"Well, Orin? You in or out?"

Orin looks up at Mel. "Hm? Oh of course I'm in. You don't need a moral compass to tell left from right." He knocks back the last of his drink and stands up. "Do we have a plan this time?"

"Surprisingly, yes. There is an unguarded path behind the base. After we sneak in, we have to make our way to the center. Hailey will be waiting for us with a vial. We will copy it, then get it to vampires everywhere."

Mel stands. "Well, we better get going. Time's wasting."

"Aye lets go."

Alex finishes the rest of his his drink and stands.
"Yes, lets"

Mel walks out the door, then heads north.

Alucard follows closely behind her.

Alex follows them, keeping a few paces behind, lost in thought.

Jenna looks around the group... she feels out of place in this group of close friends, she sighs and continues to walk

Following closely behind the others Tsurugi puts back up his hood to cover his face. He keeps his hand on the hilt of one of the short swords by his side. "Where exactly are we going?"

"A government base. It's top-secret."

"Sounds like it's gonna be fun."

"Hopefully not too much...'fun'."

"You know what I mean."

"I hope we don't have to kill any innocents."

After a couple day's walk, they come to a concealed path, leading up to a building.

Jenna looks up the path

"for a top secret base... it was really easy to find a way in, are you sure that we should'nt expect traps?"

"Of course there's traps. Would be boring if there weren't. I just said there was no security."

Alex sighs.
"Would be a shame to lose anybody before it begins. We had best tread carefully."

Mel nods, then walks down the path carefully. After a few feet, she stops, tilting her head.

Jenna looks around

"What is it? is something wrong?"

"There are wolves just outside your earshot. Several of them, all hungry." No sooner than her sentence ends, a faint growling can be heard on both sides of the path.

Jenna's hand falls onto the handle of her blade

"This is'nt good."

Alex looks at her confused but, decides it best not to talk for now, he instead crouched and places his hand on the hilt of his sword.

After a lengthy pause, three wolves lunge out, one attacking Alex, another one Mel, and the third Jenna. The wolf attacking Alex snaps at his leg, while the one attacking Jenna concentrates on her arm.

Jenna Pulls out her blade, she holds out the sharp end, attempting to have the wolf lunge into it

The wolf twists to the side, getting nicked by the blade as its full body hits against Jenna's legs.

Alex falls back as he sees the wolf attack, drawing his blade as he falls, as the wolf bites into his leg Alex sits up and stabs at its face.

The wolf shudders, biting down harder briefly before relaxing and going limp.

Jenna falls onto her back, she quickly sends the tip of the blade up towards The wolf's throat

The blade slides in, rupturing the wolf's windpipe. As it wheezes, bleeding severely, it tries weakly for one last lunge at her throat.

Jenna kicks the wolf's leg and rolls out of the way, but the wolf maniges nick her arm, leaving a decent sized cut
