This new fighter takes the “Budokai Tenkaichi series and raises it to whole new levels.” Also, it has been over 15 years since the last mainline entry!

We have come a long way in terms of technology since the Budokai Tenkaichi titles on Nintendo Wii. New characters have joined the Dragon Ball series since then. Super Saiyan Blue Goku, Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta, and Broly from Dragon Ball Super all make an appearance in the trailer.

The game has no release date as of yet, but gamers can wishlist it on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, and Steam. I’ve always been more of a fan of 2D fighters like Dragon Ball FighterZ, but I do find the unique 3D perspective of the Budokai Tenkaichi games intriguing. The titles always looked broken as hell and had satisfying environments to destroy while fighting combatants. I hope Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has the series’ charm and janky combos. Would it truly be Dragon Ball if it didn’t?
