Spartan Bannana:
I don't know Irish, sounds more like a waterbender then aquaman to me.
(Avatar FTW)

Yeah, I guess in hindsight, it does sound more Avatar-ish...nobody can be as useless as aquaman.

(Avatar FTW indeed)

Timezone = GMT for me (yay, Britishness!)

I appreciate the Antimatter thing is a touch over-powered but I'm not going to go huge with it, try and keep it 'realistic'. Plus my character has enough character flaws to make sure he won't get carried away. I wanted to do the 'nice guy with destructive power' bit, as typically it's the baddies who get to destroy stuff...
Basically, there's no big explosions, more annihilation/melting/evaporation on contact.

EDIT 2 - EDIT harder: Thanks Qayin (see below) for your confidence - If I go crazy at any point, please stop me!

I wouldn't say so - when antimatter and matter collide they annihilate each other; if an opponent kept behind cover then your projectiles would collide and annihilate the first thing it hits, but should be incapable of penetrating, as both the matter and antimatter are eradicated upon contact.

I suppose it depends on the use - if you're spamming high-speed antimatter 'lasers' everywhere, it could be a problem, but if there's a limit to what you can perform, it should be fine.

For Deus, my character in the original RP, Rex devised a system in which if I used his considerably powerful telekenesis too much, or lifted something too heavy, Deus would lose control - risk destroying himself, or harming his allies. Perhaps, if we have balance issues, we could come up with something similar - a certain amount of antimatter allowed to be used by you per 'round' or room, or fight, etc.

However, due to its nature, and the fact that you remain a 'normal' human biologically, then I would say it is balanced.

Damn it, all the good powers are taken

Give me untill tonight to come up with something creative, if I don't have anything then I'm not partaking in the RP

...What?

'All the good powers' are not taken - hell, even time control is still free, after Jobz changed. I'd say that counts as a fairly 'good' power.

Man, I might change my power to duplication, gimme a bit to think.
EDIT:

Sorry the backround is so short, I had finished the sheet then accidentally hit the back button and had to do it over, and I didn't feel like rewriting everything.

Don't Trenchcoat. Don't Mary-Sue.

What does this involve?

Anyways, i loved this RP before it died, so I wont to have a second crack at it. I know you may not be taking any more places, but I seriously want to play this again.

Please?

Anyway, if you can, same as before:

Lord Krunk:
Name: The Opposing Force (Name Unknown)

Detailed Explantion of Power: Can manipulate electricity, whether that means EMP pulses, conjuring thunder, or just plain lightning-ing people in the face. His power also gives him the ability to power devices, should the need arise, and he can also generate enough electricity to fly in the opposite direction he shoots (not quite flying).

Appearance: Brown hair. Blue Eyes. Tall, 19-years old. Has a gold-lined jacket that he uses to conduct and store electricity when needed.

Background: Australian, is a twin brother and orphan. Little more is known about him.

Personality: A rational thinker, he will always stand between an enemy and an ally, preferring to take hits himself rather than share the damage. He is a loner and prefers to be alone with his thoughts most of the time. He travels frequently, using his modified car radio to pick up police and other signals for further use when necessary.

Inventory (optional): WEAPON OF CHOICE: Specially modified rapier with electrical conduction and burst capabilities.

Motivation: Finding his brother (Who was taken away for reasons unknown)

Strengths & Weaknesses (non-power related):
He prefers to avoid violent situations, but when the situation occurs, he mainly acts to defend his allies. This creates problems, as he is, as a result, getting into death-defying situations.
Also, when using electricity-based attacks, it is useless against rubber, causing problems.
His strengths reside in the fact that in a world run by electricity, he is king. He can power/shut down anything he wishes, and creates blackouts where necessary.

EDIT: I'm Australian Eastern Standard Time.

Does anyone else find it odd that the mother of all trenchcoats does not, in fact, wear a treanchcoat?

Crap. No matter how hard I try, TOF still winds up a cliche.

Mind you, this is a Superhero RP, so cliches are pretty much accepted.

It sucks that trench coats have become so cliche. I wanted to get a brown leather one, they used to seem cool. Now every time I see someone in one they look like a complete douche.

Only noir detectives should be allowed to wear trench coats.
Actually, do those coats count as trench coats? Or are they just coats?
Either way they look awesome in them.

I believe they are trench coats. You know what...I'm gonna start some new random fashion. I'll wear some random clothing item that hasn't been popular for at least fifty years or so, then see how long it takes for everyone to start wearing it.

I'm going to stop now before I derail the thread.

Spartan and Krunk, you both were in the first one so you have automatic acceptance into the sequel.

That brings us up to 14 then (potentially 15 if figment of mind comes through).

