As my only Norse named ship was blown up by Xitel (Grumbles and shakes fist) Sure. I like the sound of 'Zeus' Lightning'. I already have Hydra Warships, Erebus Treasury and transport ships, and Hermes Fighters to defend them. As well as Trident Bombers for tactical strikes. The Hammer of Thor exploded though, so I suppose, Greek will have to do. Also, we really need to actually attempt to organize that/those UK meet-up(s) we spoke about. |

There was a time on the Escapist when none of this kind of silliness was around. Before there was the massive boom of new members. I only came in right at the end of that and right when new people started to rush in. If only we could go back to the more sophisticated Escapist. I side with Qayin on this one. |

Just go to Off-topic if you want that. This is Forum Games and RP. We do have sophistication here, just in smaller amounts than elsewhere. Take Trepidation as an example of sophistication here. And take PMHBKBN(President Mobius has been kidnapped by ninjas) as an example of crazy fun. |

Agreed, the sophisticated Escapist forums would be something to miss. However, I do not find it is lost. It is more as if there are two separate dimensions of the Escapist. I suppose this depends on if one can ignore all the bad effects brought on by less sophisticated new members. In the same sense, many new members are very constructive, productive and talented, like a fresh breeze to it all. This thing, however, is nothing short of fun. ^_^ |

This is poor form, dedicating a new thread to a war against a user is one thing, but Invading that user's game, and now acting like elitist dicks towards him is too far. Which leads me on to my next 'bah humbug'; Sorry all, the Escapist already has a King. There's fun and games, and then there's singling out a new user, for the purpose of, what, an RP-war? Personally, I hope the mods intervene. Yes, this is a pseudo-RP, but a fictional RP-war is still way over the top. Is this how we welcome new users now? Forget silly, this is downright awful. |

Nah, just staying in character. I don't have anything against the guy.. apart from his thread being so devoid of correct language usage. I've already greeted him heartily before he decided to make this country, as I do with many new 'Pists. They're dear to me. =) As for invading his thread.. I think we owe him an official declaration and presentation of his adversaries. So far I have yet to hear any complaints from him about it, but if he does have anything against it, I shall naturally cease. You do make a good point. |

That's an idea. They might not show up though, some of them don't seem to have ventured outside of the Escapia thread. And they might not show up anyway, as they seem to be against a battle. |

After months of peace and liberty, the Escapist President has had enough. A rogue separatist branch of the Escapist had formed their own illegitimate government. The secessionists called themselves Escapia, and they had to be stopped, lest the entire site fragment into warring factions. there is only one man with the force of will to lead an assault on the rebel insurgents. Darth Mobius is that man.
"My fellow Escapists,"
"I come before you today with grave news of an insidious new danger. They call themselves Escapians, but they are nothing less than rebels and traitors to the Empire. Under my Second Galactic Empire, we have had peace and prosperity, but now these rebels are threatening that peace. We must move to stop them. As such, I am enacting the military treaties I signed with my fellow Sith Lord, Darth Corruptus, as well as any and all members of the SDP and loyal Escapist residents. Today is our chance to fight for and defend our great Empire. Today is the day we stand against Tyrants like Optimus Prime and those who he has bribed to stand behind him. Today, We fight for GLORY AND FREEDOM!"
A great roar went up from the crowd as he turned to his flag-Captain.
"Ready my fleet and the Army. Today we shall begin this war as only an Escapist can."
Within three hours of the order, a fleet of 24 Star Destroyers escorted three Super Star Destroyers and two Interdictor Cruisers on their maiden voyage to war.
