pain moving through his body.

Jon's claws sunk into the hand of the attacking creature, the weapon fell back into dust as the hand was crippled. The creature spasmed wildly inside its armored suit, basing its face against the dome of the helmet repeatedly before the visor broke exposing the reptilian face. The monster in a final, desperate attempt to attack lunged its head forward attempting to bite Jon.

"Guys are you still alive down there?" Lukan asked, "If that thing has any gear which is salvageable then please get it for me!"
He moved with james following him through the building.

Scarecrow ran to join James when he bolted out the door. Not able to keep up with his feline agility, he fell behind rather quickly. Finally catching up to him, he found him, along with Lu. It seemed that they had just killed an armored ghoul, and were now looking for something. Scarecrow didn't know what, but, knowing this planet, it was most likely nothing good.

Hoax heard static over his radio as he waited for responces from the Alpha survivors and the India Survivor

"I say again, can Alpha and India link up?" he radioed once more

Romeo looked up to see that the creature had broken it's visor. Romeo raised his Xum 4 and fired a burst directly into it's face. It's face was shredded and blue blood splattered all over Jon. The thing stop moving and when limp, and then fell over. There it lied, blood pooling around the corpse. Romeo walked up to Jon. "Uh, you got a little somthin somthin...Right there man" he said, pointing at the large amount of blood splattered on Jon's face.

So... bullets DO work on those things... And here I was thinking that they couldn't be killed. She grinned a bit to herself, letting out a small sigh of relief. It was justifiable as to why she thought they couldn't be killed though... I mean, they WERE the walking dead, after all.

She almost stepped out of the small apartment before she stopped herself, her breath catching in her throat. The ghouls may no longer be too much of a problem... but the men might. Sure, she mused, she might just be being paranoid- but men often seemed to like to take advantage of certain things during total anarchy: like women, money and stores with merchandise behind glass windows. It was Sabriel's belief that some semblance of order needed to be kept at all times, even during anarchy like right now. And the more she looked at the men, the more she thought that they would be just as dangerous as the ghouls.

Instead of going to help the men, she returned to the room and buried herself under a few boxes, but left a good portion of herself in plain view. She did, however, bury the hand holding the Xum 3 so it could not be seen. To the average onlooker, it looked as if she slipped and hit her head on something and then landed (surprisingly) in a wad of semi-comfortable boxes and such. She was still, however, very much aware of her surroundings and ready to jump at a moments notice should things go wrong. Then she waited.

Not laughing at his little joke, Romeo was slightly disappointed. "Eh, he's a robot, not part of his programing" He thought to himself. Then he turned on his radio "Squad this is Romeo. I'm still down here with Jon, and we just killed that...thing in the glowing power armor. What is the situation up top? And what happenned to Ghost, over."

One final bullet shot out from Ghost's rifle, the last ghoul hit the ground missing a portion of its skull. A pool of the combined blood of each dead ghoul formed at the floor as the two soldiers walked into the room.

"And what happened to Ghost, over."

"I'm still alive dipshit, just out of ammo. Over." He said into the radio as he entered the room, looked like someone had been inside recently. Neither Cyprus or Rios had noticed Sabrial hiding behind the boxes.

"How are guys holding up, any word on Alpha yet?" He said pacing around the room, in his mind mapping out a possible escape route if things got a little too hectic.

Looking around, Scarecrow saw major amounts of gun flash inside one of the apartment complexes. Figuring that it was either surviving humans, Ghost and Rios, or these things learned how to use guns (which he did NOT want to think about), he gestured the other two over toward the complex. Entering the building, they found that whatever made the shots had left a trail of destruction. Following it to the third floor, they saw Ghost and Rios entering a room. Breathing a sigh of relief, Scarecrow walked toward the room, entering it swiftly, noticing a woman buried partially by boxes. He tapped Ghost on the shoulder, trying to get his attention.

When the men entered the room, Sabriel thought of something that might mean her death should her assumptions be correct. If the men saw her laying under a bunch of boxes, they might simply shoot her, assuming she was one of the ghouls or something. In order to avoid this unfortunate end, Sabriel was called out to the men who had entered the room.

"Hello...?" She whispered, just loud enough for the men to make out what she had said.

"No need to be an asshole ghost. And no I have no idea what happenned to Alpha. What are your orders? Regroup or continue to target, over."

Ghost felt the sudden tap on his shoulder, he turned his head to see Scarecrow standing behind him. Before he opened his mouth to speak he heard a noise coming from the boxes.

"Hello...?" A woman's voice whispered from under the boxes.

Rios raised his gun quickly and took aim as Ghost slowly approached with his katana unsheathed. He quickly swung at the top box with the blade knocking out of the way to see a young soldier underneath the box.

"What the fuck are you doing?" Ghost said staring down at the woman, she looked rather pitful hiding down there.

Scarecrow shook his head at the others reaction to finding the woman. He reached out his hand to her, offering to help her up.

