Most of the group walked away from the lobby and into the restaurant, leaving Alex alone in the strange lobby. The sound of conversation flowed from the restaurant although it was muffled, he could make no sense of what the others where saying. Most likely in the quest of breakfast, although how they could eat in these odd circumstances he did not know.

That man with camera, Jordon, said it was living tissue. Alex found that rather hard to believe, there is no way that this building could be covered with flesh... that's crazy. Crazy or not, he felt the need to examine the fabric further. He always had to examine things further, it was his nature. He pressed his face against the glass to get as close to the substance as possible, he was not blind or in the need of glasses but his eyes where starting to age, he could not see as clearly as he used to.

Yes... yes... he could see why someone would think that it looks like flesh but thinking it was flesh? That was obscene! Someone has been watching too many movies, clearly this is some sort of political stunt. Fur is murder, all that crap, it ruined his day, that was for sure.

He pulled his face away from the window and rubbed his chin. This was obscene, they would have told him that he couldn't leave this hotel... they wouldn't have sold him his room. It was possible that they left a back door open, that might be what the others where looking for. No need to chase after them, they would come and collect him if they found a way out of here. Alex started pacing back and forwards. It was possible the hotel staff didn't know about this. A group of people, twenty maybe, could easily put up something in the early hours of the morning. Most people wouldn't think much about the hotel itself or the possibility of people inside. Heh, people where probably outside right now, enjoying the show. Why this hotel in particular though? It was out of the way, rather bland and boring, it wasn't even that big. Just a regular hotel. Doing this on a Hilton, that he could understand, but this place? Why the hell would that happen!

He stopped walking backwards and forwards. He noticed before that the lobby had a computer. Maybe he could get some information from the computer system, it was unlikely but worth a shot. He walked around behind the lobby desk. There where no answers, just more questions. A struggle was evident. Papers where thrown around the desk and floor, the stool was tipped over and it looked like someone had thrown the keyboard on the floor. He also remembered the phone being off the hook when he tried to use it earlier. How he did not notice the rest of the mess was beyond him, must have been too busy with the windows. He flicked through the papers on the floor. There where nothing really. Insurance forms, bills, a hot water status report. Nothing usual, just junk. He bent down to pick up the stool and fallen papers when he noticed a shimmer of red on the side of the desk.

Blood. A bloodied hand print. "What the hell is this" he muttered. Someone was murdered here, that was clear. This was crime scene, he was trapped in a crime scene and it was possile... the murderer never left. He looked around and couldn't see any more blood... or a body, odd that all other blood has been cleaned but the hand print was not. Maybe the people that put this thing up other the walls broke into the hotel, there was an unfortunate lobby clerk here, they got killed. Yeah, that made sense. It made perfect sense.

But now what to do about the others. Could he trust them, would they trust him. Did they need to know what happened here? He took a sip of vodka. It was best that they knew, but not yet.

He walked away from the desk and back to the window, pretending that nothing happened.

Alex walked from the lobby to the restaurant. He could see a group of people standing around, looking dumbstruck. Noises came from what he could only deduce was the kitchen, it seemed as if people where already looking for food. A way out of here would be better but at least the food was free. No such thing as a free lunch though and by the smell of the place the price would be a nice amount of sickness with death as a dessert. They should know better then to sniff around the kitchen in this climate, they'll get themselves killed.

He walked over to the man standing by the kitchen door. Judging by the uniform and toolbox the man worked here, he could probably help him out a little.

"Hello friend" he said "I don't think we've been properly introduced. My name is Alex."
"Jim"
"Pleasure to meet you Jim, say do you work here?"
"Mechanic, I keep the place running!"
"Oh, you do a good job. Say, I was wondering if you knew the lobby staff, the people at the front desk?"
"Yeah sort of, not that well."
"Well it might interest you to know that it would seems there was a fight last night at the lobby desk, at least it would appear so."
"A fight..."
"Yes, a fight. It would seem that someone was killed there. While looking at some papers I found what appears to a blood stain on the side of the desk. As an employee here I was wondering if you could tell me who could have done this. Are there any political or protest groups that have it out for this hotel? Anyone at all."

