Tired and covered in blood that wasn't his own, Matt started walking towards the palace. Hopefully he would get some answers and a place to sleep. Thankfully he didn't have to walk far.
Youmu stared at Akasumi the entire time as she stepped onto the statue's palm, wondering what she meant by "old woman". There didn't appear to be anyone particularly old around, and despite her own silver hair she was only about nineteen years old. Or at least, that's what she told most people.
It still didn't feel right submitting to the Uchiha girl's authority the same way she did with Yuyuko, but given the circumstances, she didn't have much of a choice. I'll have to create another card, she thought. Just in case she gets the idea I've outlived my usefulness...
Amaya raided the hand up to her. "My name is Amaya, Akasumi's twin sister, she's more matured and 'filled out', i guess you could say." she said to Youmu. "and no it doesn't hurt." she said gesturing to the spikes impaling her.
Akasumi appeared on the statue's shoulder and removed Madara's mask. "Hello there, the royal family died fleeing the attack. i did everything to make sure their leave was stealthy but while fighting Mr. A, assasins got to them. We need a new Emporer, or in this case emporess. we can't give orders, its not in our nature. we need you to command us."
"Me?" Youmu asked. "But I've never commanded an army before...I usually just watch out for myself." And one other, she thought, not wanting Akasumi to know about Yuyuko just yet.
Matt stumbled into the courtyard where Akasumi and Youmu were talking. "Can somebody... give me... some answers?" was all he could manage through his panting. While it had been a short walk, the bullet wound, various cuts, and tiredness had taken their toll on him. Matt then suddenly collapsed to the ground as he passed out from blood loss.
"Yes, we were raised as tools and are tools. we get power and go mad with it, no leash and we stop working. it usually degrades into us killing innocents because of boredom." Amaya said.
"We want to bring peace into this world yet we lack the guidance and driving force to do so."
"I'm not surprised you don't trust us, but please we ask this of you."
"I still don't quite understand," Youmu admitted. "But that's mostly because I think you keep changing the topic...And besides, like I said, I lack the capacity to lead an entire nation." She glanced over at Matt before returning to Akasumi and continued, "You say it's not in your nature? Then why not have someone else be the figurehead? Someone like that guy down there?"
The dragoness shook her head in rage, "You dare to grasp my visage, human?! Who do you think you are to touch ME. ME, a mighty DRAGON !"
Caim quickly pulled out his sword, ready to attack the Red Mage upon the dragon. Luckily, Red Mage teleported away from the dragon's face before she could throw him off. Caim was ready to charge Red Mage, which will be dubbed RM, threw up his hands and shouted,
"Peace! Please, hold your sword at bay!"
Caim stopped, and asked (as I remember Red is able to speak telepathically)
"And why should I? You have trespassed upon lands that you have not gained permission to enter, appeared out of nowhere without stating your business, and insulted my dragon ally to the point where she seeks your blood. Tell me why I shouldn't strike you down and allow her to feast upon your corpse."
RM stood, and (keeping his hands raised) said, "What happened was an accident. I didn't mean to dishonor or anger your dragon there. I meant to speak with you two instead. If you would put down, your blade, I would be happy too. Okay?"
Caim lowered his sword a small amount, "Apologize, and I'll hear you. Mean it."
The Red Mage gave a deep bow, and said in draconic tongue, "I humbly ask your pardon, child of fire and air, for my actions were not not ones of malice, merely of mistake."
After a few moments of silence, (and Caim rubbing the dragon's nose to calm her down), she spoke once more, "I will forgive you human, for calling upon your own folly, however, I ask you never do that again."
RM tipped his hat and said, "Understood."
Caim sheathed his sword, and, while still petting the dragon, asked, "Why have you come? That mystery remains to be answered."
"He just took a number of lives ad you really want a european guiding this nation?" Amaya asked.
The statues hand reached down and picked up Matt, showed him to Youu.
"I don't know him that well," Youmu said. "If you have a thing with this guy, I'll just let you two deal with it. In the meantime, I'm not cut out for leadership any more than you say you are, so..." She jumped down from the statue, landing on Roukan again to let it take most of the impact. "I'll be back inside if you need me at all." She started walking towards the palace again, mentally shaping the use of her latest spell card for when she would actually create it. I really hope she doesn't disturb me while I'm working on it, though...
Red Mage stood up again and looked out toward the black sky dotted with stars, "All I ask for is a place to rest." Red motioned to his tattered clothes and body, "It was quite a fight I pursued earlier tonight."
"Why did you come to us?" Caim asked.
"It was an emergency teleport rune," Red held up a small green talisman, "Randomly selects an ally and teleports me to their hitbox. It's extremely powerful and imprecise. I'm lucky i didn't end up in her stomach."
The Red Mage nodded to himself and then fell asleep standing.
The dragoness was puzzled, but then called her two allies back into conference.
Rugal was enjoying the latest sparring event amoung his men when his head of Intel came to give him an update.
"My lord, Kazuya and Gouki have delivered your message, also, the attacks on Mark's 5 and 1 (Mr.A and Matt) have failed and the Snake Princess has arose to power in the Empire during Mark's 5's attack on the palace."
Rugal processed this informantion...
...He came to a solution
"Send Gouki to the the Crowning of the Snake Princess, tell him to not hold back..."
Akasumi took Matt from the Statue's han an sucke him into her eye and herself soon after. A little alteration to him should make a fine Eporer.
