Aileen looks at Seth. "Just to let you know, you probably won't be going back to your homeworld anytime soon. Not that I know where it is, but if you were brought here, it was for a reason, and they are not going to let you go until they are ready to."

"Um..." Mika said. She wasn't good at talking to a large group of people. If she was in a battle or if she was utterly confused, then she would talk easily, since what she wanted to say or ask might help her survive or help her learn something inmportant for later. In regular conditions though...

John pulled his tie again. No matter how often he pulled it down, it always found its way back up to his neck. After halting this momentary migration, he looked up and refilled his glass of scotch again. Of course, he could stop drinking any time he wanted. It was just that the Scotch was too bloody good to waste.

"My name is John; now you see me..." he suddenly phased out of view. "And now you don't. I can make myself invisible." He reappeared on the other side of the office. "And to let you know now, I'm going to be aiming for the knees from now on, so don't expect me to do anything overly... fatal." As he remembered seeing the grunt soldier he had shot in the shoulder lying dead on the ground having bled to death upon his exit from Ridley, John downed his Scotch and refilled the glass.

"Then I suppose, for the time being, it is in my best interests to follow you. My memory manipulation powers could be of great benefit to you."

Seth glances around the room. "Is there a library nearby, or a computer?"

Anessa's sapphire blue eyes slowly looked around the room at the assembled party. This first man that spoke, the one that referred to himself as "Jazz", seemed to be on a bit of a power trip. He probably meant well, but Anessa's first impression of him wasn't really a good one. She also recognized the platinum blond with the odd-colored eyes that she had seen before. The one person she could emphasize with in the room was that green-haired girl, Mika she said her name was. She seemed shy and kinda wary of other people, something she could understand and relate to.

With her arms crossed Anessa looked at the one named Jazz. "My name is Anessa Rhae. I can control the speed of things." She looked back down at the floor before speaking again. "Before you even ask, the answer is 'all kinds of things'."

Jennifer claps her hands to get the rooms attention.

"Alright that's quite enough talking. If you don't know each other by now you never will. Rose will you escort them to their mission site?"

"Sure." Rose purs, seated against a wall in the corner. "How is Daniel doing though?"

"Well enough. He over used his powers last mission and will not be accompanying you. He needs a little while to recover."

"Okay." Rose says. "We'll just have to keep on keeping on."

POP!

A salty wind ruffles your hair and you find yourself balanced precariously on the edge of an oil platform looking out at New York City from the sea.

"This is a pretty important Black Hand outpost." Rose says letting her eye run over the harbor. "They drill for something here. We're supposed to find out what it is, take some and stop their operation."

Two boats rush from underneath you. A speedboat. And men with guns inside the speedboat.

"That's probably the enemy." Rose said very calmly. "You might not want to let them get away."

Another four boats go careening by, armed by similarly clad men. An alarm on the oil rig begins to blare. You hear the sounds of gunfire eminating from one of the boats.

Rose announces blankly "Let the games begin."

Aileen quickly focuses, trying to use her wind powers to cause enough water to splash into the boats to cause at least one of them to sink.

Gerald was almost vomiting from excitement, he pinched The Iron Ninja once again to get his attention, looked up and swore like a little red sailor "What!? How the hell can you be asleep again? Did you suddenly become narcoleptic?" As his words were met with little more than curious glances from the others standing beside him, Gerald scuttled, with a bit of effort, up to Iron Ninja's ear, then shouted.

The Iron Ninja instinctively leapt, he was off the platform and heading towards the ocean below before his eyes were even open. There was a few seconds of silent falling before he turned to Gerald "What are we doing here?" Gerald pointed "Boats, bad guys, kill them." The Iron Ninja laughed heartily and brought out his Spatula. Gerald preformed an expression that can only be described as face-claw.' The water met their falling bodies, for a brief moment all Gerald could see was a flurry of bubbles flying past him as he sank downwards. A familiar hand grabbed hold of him and brought him back to the surface. Gerald hopped along his arm and sat back in his designated seat on the shoulder. Iron Ninja was muttering something, Gerald had too much water clogging his ears to be able to hear properly, but he felt an indescribable force pulling at his feet, keeping him attached to the Iron Ninja, as if he had a gravitational pull.

