Oh fuck, spoilers!

Also his apology was.......Yeah, that's not an apology. He basically pulled the "oh, I know *insert demographic here* so I can't be anti *dmeographic*, but *anti demographic statement" gambit. >_>

"Shhhhhhh quiet down and be the good little scapegoats we need you to be"

I can't wait for 20 years later when we're all complaining about holographic porn.

You know it'll happen.

Bah, this rock n roll, it's too loud! It's the devil's music, I tell you! It'll drive the kids mad!

Wha....what are you doing back there in the 1950's?? They proved that wrong. Get back here to 2013! Jeez, everyone knows its the VIDEO GAMES that are too loud and will drive kids mad. Honestly.....

What? I thought it was those gosh-darn comic books that are causing them to go all rogue and not listening to their parents.

LOL, this. This AD&D thing is Satan worship! The only real difference is that video games caught on more than AD&D ever did, but there were scare movies about AD&D back in the day, tons of articles, and at least a couple of books proclaiming how awful it is. I think every generation has something like this, and it's always goofy.

(I went through that in my small rural HS, btw, the AD&D is Satan worship thing. We had a game in the school library during lunch and the (uber-religious) librarian complained about it, so the principal played with us for a week. At the end, he said "I don't really get it, but it's harmless. Let the kids have their fun, Margaret.")

Xan Krieger:
Also why do you feel that way about the NRA? Seems like an extreme view.

What's inaccurate about his characterisation of the NRA then? Everything he mentioned they either have on board or carry out.

They may have the PR sense to not parade around signs that say "Thank god for school shootings!", but that's pretty much their opinion anyway; they oppose anything meant to stop such things. That's the same as encouraging it.

Turns out the guy who said it sent me a PM saying he posted that whole thing so you wouldn't have to (he was basically mocking you). Anyway, they did propose putting police in schools and several schools here are going through with that so they did in fact propose a way to reduce violence in schools and people have put that into practice.

BEST. PRINCIPAL. EVER.

Seriously, most principals would have just gone "Ok" and banned the thing altogether. The fact that he was willing to play with you to see what it was is incredible. :)

Listening to all of the hypotheses on what the next interactive media witch hunt will be makes me wonder if I will be part of said witch hunt, I don't want to, but I bet thats what all of the politicians said when they were young.

OP:
Um yeah, this guy is wrong. If every single member of the NRA gets to shout out for guns, then I think every member of the video game community gets to shout out for video games.

And why don't he mind his own damn buinesees, and stop trying restrincting our rights to view an interactive movie. It amazes me who would even vote for him, and why does he not use his own damn money instead of wasting it on the tax payer. This is America where we should the right to free speech, and I be damned once again to speak out against people like them who thinks us being angry at him proves his bloody point, that put aside when's the last time he did something in self interest like drinking beer or wine, that's selfish since he is talking about video games that way. Nanny state supporter, and their hypocrisy.
