How will Genre Wars end?

We've all seen the topics on the end of GW but I got a thought. If it were to end, HOW would it end? Would there some clash of the five factions where one faction would finally overwhelm with motherships or ride atop their mighty galleons to the fore?

So what's your views?

It will proobably quietly and suddenly come to an end, much like unforgotten realms did, god I miss unforgotten realms

Yeah, it was fun for a few people for a while, but like gutterslime said, it will probably quietly go out.

It will end like World of Warcraft somewhere between the fourth and seventh expansion. No more back story and bosses to kill whom are plot relevan. Unless they make a new Warcraft game that is... where wars ei?

This was my thought. At the end of the day, it IS just a browser game, after all.

maybe it will end when one the factions has reached a certian number of wins.

The fourth wall will come crashing down, causing the participants to realise they are completely fictional and in a browser game. They will then cease to care as well as exist.

With age I guess, possibly the next generation comes along and starts a new genre war, maybe some of the old survive but there may be new ones.

When everyone stops using it?

Well as there are badges, I would say never.

It's over for me. Got a few badges, had some fun, now there's so few players are my mid-range $$$ level to challenge that I just can't win.

From the looks of it, I'd say the Robots build an orbital laser-nuke-knifegun-chucksaw and kill the other factions.

All the genres shall be homogenized into one mega-faction to fight the real enemy: going outside!

Pretty much what he says. A game goes out when people can't be arsed to play it anymore.