Mere seconds had passed before the first of them began to rise from the surface. Their carapace was a deep brown, mottled with lighter spots and lined with pinkish white scars. These crabs were much, much bigger Gerald, he felt glad to be safe, up high on the Ninja's shoulders. As the deep sea warriors gathered around, The Iron Ninja began to rise out of the water, supported by a living pontoon. He turned his gaze to a nearby boat, the gunmen seemed too shocked or perhaps bemused to fire, but the driver was less phased, the boat was making straight for him, picking up more and more speed as it went.

The warrior crabs all turned to face the boat, shouted "Have at you!" and on the Iron Ninja's bidding, dove down out of sight, leaving a lone Crab behind to support him out of the water. The boat was very close now, it was only a matter of seconds before it would hit. The gunmen on the craft, the shock now apparently having worn off, readied their rifles and prepared to fire. And that was when the dark column of crabs launched up from below, hitting with such force that the boat turned over, disintegrating under the blow of the sudden plunge into water at such a high speed.

The Iron Ninja and Gerald watched, smug grins stretched across their faces, as the boat sank down into the deep. The gunmen, or at least those that remained, floundered about in the waves, then they too were pulled down, out of sight, never to return.
There was a moments silence before the Iron Ninja spoke again "Where are the others?" Gerald pointed "Up there, probably wondering what the hell you think you're doing. Should we go back up" Iron Ninja shook his head "No, I like it down here" He held his arms up "Pontoon? Forward!" The Pontoon crab groaned and began to move it's legs, propelling Iron Ninja onwards as the other crabs gathered back around him.

David stared straight down into the sea, curious as to how he could contribute to the sinking of the ships. An idea struck him and from this height, it had a real chance. He stepped to the side of the platform and stared down as speedboats passed to and fro from underneath. He took a breath and dove. "Please let me hit one, please let me hit one, please let me hit one..."

Mika looked at the boats speeding away and though, 'I'm not going to be of any use to the others in this mission. All of my attacks are land-based, not sea-based."
She then starts looking through her bag, just rooting around in there. 'Maybe i could use some seaweed to wrap around the boats and trap them...then again, i don't know if there's any sea weed around and besides, i doubt that they have any around here seeing as how it may clog up the big drill.'
Some seeds fall out of her bag by accident and she stops to pick them up. 'Huh....bamboo. Wait...maybe...' she thought. She then started thinking ofr herself throwing the bamboo trees like spears at the enemies and causing the boats to be destroyed by them before slaping herself out of that daydream and saying to herself, 'No. That's rediculous.'
She didn't doubt her spear throwing abilities, after all she practiced throwing pipes and bamboo like spears when she was bored, often imagening that she was in aincient times and that she was holding off an army like that and winning the battle, proving how badass she was. No, she doubted that her spears wouldn't reach those men. She'd need them to be going at bullet speed to reach them......
'That's it!' she thought excitedly. That's how she would help!
Quickly she sought for Anessa in the crowd that was her allies. She finally saw her, mentally facepalming herself for not seeing her earlier considering that she was very close to Mika.
'She seems not to trust anyone but i've got to try to get her to help. Even if that means i have to deal with that feeling of malevolence that i get from her(Mika's not good at reading faces...like me. She misinterprets looks very easily).'
She then gathered her nerves(which took a minute) and walked over to her.
"Um...Anessa? I-I think i have a plan on how we c-can take out some of the b-boats. I t-thought that maybe i could grow some b-bamboo spears and i could throw them at the boats w-while you speed them up so that they can reach the b-boats and cause lots of damage. We c-could also get Aileen to redirect them with her wind c-control so that they actually hit the boats and not splash into the water n-near them. W-What do you think?"

The green-haired girl (Mika was it?) looked very nervous as she spoke. Anessa couldn't tell if she was simply afraid or if it was because of something else. Either way, she liked the young girl's idea. Provided that Mika can aim when she throws them, Anessa could actually speed the "spears" up fast enough that they wouldn't only be able to get there, but they could possibly punch a hole through the boat if it landed a hit.

