Paperboy Posts: 18 Joined: 14 Feb 2008 | I like planning, and I like forms, so planformers is probably my favorite genre. :P But seriously, I love platformers. I recently obtained a moneyseize addiction that I can't seem to shake off. I can play that game for a good couple of hours just trying to get that one coin. |

Anonymous Source Posts: 7 Joined: 8 May 2009 | Role-playing, although I also loathe them. Forgetting the old front ends I guess my favourites are Fallout I & II. Mainly because you can choose how you go through them and then afterwards it judges the world you left behind. After that I suppose Kotor I, Planescape and Baldurs gate. I'm also a Morrowind fan, but it, like Kotor II, Baldurs gate II, Icewind dale and Never Winter nights (1 & 2), suffers from the problem of a lot of the bigger rpgs. In an attempt to mimic flexibility they have ultimate combos and best ways of doing things. I enjoy playing through Fallout as a lone gun, or a martial artists, or a lost techie or a kleptomaniac thief, and each time I play, I have to play through differently, I pick up different companions and I fight in different ways. And I really hate the stupid good/evil mechanics, mainly because it seems your only choices are give money to charity or eat babies. Kotor I survives it by allowing you options like "yes I'll help (lie)" and its story is about black and white. Kotor II attempts to bring up the concept of grey, but still only lets you eat babies or donate to charity. |

Press Junketeer Posts: 455 Joined: 8 Sep 2009 | I'm a lover of games in general, it seems..... I love a good FPS (although I'm pretty bad at them), RPGs can be fantastic (Fallout 3 is my favourite game of this current generation), Warcraft 3 is a game I can always return to and have fun with, and who DOESN'T love a platformer (whether it be the original super mario bros. or LittleBigPlanet?). Also, another genre to take note of (I doubt this would fall under the "adventure" title) are sandbox games - hell, it was Grand Theft Auto 3 that made me buy a PS2 in the first place and reinvigorated my love for gaming after I grew tired of my N64. However, a genre that I find myself going back to time and time again and always having so much fun with are rhythm games... although I know I've played Fallout for over 250 hours, I have a good feeling that my time spent playing Rock Band 2 is similar, if not higher. |

I must be one of the few people on here who's favourite is Driving/Racing games. That probably sounds like blasphemy here but i standup for the racers who enjoy the thrill that speed has to offer.