Amaya and the Statue stood guard over the palace.
Geese was training his Kata in his room in the palace, healed up and ready to get his payback against Rugal.
"Fucking ninjas," was all Matt said as he slowly woke up, keeping his eyes closed. As he slowly got up, he was hit with a wall of soreness from all over. That was the last time he would face a group of ninjas while sleep deprived. "Where the hell am I?" he asked no one in particular as he slowly opened his eyes.
Akasumi was Standing infront of matt when he woke up. "Welcome to the world of the living sleeping beauty. You're inside my head right now so i should say welcome to my realm. How well can you lead?"
"Well it depends, 'Snake Princess'," Matt started as he lit up a cigarette. "If you're talking about a military, I might be alright. A company is straight out of the question. Now if we're talking about a country, which I'm guessing you are, it depends on how involved you want me to in the inner workings," he explained as he kept smoking. He had promised to stop, but it definitely helped with the soreness now.
"The Japanese empire needs a new Emporer, so you've hit it right on the head. How the country is run is up to you. do it yourself or pass it off to the lords, i don't care. What really matters is that you have two extremely powerful beings, getting bored and need a leader. We're offering ourselves and the country to you. So make the choice." She said.
"Fine, though I don't think the people will accept someone who looks like me as their emperor," Matt said reluctantly after giving it some thought. "So what happens next?" he asked Akasumi. He honestly had no idea what to expect now. Though he did know that this would probably change history unless this was supposed to happen.
"This is what happens next." Akasumi said as a mirror appeared infront of Matt. It showed his entire face reconstructed, It looked and breathed Royal Japanese Emporer. "You'll be welcomed as a new Emporer by me. The civilians will give their support, because i give mine. Any Questions your highness?"
Wherever Tomoya was he knew that the higher up have called him to talk to him about his future. Tomoya muttered some words and a giant beam of light engulfed him and turned him into a ball, and the ball went into the clouds to not be seen for a while.
Gouki sneaked though the palace grounds and saw the Light that Tomoya gave off.
"Mmmm...My Lord should know about this..." he said to himself before re-focusing on his mission: to kill the Snake Princess
"Actually I do have a couple questions. Firstly, is there a network of spies in place? If I am to give you targets, it is essential that I have spies to give me information. Secondly, who are your four strongest warriors? I would like to use them as bodyguards in case I am attacked. Other then that I think I'm good to go," Matt said as he finished his cigarette.
After having finished her new card design, Youmu looked out the window. Being unable to see anything since most of the torches had been put out, she sent out her will-o-wisp to scout for her. Something didn't seem right down there, starting with the fact that all the torches were out at once. Then the orb bumped into someone. A man with red skin and white pupils. Telling it to keep bothering him, she jumped back down into the courtyard for the third time that night.
"What are you doing here?" she asked. "State your business or be off."
"Out of my way, girl, before I kill you as well!" he replied, before throwing an energy ball. As it lit the courtyard further, she could make out more of his features, although she didn't need to to understand that he was trouble. So that's how you want to play, is it? she thought. Well, I can play rough as well! Vision quickly adjusting to the darkness, she raised her fists into an offensive position. He's unarmed; I shouldn't use Roukan unless I have to.
"Me and Amaya are the only body guards you'll ever need." Akasumi said and went through a few handsigns. 200 copies of herself appeared around the two of them, before disappearing. "The spy ring will contact you once you're crowned."
The mirror changed to an image of Amaya still attached to the statue, overlooking the castle.
"You shall be crowned tommorow."
"By the way, can you speak japanese?" she asked in the language.
Severin was wrestling his arse off in the back of the camp, shooting doubles and high-crotches like it was his job. Once in a while he'd get a few good underhooks but it was mostly a massacre with those single-legs.
Caim walked towards him and poked him, finding his finger slipping because of how damn sweaty Severin was.
"Eh?" Sev asked, stretching his arm. His metal arm was up against a tree, his stump had healed fully by now, but still looked a bit grotesque in shape.
"Meeting. Now. Let's move," Caim said, walking back to the main planning Tent of Doom. Sev sighed and followed, metal arm in hand.
The British flag flew above a burning Australia. The natives tried their best to fight back, but nothing could stop the beast the Empire Where The Sun Never Sets had brought.
The Wanderer of Mastery grabbed his old ally, the Wanderer of Tracking, by the throat and squeezed.
"You tried to leave me M'gomwe," he growled. The Aboriginal struggled for breath.
"I... I couldn't live under you... you monster. Severin was right in leaving you," he coughed out more blood than words. Mastery roared and slammed his fist into a nearby child, crushing its head into a million pieces.
"Now, I'm going to do that to each of your body parts, slowly, if you don't tell me what I want to know," Mastery chuckled to himself and leapt hundreds of feet into the air. He landed before a small regiment of captured natives, all equipped with advanced tech given by the ex-Wanderer.
"WHERE IS DOOM?" He screamed, ripping apart the straw houses about him.
Gouki saw the little girl get into a combat stance.
"What?...IS THIS...MOCKERY!?" he shouted a Youmu.
"Of course I speak Japanese. When you get enough contracts from the same place, it pays to learn the language. Also I think I might need a Japanese name so people don't suspect anything. I was thinking something with Miyamoto as the last name," Matt said to her in Japanese.