"As long as you know how to throw them I'd say it sounds like a plan." A smile crossed Mika's face as her plan started to come together. After a brief moment of silence Anessa turned and spoke in a voice hinting of slight confusion and skepticism. "Wait a second, did you say 'grow some bamboo spears', or did I hear that wrong?"

"I d-did say that." Mika said. She wondered if Anessa was paying attention during the introduction thing but if she wasn't Mika couldn't blame her. It was pretty boring as far as she was concerned.
Mika then dropped some bamboo seeds and pointed at them, forcing them to grow. The bamboo trees grow enough to resemble long spears before mika grabs one ofthem and lifts it up. The lifting part was pretty easy for her actually, considering the trees were grown on metal and as such, couldn't grab their roots on to anything. If they had been grown in the dirt or a sidewalk, then this wouldn't have been as easy.
"R-Ready?" Mika says, getting into a stance from which she could throw the spear at.

Anderson watched half of the team dive off of the platform and into the rolling Atlantic. As the patrol boats fanned out from the rig, he crept forward to take a tentative look over the edge. The thought of some untrained sea swimming was not appealing in the slightest.

A siren blared out above one of the doors leading to the depths of the rig. If he could shut that off, they might get a bit more time to deal with the boats. Frowning in concentration, he looked for a control box for the alarm system.

"I'm going after the alarms!" he shouted to the massed agents. "Keep an eye on that door!" With that, Anderson ducked around a pile of crates, heading for the central sections of the oil rig.

He couldn't go wrong, not after last time. He had to prove that he wasn't just a foolish scientist. He was a hero too...

The Iron Ninja's plunge into the water and crab based overturning of the boat shocks the other speedboats. Of the five left, two continue to make for the shore while three begin to circle The Iron Ninja at a distance, shooting madly into the water.

David's blind dive manages to push his way through one of the boats, rending a whole in the hull and gashing David's arms and legs. The boat begins to sink as David swims toward Iron Ninja, the sound of gunfire chasing at his heels from the soggy inhabitants of the downed boat.

Mika grows a Bamboo spear and with a nervous but practised stance casts it at one of the escaping boats. Midway through it's arch the spear rockets like a bullet, reaching inexplicable speeds. It peirces the driver through his chest and pins him to the wheel. His gun-totting comrades attempt to wrest him from the controls but are unable. They are still headed for the coast but are now completely at the mercy of the waves. Anissa nods contently.

Aileen throws gust of wind gust of wind at the boat Anissa and Mika impaled attempting to sink it. Water gets in but the gunmen are able to keep up with the flow. What they don't notice is the boat slowly shifting starboard as typhoons push the waves against it. The first fleeing boat impacts the second with a crunching noise.

The gunmen and pilot of the second boat flee onto the runaway ship as theirs surrenders to the ocean.

Dr. Anderson rushes to the electrical station of the oil rig. He's desperately searching for the alarm controls. He finds a large red lever near what looks like the executive's office. near the lever is a metal door. Behind the door Dr. Anderson hears the footsteps of men running up the stairs and shouting at each other.

POP!

The Opposing Force felt a bit dizzy; and justifiably so. He had never heard of anyone putting a recently-awakened coma patient on the front line, but they did anyway.

I'll get over it.

He looked around him; checking his surroundings. He decided that three things were certain.

One: He was on a boat of some kind.
Two: Gun-toting henchmen -obviously his enemies- were occupying the boat, all of them struggling to pull something -a bamboo stick?- out of the man at the controls.
Three: They were heading directly towards a cliff face, with ominous looking jagged rocks sticking out.

He knew what he had to do: Take down all the men on the boat, gain control, and turn away from the cliff. He had about a minute to do it, and he was dimly aware of two boats circling around a particular part of the water. No doubt who/what's there will need saving.

And on that thought, he drew his rapier, ran a bolt of electricity through it, and charged at the men. He hacked and blasted volts of lightning, until all of them were either dead or incapacitated.
After throwing the men off the boat, he turned his attention to the impaled man, and tried to free him from his prison. It was futile; no matter what he did; he was still pinned in the exact same position, the wheel not budging in the slightest. With a sense of desperation, he turned to the cliff.