Sabriel flinched as the blade sliced away the top box away from her, immediately thinking that her previous assumption about the men being as bad as the ghouls to be correct. When the quiet member of the trio reached out to help her she tentatively took his hand, slightly fearful of him despite his politeness.

Once on her feet, she turned and saluted to the group, "I eh... I fell, sir, when I went to try and help you dispatch those... things. You probably didn't hear it because you were firing your gun..." She frowned slightly and blushed (on purpose) to show she was "embarassed" at her "mistake" before continuing.

"Private Sabriel Bashkir reporting for duty and requesting for immediate withdrawal from this hellhole, sir."

Hoax had been looking over his map, from the looks of it, his squad had not gone too far ahead of him and were only five blocks down in the apartment complex. However, based on the Alpha squad radio position they provided, they were a good twenty block into the city. Hoax scanned the map along with the marked position into his suit's computer

"Ghost this is Hoax, I think I've found Alpha squad's position, but it's deep in the city, I'm uploading a map to the rest of the squad. I'm gonna try to regroup with you guys. I'm travling with a civilian, that little girl we found. Ghost, I take it from your video feed, you located the India company survivor?""

"Request denied, we are to stay here until the mission is completed. Until then you're with us." Cyprus responded as he tucked his sword into the sheath, the weapon made a slicing noise as it went back into its holder.

"Ghost this is Hoax, I think I've found Alpha squad's position."

"Excellent work Hoax, good to know that one person is capable of following orders in this unit." He said into the radio, his hands then went over the switch to put the whole unit online. "Listen up ladies, we're going to regroup at Alpha's location, Hoax is sending in the coordinates."

He removed his helmet and stared into the woman's eyes angrily. "Looks like you'll be helping us in a rescue mission, any questoins?"

Sabriel rolled her eyes at the man, obviously annoyed that he hadn't understood her. "Sir, I meant get the hell out of this apartment building. I know why I'm here, don't question that." Despite her words, her face still paled once she heard about Alpha company. If it were up to her, she'd form a defensive perimeter some ways back from the city and wait for the ghouls to come to them, not the other way around.

She sighed and ran a hand through her tangled black hair. "I have no objections, other than we should probably restock on ammo or something before doing so." She pulled her remaining two magazines out of a belt pouch and ejected the one from her gun, counting the bullets. She had exactly 39 shots left and didn't feel entirely safe entering a city infested with zombies with such a measly supply of ammunition. "If anyone has ammo compatible with the Xum 3, I wouldn't mind taking a few clips- if you can spare 'em."

"Also, how do we deal with that?" Sabriel muttered as she pointed out the window at the gigantic flying monster.

"Just shoot them, you can take them out of the air with one bullet." Cyprus said glancing at the bird as it repeatedly smashed against the glass, making little progress in its goal to get to them. Actually it was pretty funny, enough to bring a small smile to his lips. "You're lucky that you have any bullets left, I just ran dry."

Ghost turned his head and proceed out of the room, followed by Rios who slinged his rifle over his back. "Lets go, we don't want to keep Alpha waiting."

James pulled a couple extra clips from his pack and tossed them towards Sabriel, he seemed to notice the woman's nervousness "I say ve get big red up here vith some C4 and give zose birds a little snack."

Great... I got stuck with the crazies. Sabriel muttered something under her breath about how they were all going to die with that mentality and almost spoke up about how she wasn't as proficient in using her knife as she should be, but decided against it. If he was this bitchy about a few bullets, he'd flip his shit if he knew she had been skipping out on daily practice routines so she would have more time in the firing range. She might be a crack shot, but 39 bullets only did so much against a horde of starving ghouls.

She was then handed a few clips of ammo from a man she didn't see come in. She nodded a thanks to him and pocketed the magazines, now having more than enough to hold her own should it come down to it.

"I'll take point then, unless someone else wants to. I may not look it, but I made Scout for a reason." She activated her Hydra armor and half-disappeared from view. "I'll keep in touch via the radio-" she said as she plugged a headset into her ear and turned the volume on her radio down. "If that's not a problem, sir?"

"Thank you sir" Hoax replied over the radio. He checked his weapons and ammo. His gun ahd about four spare clips left and while that was still most of his load out, he still didn't feel comfotable with this supply of bullets for his rifle

"Still got the shotgun" He though, he had about another two reloads for the shotgun attachment under his gun.

"Ghost, this is Hoax, the download should be complete and Alpha's location should be appering on the map I've provided, see you there."

Hoax went over to the little girl, he had given her another ration bar, but she ate it as quickly as the first one.

"Okay, we have to leave this place." He said as he picked her up with his mechanical arm. She was very light and the arm had little difficulty lifting her. He kept her in his mechanical arms, partially cradling her like on would do with a football. His picked up his rifle with his free hand and thought "Gonna be a bitch to reload with one hand"

With that last grumpy thought, Hoax sped out of the door and began to make his way to Alpha's location