Kaze didn't know why he had been rummaging through the freezer and fridge, but decided to press on. He wasn't the least bit interested in provisions, unless he would start wandering again, and would indeed like to get out of here and breathe the free air again, so he dislodged the chef's knife and pushed the back door in front of him to proceed looking for a way out.

"Most of the hotel employees are fairly well behaved and upstanding. They have a fairly rigorous process people go through to get hired here. I wouldn't think it would've been any of them, and then again, it's not like any of them are around to protest. Hehehh" Jim says, sweeping his hands around him and chuckles nervously. "But finding blood, that's pretty weird, we might wanna try and find a way outta here so we can call the police and get an investigation going. Hey, Ruski, what are you doin back there?" Jim says, then walks into the kitchen in pursuit of Kaze.

Wandering back into the lobby, Remy's mind reeled with the whispers that were traveling like wildfire through the hotel's populace.

"Someone was killed!"
"We're trapped in here!"
"No way out..."

Remy found the lobby completely devoid of life. Well, the plants looked alive, but... still. Remy felt a pang of fear as he realized he was alone. "Dear God... I must be an idiot." flashed through his mind.

As he glanced towards the front door, he noticed a thin... film, of some sort, covering the doorway. Stepping closer, a curious look on his face, he ran his fingers over the material. His hand shrunk away, shuddering at the film's disturbing texture. "Wha... what the Hell is going on in here?"

After Kaze snatched the key from his hand, Joseph wondered why he was so excited.
"Just some knocked over stools, a weird smell, and oganic film on the doors and windows."

Striding into the kitchen, Joseph picked up a large fillet knife.
"Nice. I like the weight." He mused.
Fought and fell for our great king we burned alive and boiled

"Interesting time for these lyrics." he thought. I like the song, though.

The dragon, red and wrathful calls. We rise and march once more.

Cursed in death, we starve for flesh
"Somebody is obviously starving for flesh here." Joseph thought.

"This is all so.. strange" Paxton mused to himself as he quietly followed the others into the hotel restauraunt. He didn't know what it was, but there was something amiss. The odor that had initially accosted his nostrils when he first entered the lobby had dulled his sense of smell. He was glad that he had gotten used to it, but that still didn't explain where it was coming from.

Paxton's stomach let loose a low growl. This garnered some odd looks from his fellow guests, but he shook them off. Paxton headed into the kitchen to see if there was anything he could at least snack on; perhaps a loaf of bread or some fruit.

Upon entering the kitchen, he saw a tall man with short black hair exiting a large fridge door.

"Hey, looking for some grub as well?" he called out to the man.

Paxton's eyes wandered around the kitchen while he waited for his reponse. He saw a loaf of sliced bread on a shelf near the back and started to walk towards it. As he passed the large stovetop, he felt an intense heat coming from it.

"What the..." he stopped and hovered a hand over the range. He felt a strong warmth being emitted from it and noticed that the burner was turned onto full.

"Did you leave this on?" asked Paxton of the man.

Ecky was still in the main lobby, pacing erratically and almost frantically. Not in panic or terror, but extreme annoyance and anxiety. He hated being stuffed in a clammy hotel like this, no chance to skate or have fresh air, not to mention it made him all the more noticeable to any..witnesses if he were to succeed of any future crimes. He lit another cigarette in a flurry of movements, obviously angered beyond any chance of obeying any 'rules' in the hotel.

As he puffed away like some demented mortal locomotive to calm his nerves he managed to find himself felling into the back of the pack. Most of the guests were in or around the restaurant now, so he followed lazily in the hope they'd actually find a way out. He managed to kill a fly annoying him with a smack to his head, squashing the little creature against his palms. He took another drag of his second cigarette of the day as he leaned on the bar, all the while muttering to himself:

"Yo debería tener nunca vino aquí..."