Shit, I have about 20 seconds to go.

Looking around hurriedly, his instinct pleaded him to jump. However; he had another idea. One that was risky, could cost him his life if it didn't work, but would put him in a position to save whoever was being attacked behind him.

15 seconds.

With an adrenaline rush, he raced towards the back of the boat, and daintily hung himself over the edge. With both hands clasped around the rudder, he twisted the rudder sharply towards the left.

10 seconds.

He felt his grip on the inside of the boat slipping, and he began to dangle further downwards, the propeller flinging water in his face. He couldn't see, but he could feel the boat twisting right as the engines began to groan.

5 seconds

Now that he couldn't see, he couldn't tell where he was going, and how close to the cliff face he was. But he clung onto the back of the boat, clinging to the rudder with all his might.

Darren blinked as he was sent immediately into yet another combat zone. He hadn't even gotten to change out his pajamas since the first one yet.

"Of for fuck's sake..." he muttered under his breath, taking in his surroundings as quickly as possible. He noticed several boats, two of them shooting at his comrades, the other heading for a cliff face. He decided the one that was heading for the cliff was probably not a threat, and turned his attention to the hostile boats.

He reached out mentally and grunted, pulling one of the boats out of the water and gritting his teeth as he tossed it in the direction of the other boat.

"Come on...hit it!" he plead silently to no-one in particular.

Swimming with bleeding limbs wasn't a walk in the park. David looked back on his handiwork, the enemy ship sinking. In retrospect, some kind of action hero line might've been appropriate mid-dive. But now that the enemy was shooting at him, now was definitely not the time. He found an ally nearby...surrounded by crabs for some reason. He started struggling towards him, trying to weave as to avoid the shots, "Hey...friend..." Realizing he didn't know his name, "Little help?"

The Iron Ninja looked down at the struggling form in the water, his eyes narrowed behind his mask, he raised his spatula up high and screamed "Have at you vile demon!" before Gerald got a good enough grip on his ear and yelled "Not a bad guy!"
The Iron Ninja took a few seconds to register the words, then sighed and leant down, pulling the man out of the water and onto the crab pontoon. "You know..." Gerald muttered, "We should probably be a bit more weary of all these bullets." The Iron Ninja scoffed, almost knocking the bleeding man back off the pontoon with his wild gestures in the process. "Nonsense Gerald, we're perfectly safe." A lone shot blew a perfectly circular hole through his hat. The Iron Ninja took a few more seconds to think and then made a decision, "Crab Pontoon?" he bellowed "prepare to dive!"
Gerald turned to the new arrival "You might want to hold on."

Well, I'm not exactly much help here, am I? I can't politely ask the boats to come closer, and I very much doubt my chances trying to swim up to them.

Dr. Volkov was not used to being stumped for ideas. He had no use here, unless he wanted to shout at the rest of the team until they were done, but that all seemed...rather boring.

His fellow doctor, however, had had a fantastic idea - deal with the alarms. Not that Volkov knew a damn thing about security, but he was sure he could be more use aiding Anderson, rather than standing on the beach complaining.

Right then, security it is. Now...to find...something. That has a doctor by it.

Mika grows another bamboo spear and prepares to throw it at another boat when out of the corner of her eye she sees the boat that they already speared starting to turn away from the cliff.....wait, STARTING TO TURN?
'I thought we speared that one through the steering wheel? How is it turning? Oh well, maybe it will hit those rocks. And even if it does start turning back then i'll just spear it again....ah, i wish we had a pyrokinetic....it would be so much easier to have burning, Mach speed, wind guided spears....then hopefully the boats would explode but eh, can't have everything.'
She then looked around and decided to throw the spear at one of the boats that were shooting at the currently submerging ninja, Making sure to show aileen which boat she was aiming for.

Jazz looked at his teammates. They were working together, talking; that was good. Jazz might not need to help here. Still, he should do something if he could. Maybe he could drop one of the engines out of the ships...that would be a feat even for him, though. He had phased moving objects before, and objects from a distance, but never both at the same time. Could he do it? Maybe. There was a good chance; he just didn't want to test it.

