| Domehammer: National Organization for Marriage was in wrong with petition at first but Starbucks shame on you. Don't fight fire with fire, all they have done is give NOM tons of publicity and gotten them potentially more supporters who didn't know about group.
But arguably this has created a lot more opposition to the group since now people know what inane bullshit they're peddling. |
| hardlymotivated: Way to go, Starbucks.
I ain't even American, but the "National Organization for Marriage" can fuck right off.
i whole heartedly second that |

Shock horror, some Democrats don't favour gun control.
In other news, fire is still hot* and water is still wet.

O_o
Well...
That's unexpected.
Edit: Actually, now that I remember, many Libertarians vote Democrat since they agree more on social issues, one major Libertarian thinker lists most democrat presidents better presidents than Republicans (Regan is rated 34th while Clinton is rated 11th). |
| My first thought was, I got to get me some Starbucks, then I remembered that I hate coffee. But if it means supporting gay rights, I will gladly slug down some Starbucks. And to the NOM, to quote GTA IV, "Stop crying and stay down!" |

Back in 2004 the Republicans had a Democrat make a speach at the RNC. Said democrat tore the Democrat Party to shreds.
Being registered as a member of a party doesn't mean much on it's own; you had that asshole who wanted to put up those graphic anti-abortion ads during the superbowl so little kids would see it, he runs as a Democrat so he can use the laws on political ads to his advantage while not running the risk of taking votes away from a Republican candidate.
So just being a member of the democrat party or running as a democrat doesn't nessicarly make you a democrat; if you run on Republican platforms and ideas then you're still a Republican no matter what name you call yourself. |
