Best Team Comps to Try With Kazuha in Genshin Impact

The best thing about Kazuha is that, as an Anemo support, he is incredibly versatile and works in almost any team comp. That’s why many top Genshin Impact team lists feature him quite prominently. That being said, some perform particularly better and can help clear hard content such as the Spyral Abyss easily. Before getting to them, use our guide to make sure you’ve built him properly to make the most of his talents.

Ayaka – Shenhe – Kokomi – Kazuha

Sangoomiya KokomiHealerBarbara, Mona
Kaedehara KazuhaSupport

This has been one of the best team compositions in Genshin Impact for a long time. It’s expensive, though, consisting of all 5-star characters, so cheaper alternatives are very welcome. Ayaka and Kazuha are the core pieces needed to make the comp work well. It’s incredibly effective at dealing with groups of enemies, with Kazuha able to group them up, Kokomi applying Hydro, then Shenhe Freezing them in place, and finally unleashing Ayaka’s devastating Burst on the frozen enemies.

Pros
  • Huge AoE damage with high damaging Bursts.
  • Permanently freezes enemies in place.
  • Easy to pilot.
Cons
  • Not as efficient against bosses that move a lot.
  • High gear requirements for Ayaka/main carry.
  • Mona variants have higher damage but lower Hydro application and no sustain.

Aggravate

Raiden – Yae Miko – Kazuha – Baizhu

BaizhuHealerNahida, Yaoyao, Kirara

Aggravate is an awesome team comp to try with Kazuha in Genshin Impact because he’s very good at using his abilities to Swirl Electro. As long as you keep applying Dendro, this will trigger Aggravate reactions for an Electro damage dealer to take advantage of. Raiden Shogun is one of the best to use for this, but she can be substituted for any Electro damage dealer you want to use on-field.

Pros
  • Great against bosses and regular enemies alike.
  • You rarely run out of energy.
  • Consistent damage even while doing filler skills.
Cons
  • Highly dependent on Burst rotations.
  • Nahida variants are stronger but leave you with no sustain.

International

Tartaglia – Xiangling – Kazuha – Bennett

Team MemberRoleAlternatives
TartagliaMain DPSKamisato Ayato, Yelan
XianglingSub-DPS
Kaedehara KazuhaSupport
BennettSupport/Healer

One of the best-known, strongest team comps in Genshin Impact for a good reason. Bennett’s Burst heals and buffs the team’s attacks, and Kazuha can Swirl Bennett’s Burst for nice Pyro Swirls and resistance shred. Xiangling requires no introduction with her insane off-field Burst damage; enter Tartaglia (Childe) to use his Burst and Skill to Vaporize the hell out of all the Pyro, and enemies will crumble.

Pros
  • Most damage comes from reactions, so Elemental Mastery is a lot more valuable.
  • DPS characters (Tartaglia and Xiangling) have a lot of base damage, even without perfect weapons/artifacts.
  • One of the best AoE teams in the game but also excels at boss-killing.
Cons
  • Alternative options are limited and not nearly as strong.
  • Requires a lot of precise timing in your rotation.

Hyper Carry Raiden

Raiden Shogun – Kujou Sara – Kazuha – Bennett

Team MemberRoleAlternatives
Raiden ShogunMain DPS
Kujou SaraSub-DPS/Support
Kaedehara KazuhaSupport
BennettSupport/Healer

This comp revolves around Raiden being the main carry. Sara provides a massive increase in damage (especially if she’s C6), and Bennett brings his usual buffs and heals from his Burst. Kazuha can Swirl either Pyro or Electro to great effect and shred resistances while grouping enemies for Raiden to make short work of. This comp is relatively set and may not function well with substitutes.

Pros
  • One of the best Raiden-centered teams, allowing for huge Burst numbers.
  • Generates all energy it needs in a single rotation.
  • Cooldowns align almost perfectly, so it feels smooth to use.
Cons
  • Team building is set in stone with no real alternatives.
  • Very expensive as it requires two five-stars and (preferably) lots of constellations for a four-star.

Mono Pyro

Kazuha – Lyney – Xiangling – Bennett

Team MemberRoleAlternatives
Kaedehara KazuhaSupport
LyneyMain DPS
XianglingSub-DPS
BennettSupport/Healer

Taking maximum advantage of Lyney’s talent, Kazuha skyrockets his damage to an even bigger ceiling by constantly Swirling any Pyro application brought by the team. As soon as Bennett puts down his Burst, Xiangling and Lyney can take the lead to burn down any enemy standing in their way to a crisp.

Pros
  • Lyney greatly benefits from a mono Pyro team, and Kazuha is perfect for enabling more damage to all of them.
  • Guarantees 100% Pyro swirl on Kazuha’s Burst (given no infused enemies).
  • Lots of damage in Charged Shots and Bursts.
Cons
  • No flexibility in teammates.
  • Lyney is susceptible to random one-hit-KO’s in higher Spiral Abyss floors as he drains his own HP and has poor defense.

Those are the best team comps to try out with Kazuha in Genshin Impact. There are tons of other teams Kazuha will benefit from with his supreme versatility, so if you have the characters to do so, give these a try, and you’ll crush content in Genshin Impact. If not, don’t worry – Kazuha can serve you well in almost any team.