Two of his teammates, the ninja and the one who couldn't feel pain (David, if he recalled correctly), were being shot at by two boats. It was odd, though...one of them seemed to be trying very hard not to lean towards the other...

Jazz looked for Darren. His face was screwed up in concentration, just like Jazz thought. Touching him on the shoulder, Jazz said, "You keeep doing what you're doing; I'll see if I can disable the other boat." Before Darren could reply, Jazz had jumped off the edge.

Jazz phased as he hit the water, hoping the water's current would help him fast-travel. It was harder to do in water, but not impossible.

A few hundred metres behind and above the boats was a sniper, glad to finally have something to shoot at that wasn't a seagull. The rifle was attached to a bipod locked onto the rusted railings, and peered out over the decks below. Directly below him were the people that had just arrived. His guess was that they were protestors, perhaps arriving on a small dinghy from the city. It wouldn't be too much of a task to kill them and remove the evidence. The press would surely think that they had simply sunk on their way to protest the oil station. Now, the first target. The man in a quasi-chef, semi-ninja suit who was riding on a... what appeared to be a crab. The man on the inflatable crab was the biggest danger. He aimed the red dot at the middle of the bizarre man's head and squeezed the trigger three times.

On top of the crab still headed towards the boats, the Ninja shouted in anguish. "Why does everyone think my hat is my head!" He inspected the damage to his hat, and saw the trio of little holes in it. Nursing the damage, he replaced it and recomposed himself for his impromtu diving session.

As the confused sniper lined up on the Ninja's chest, he felt a tug on the barrel. Then another. Suddenly, the entire barrel swung downwards, rotating on the railing and sending the grip into his jaw. As he recoiled backwards with blood dripping from his torn lip, the Black Hand operative saw a man in a creased business suit hanging onto the side of the railings, pulling himself over. A rope was hanging from the barrel, and it seemed that it had been made into a crude lasso. These protestors were certainly sneaky; and intrepid, too. It was only as the man in the business suit phased out of the visible spectrum that he realised that these were no protestors.

This was an assault from the Red Hand.

Pulling the pistol from his side holster, he swung around wildly in an attempt to hit the invisible man. After a few minutes, he decided that he had gone away and, with his pistol resting in his pocket and a bullet in the chamber, went back to his rifle. He unhooked the rope and took aim at one of the people on the deck below.

John made a snap decision. If this grunt soldier could take a shot, one of his allies - no, friends - would be almost certainly killed. His personal ethics about killing had to take a back seat when this sort of risk was involved. It hardly seems that I've been able to follow it very well, he thought. Two in as many days. Fantastic. He grabbed a hold of the soldier's pistol, phasing back into view. Quickly, he took a few shots at the corroded railings the grunt was leaning on and shoulder-charged him before he was able to turn around. The railings gave way and he fell forwards, taking the rifle and a large chunk of the iron bars with him. The rope John used to climb up looped and coiled through the air as it plummeted towards the concrete deck. Bloody hell, John thought, getting down just got a little bit more troublesome.

On the deck below, the remaining heroes gave a start as the soldier hit the ground, followed suddenly by the railings crashing upon his back. A voice from the upper deck called out to them - it was John.

"Use the rifle to take out the boats if you wish - and make sure that bastard's dead. I don't like killing, but I don't like doing things in half-measures even less." And, with that, he phased out of view again and hurried to find a way to the control room so he could help the others.

"Guys... Erm, GUYS!" Anderson screamed out, panicking as he heard the soldiers approach between the blares of the siren. He didn't know if his cries had been heeded by the group, but Dr. Volkov seemed to be headed his way. Excellent, he thought; Someone with a bit of physical prowess!

As Volkov approached, Anderson pointed sharply at the door. "Just stop them! I'll deal with the alarms!" With that, he grabbed the lever and yanked it down...

David nursed his right arm as he looked around the crab. He had been instructed to hang on...but there was nothing to hang on to. He clung to the top of the pontoon for dear life as the crab began to submerge. He began to grow concern that his injuries were making him grow delirious, for he was certain that crab was talking...