Amnestic - Pyrokinesis
irishdelinquent - Hydrokinesis
Overlord Steve - Mind Control
Lucas113 - Antimatter manipulation
Jobz - Telekinesis/Velociokinesis
Portkins - (Undecided)
Qayin - ... Weapon-handokinesis?
Logician - Tangibility/Intangibility
Sargeant Tougie - Matalla
thebobmaster - Zephyrkinesis
Johnn Johnston - Invisibility
Iron Ninja - Crab-Control
Spartan Bannana - Duplication
Lord Krunk - Electrokinesis

Portkins, Lord Krunk's claim on electrokinesis outranks your own unfortunately (he had it in the first one) so you'll have to think of another power.

You could wear a poncho *snigger*

EDIT

instead of just conventional telekinisis, it should be something interesting...if I may offer an example (from a dream I had where I had this power)

What if instead of just moving things, you could control how fast, in what direction, ect that they moved? That way you could carry throwing stars or something. I think it would be cool. You could call it Velocokinisis

Apologies for my presumptuousness. I'm just trying to help out.

Hmmm...you know...that's not a bad idea. He could also use it to deflect other projectiles thrown/fired at him I suppose. I shall consider making the change.

It's ready now.

Name: Mika Hayashi

Detailed Explanation of Power: Has the ability to grow/control plants and materials made from plants. She needs no water to do this but may need some sunlight, depending on what type of plant it is.

Appearance: Green hair, Narrow blue eyes, Small nose, Natrally frowning mouth, Black sleeveless shirt, Black loose pants, White shoes, messanger bag full of her stuff and some seeds on her shoulder.

Personality: Shy, Very easy to tick off, Very generous.

Background: Origionally from Japan, Mika was raised in a nice part of ohio until her father got a better job in Memphis, Tennesse. They moved there and her father began getting more money instantly. Unfortunantly, her family had moved into a racist neighborhood and as a result, her family was always getting messed with by the locals. One day, she was walking home fom school when some of the local boys began messing with her. At first it was just name calling, but soon it began to escilate. They began pushing her around and before long she lost her temper and socked on of the boys in the mouth, making him lose his front teeth. Of course after that they began punching her and she kept fighting back. After a while Mika became too tired to fight back, and the boys took advantage of this. They kicked her when she fell down and then tied her to one of they're bikes. They then proceeded to drag her all around town, much to the locals joy, before cutting her loose and throwing her into a ditch near the power plant. She layed there for a while, reganing her energy and pondering about how she would get back at them for this when some of the waste from the plant fell off of the transport truck that was carrying it off to get rid of it. The waste fell on her and on the surrounding area, giving her a burning sensation on her skin and slowly mutating her to be like the other living things the waste coated. When it was over she got up and went home, deciding to go to the docters later. She soon made it home only to discover that her home was burned down by some of the people that hated them. She then threw a fit of rage and in the process, learned that she could control plants. She soon began learning the extent of her powers while looking for her family, not knowing if they had been killed by the fire or if they were okay. As soon as she finally mastered her powers she went and got revenge for her family by destroying the neighbors houses and seriously inguring the boys that hurt her. As soon as she did this, she decided to look for her family. After a few years of searching around and seeing all of the suffering that was caused by people to others, she decided to protect the weak in her own way while searching for her family. She has kept this going on for a few years(even joining up with a guy named Aodhan and fighting gangs) while traveling around the country. Her powers developed even further to include controling plant materials.

Motivation: To stop others from being cruel to the defenceless.

Strengths and Weaknesses: Strengths: The afor mentioned powers, Her ability to think on her feet, Her self developed fighting skills(some taken from reggie also), No need for soil to grow plants. Weaknesses: Needs much water, fire, her judgement gettingt clouded easily by emotion.

We've already got more than I was anticipating so I'm afraid I have to turn you away. However, if this goes well there will probably be another sequel (turn it into a trilogy), so if you wait around you may get another chance.

On an entirely seperate note, I believe I now have the character sheets of everyone participating so I'll set to work balancing them now and with any luck I'll have everything finished tommorrow and we can start this thing on Friday.

On an entirely seperate seperate note, we seem to have a good variety of timezones so I plan to keep this game going somewhat slower so as not to lose anyone. I'm going to ask you all to avoid lots of short one sentence posts on any given 'turn'. Instead aim for a couple medium sized posts. If you want to have a conversation with someone, do so in PM and then post it or just get their permission to puppet. But please do not fill up pages with one line repartee.

Does anyone mind the slower approach?

I'd like to inquire as to what a "medium" sized post is. Are we talking a 2 paragraphs? 4? I've not got a problem with that, in fact I'm rather more comfortable with such a setup as opposed to the one-line posts, but I'm just curious as to how much you're 'expecting' (perhaps that's the wrong word...) per post.

Medium for me means pretty much anything between 'Ratings-War' and a forum game. 2 paragraphs is fine. 4 paragraphs is fine. 6 paragraphs would be fine. I just want everyone's posts to be long enough to have a concrete purpose and portray the character. Thats my only expectation. Really, I don't care about the length as much as the quality.