Though he seemed calm on the outside, the signs of struggle he had seen in the lobby, and now here in the restaurant, were having an effect on Jordan. The last thing he had expected to find were signs of a struggle, but when ,out of curiousity, he had swung by the desk, hoping to find a pen and some paper so he could take some notes on the strange fleshy covering on the door, he had froze in shock as he saw the bloody handprint.

Being an outdoorsman, Jordan had learned along time ago that visibly freaking out is not the best use of your time. Crying like a little baby is a good way to attract the attention of a pissed off grizzly, so any fear he had was channeled into what ever he was doing, helping him keep calm, though he did have a slight tremor running through him.

Looking around at the other people in the restaurant, he decided it was time to do something. Hearing the faint sound of voices coming from the kitchen, he heads that way, hoping he can find something to calm his nerves, and work with the rest of the people to get out of this place.

Matt stepped into the kitchen and looked around at the other patrons. They were scavenging for food like animals. It was starting to hit him that something might be wrong here. Would he be able to get out in time for the movie? At all? Maybe the producers would call for help once they saw the hotel's condition.

He walked over to the refrigerator, looking for anything that he could eat right now. He was starving, and that didn't bode well in situations like this.

Speeding by Paxton as he exited the freezer, Kaze didn't even hear him for the single-minded determination he was possessed by.
Upon asking something again, interrupting his train of thought and action, Kaze loosened the knife and turned around to face him.
"What? No. Why?"
It was on full heat. So, someone had left this place in a hurry? Shaking his head, Kaze didn't care. All he knew was he wanted out of here. He tried just as hard to escape from his own thoughts. Grabbing his head with both of his hands and turning around, he had to press on and made for the door.

The elevator dinged, the doors slid open, Wilson rolled out. He sniffed, his nose meeting with an unpleasant odour. Meat? What the... His chair rolled forward, the wheels filling the lobby with the high pitched squealing of their complaints. He winced. Then he spotted the doors.

The film across the glass, what looked like veins, the strange smell... What the hell?.

He wheeled his way over to the doors, pressing against them. They resisted, not giving even a centimetre. He pushed again, this time with more force. He rolled back slightly from the force of the push, but the doors didn't give. He wasn't stupid enough to think he had any chance. He was 71. He'd let the younger people sort it out. He rolled over, into the restaurant, with the intention of finding someone to explain what was happening, or at the very least get the doors open.

Matt peeks out the door, relieved to see that the repairman wasn't looking. He might have a problem with what he was going to do, which was grabbing several minor food items from the shelves and putting them in his pockets. They might be needed later.

He stepped back out into the main kitchen area and started looking at the canned food items on the shelves. There appeared more red sauce in drops on the floor, just like out in the restaurant. And maybe if he kept telling himself it was just sauce, he could avoid panicking.

Stepping away from the shelves, Matt stepped over to the guy looking at the stove. "It's probably not a good idea to turn that on without a cook here, you know."

Joseph looks at his new knife.
"Just what I was looking for." Murmered he. Right. Now, he had a knife. The next step is to see if he can cut that film off the door.

Casting a glance towards Kaze, he wondered if he should try the back door first.
"No, if the windows and front door are covered, the back door will be too. Better to head back to the front."

Joseph walks back into the restaurant, noticing the mechanic and a man in a wheelchair.

Jim hears a door shut from inside the kitchen and goes to investigate. Walking around the corner, he sees a foot disappear at the end of the hall and a knife gone. Jim cocks his head to the side, thinking, why would someone take a knife right now? This was all a little odd but not time to be mincing meat or...using it against another person. A look of fright stretches across Jim's sweaty face, was this guy a psycho? Was he leaving so that he could slit their throats while they slept?

