I'm gonna go ahead and call time control. Limited obviously. Perhaps only the ability to slow time down in order to gain an advantage over enemies, but not pause it completely, and this effect would only be temporary.

If that's too powerful/godmodd-ish(?), then perhaps telekinesis.

EDIT: As I'm not an avid role player, would someone care to explain to me what trench coating and mary-suing are? I know what godmodding is and I want to make sure I don't do whatever those other two are.

Took me a little longer than planned, but here's my sheet.

Definitely an improvement on Deus...a big improvement...

Jobz; The last RP was not at all 100% serious - I myself have made a character half cliche, half mutant, and have not taken myself far too seriously in the process. You aren't required to outfit yourself in tight spandex, but you don't need to be a tortured, dark avenger either...

Yeah, I look back on Deus, and try to refrain from hitting myself.

A large improvement on my character in the first, I'd say, and whilst I failed to take myself too seriously, I hope I don't come off as entirely stupid - if it is silly in places, it is intended to be quirky, or entertaining.

At least, I hope so.

Rex - I'll be PMing you with what I'd like for the 'random' aspect, hope everything above is acceptable.

Nope - others have already signed up that were not in the first.

In fact, I think only The Logician and I are have returned from the last one.

Don't take my word as law - I'm usually on at very different times to Rex, so I made a habit of bitching for him, and on occassions even being helpful during the GMT daylight hours. What I mean to say is - right now I'm correct...I think...but I'm not always...

The first was very fun, and whilst it did not last long it certainly had potential. Hence why I've been poking Rex in an attempt to get this going again.

That's right at the limit of what I want in this RP so I think I'm going to go ahead and close recruitment. Unless someone drops or other extenuating circumstances come into play this will probably be our cast list.

When I get all the character sheets I'll post the more detailed character list so you all know who everyone is. I may also do some miscellaneous tweaking so all characters are relatively equal in power.

I'll tell you straight up, I'm really tired right now. So, I've read the character sheets I've recieved but I haven't really assimilated them. I'm assuming right now that no one has made a trenchcoat or Mary-sue but I'll give it a more scrutinizing review later and be able to offer actual commentary. If anyone has I'll just ask you to fix it, it's not a killing offense at this stage.

So far though everything looks good.

To answer a few questions

Depends how big the "army" is. I look at having animal minions as a legitimate superpower and thus have nothing against you controling some crabs. If it gets to the point where your main attack is burying the city in a living typhoon of snapping gesticulating red doom though, I'll probably draw the line.

You may wish to think of a more effective way of summoning them though. The sea isn't always nearby and as far as I know crabs move somewhat slowly.

Alas, Overlord Steve is correct however. So, I will assume that your cooking skills are merely at the limits of human ability. Your omelets will still put 90% of the populace to shame but they will not count as a "Superpower".

Perfectly okay. I liked Jazz in the old one, lots of interesting uses for his power.

Humor is always appreciated. Plus we have Iron Ninja in this one so the chances of it being completely serious are pretty slim. Feel free to make your character as silly as you like so long as it can still function. I'll be vetting the character sheets after I recieve all of them anyway so, if it gets too ludacris, it can always be reigned in slightly.

If you want a screw-up, my advice is to make a screw-up.

And am I allowed to make a new character? Because, while I liked him as a character, I had trouble getting around the constraints of his power last time, so can we say he's dead, or what?

@ Rex: I noticed the sheet says Time Control beside my name, my power has been changed to Telekinesis.

As for time zone, whatever time zone the east coast of the US is in. I believe it's GMT-5 but I could be wrong.

Technically I'm GMT. However my sleeping pattern is somewhat...skewed at this point (going to bed at 5PM, waking up and getting out of bed at 11PM) and as such my timezone is pretty flexible. I blame the Escapist for screwing with my biological clock.

Sorry for bailing out last time. I learned that my internet was going to go out for 3 weeks(which was actually a month.) and i had to exit out. I don't know if i'll join this again but i probably will. I just need to think up a new character and then i'll join.(For those who don't know, my last character had pyrokenisis and since that was taken i need a new power and character.) If i can't think of one i'll PM you, okay Rex?
