The longest poem.

Hiya escapists.
Inspired by Pinkammena's thread

Let's try this out:
The first poster writes a line.
The next poster then writes a line that rhymes with the previous, and preferrably one that more or less fits in rythm.
You may change the rythm and rhyme when it feels appropriate.
Don't feel too bound by the rules though.

I'll start us off.

Metal sliding over ice

Metal sliding over ice
Petal falling looks nice

So, go the next bit.

Metal sliding over ice
Petal falling looks nice
Accompanied by many mice

Metal sliding over ice
Petal falling looks nice
Accompanied by many mice
Who have eaten all the rice.

Metal sliding over ice
Petal falling looks nice
Accompanied by many mice
Who have eaten all the rice.
Oh, what a vice!

Metal sliding over ice
Petal falling looks nice
Accompanied by many mice
Who have eaten all the rice.
Oh, what a vice!

Though in spite of such a tragedy

Metal sliding over ice
Petal falling looks nice
Accompanied by many mice
Who have eaten all the rice.
Oh, what a vice!

Though in spite of such a tragedy
At least we still have the menagerie

Metal sliding over ice
Petal falling looks nice
Accompanied by many mice
Who have eaten all the rice.
Oh, what a vice!

Though in spite of such a tragedy
At least we still have the menagerie
Of which I'd make a parody

Accompanied by many mice
Who have eaten all the rice.
Oh, what a vice!

Though in spite of such a tragedy
At least we still have the menagerie
Of which I'd make a parody
Starring the great Jack Dee.

Tee hee!

My poetic lines are staying clean.

Because, I'm winning like Charlie Sheen

And in many ways am just as lean

On a barstool, constantly hitting

All of the high notes, so ear-splittting

His head on a wall so very fitting.

But even so, the day goes on

But even so, the day goes on
I wish these kids would get off my lawn

But even so, the day goes on
I wish these kids would get off my lawn
At them now I shall throw corn

But even so, the day goes on
I wish these kids would get off my lawn
At them now I shall throw corn
As a new rhyme-scheme is born

But even so, the day goes on
I wish these kids would get off my lawn
At them now I shall throw corn
As a new rhyme-scheme is born
I fail the topic, my heart is torn

But even so, the day goes on
I wish these kids would get off my lawn
At them now I shall throw corn
As a new rhyme-scheme is born
I fail the topic, my heart is torn
Dwell not on that, you may later mourn

But even so, the day goes on
I wish these kids would get off my lawn
At them now I shall throw corn
As a new rhyme-scheme is born
I fail the topic, my heart is torn
Dwell not on that, you may later mourn

But I tire of this fire.

As a new rhyme-scheme is born
I fail the topic, my heart is torn
Dwell not on that, you may later mourn

But I tire of this fire.
as the situation becomes dire

But I tire of this fire.
as the situation becomes dire
The next line of this is a liar

But I tire of this fire.
as the situation becomes dire
The next line of this is a liar
I'm not wearing ladies attire