Grabbing a knife for self defense, Jim follows where he saw the man go, his steeltoe boots clicking loudly against the tile floor of the kitchen. He slowly opens the back door out of the kitchen and raises his eyebrows. So it was the foreigner who grabbed the knife, eh? Jim closes the door and slowly takes his wrench out of his toolbox, replacing it with his toolbox. Moving slowly, he lifts the wrench above his head, moving toward Kaze and getting ready to swing...
The air around the wrench swishes menacingly and Kaze just has time to turn around before....

Absentmindedly rubbing his mildly itching hands against his trousers, Remy peered closely at the small layer of... flesh and mucus stuck to his medical scissors. "What in the...?" Turning to the others in the lobby, he says "Does anyone have some sort of examination equipment? A microscope? Magnifying glass? Anything?"

Realization hits him as he speaks. Raising his hands to his eye level, he looks closely at them, the faint itching sensation growing in intensity. As he watches, the colour of his hand begins to tint to a reddish hue. "Oh... Oh no." Rushing out of the lobby towards the bathroom, he calls back into the lobby "Do NOT touch the door!"

As he rushes away, a faint clacking is heard as his medical scissors fall from his hands, the viscous substance oozing in a small pile on the floor.

Given no more than two seconds to take in what was behind the door, Kaze heard someone moving aggressively behind him. He turned swiftly, and saw a man on his way to swing something at him. With deft movement born of years of practice, Kaze blocked at the man's wrist, but the man lost his balance and fell over him. Expertly turning the man mid-air, he landed on top of him and struggled to hold him down.

From the lobby Alex could hear a man yell out "do not touch the door". Worrying that something has gone amiss he starts to run out of the restaurant. He stops when a sudden feeling of itchiness engulfs the side of his face. He scratches madly at the top of his face, he had never felt something this bad before. The window, it must have been something on that damn window. What the hell was on it? He Begin to feel some strange oil or slime on his face, on the spot that he pressed against the glass. Fuck his curiosity! Why the hell did he touch that glass?

He looked around the restaurant for something, anything, to clean his face. Spying the small bar in the corner of the room he rushes over there. He could see his face in the reflective steel behind the bar. His forehead and tip of his nose was a strange colour of red. The rest of his face was fine. They did not touch the glass. He pulled on the tap, alcohol came rushing out. He put his head under the tap, in a very awkward position he twisted his neck to get the liquid to splash on his face. He kept it like that for a while. The liquid splashed over the floor and down his back but it was a relief to know he could no longer feel the slime. He stood back up and turned off the tap. The sudden movement had upset his back and his face still itched. Whatever had caused the itchiness was gone. That was a relief. Noticing a rag hanging behind the bar he picked that up and dried himself off, the rag's roughness helped him scratch his head. While it was discomfort, he would have to endure.

He went to grab a lemonade from behind the counter. As he wasn't startled by a strange scream we poured the drink normally.

Jim's vision blurs as he hits the floor, his back throbbing.
"I knew it," Jim shouted, rage and pain filling his voice, "I fucking knew you were out to get us all!" Jim's voice echoes through the cold tile of the kitchen and he grabs Kaze's neck with both hands and begins to squeeze.

As the man grabs Kaze's throat, he lowers his head and puts his shoulders up to shorten his neck, making the man lose any power in his grip. He then wrenches his hands off and forces them to the floor.
"What the fuck are you talking about?!" Kaze screamed at the man. "You were the one who tried to attack me without any fucking reason! You're a fucking maniac!" He prepared a devastating knee to the scrotum.

Jordan enters the kitchen just in time to see the door at the back of the kitchen swing shut. Looking around, he began to search for something to eat, preferably some fruit. Just as he was pulling some food out of the big walk in fridge, he heard a scream, followed by shouting and cursing, coming from out that back door.

It was a loud, painful sounding scream, a sound he had only heard a few times before, once when a hiker had fallen and broken his leg, and he himself had made it when he had fallen and impaled his hand on a tree branch. It is definately not a plesant sound, and it was generally always accompanied by fairly serious injury. Quickly digging through some drawers, he finds some towels and heads out the back door, unsure as to what to expect...
