Diablo1099:

"...I take it you and Old Man were friends? Yeah...It's rough this business, but we go it so others don't have too..."

"....You've never fought in a proper war have you? I mean, really, been in a war. Not one of these 'save the world from ultimate evil' farces or 'spec ops'." He grinned at the man, grabbing each shot as it was made. In all of the places he could end up in, of all the different people and places they came from, and some gobshite from Sligo was now pouring shots for him.

Ninjamedic:
"....You've never fought in a proper war have you? I mean, really, been in a war. Not one of these 'save the world from ultimate evil' farces or 'spec ops'."

David rolled his eyes at that comment.
"What do you take me for? Duh, Course I've seen combat, I did some peacekeeping on the Gaza Strip and a bit of a middle east. I've been there, don't go thinking I'm wet behind the ears, Fionn." He explained as he pulled another bottle in advance of the one he was filling from ran dry.
"Like I said, we got in and kill hundreds of people we've never met before so other more entitled bastards don't have to. That sound like your job description?" he repeated as he made another shot for himself.

Airship Rising Dawn - Crew Quarters:

Lucifer | Slindis | Teri

Teri remained silent as she processed all her teacher and Lucifer had to say... Wait, did he just? The girl's eyes looked to where he 'sat', confusion coloring her face as a "What." resounded in her mind. Lucifer did not just... No. Shaking her head and ignoring the comment for the moment, Teri continued, "And what do you mean, 'sending things your way'? I don't understand! I can't just page the Devil if things aren't going my way! Hell, just talking to you right now may be making God mad at me for all I know! Well, I haven't received any divine warnings or anything like that; but you've been making me suspicious, sir. The Devil doesn't just 'check in' on Clerics of God. I will admit, you've been nice, for the most part; but I cannot help but wonder if you have a motive or something to gain in all of this."

She rubbed her temples, this two pronged attack bearing down harder on her defenses than just a simple talk over with the Paladin, and spoke up again, "... I thought part of my job as a mediator, at least, help keeping a leash on some of the Authors and making sure they don't act batshit or do stupid stuff, and a healer was casting away my emotions. I need to think logically to come to a proper diplomatic situation. I didn't want my emotions getting in the way of what I did. Furthermore, you need to keep a clear head when hell's breaking loose for a patient."

Even if Slindis still made some headway; the student was as her teacher; stubborn as a mule.

Canteen!

Angelus and Caim gave a small sigh of relief when attentions turned towards Jenny, and the duo allowed themselves to move back to their previous positions without worrying about a stray jest. As they continued eating breakfast, Angelus spoke up, "Worry not about the details of your resurrection, Jenny. Worry about bringing yourself back to your normal state of being; recover, rest... Following that, THEN you can ponder the conundrum. Although I am typically one to fret over specifics like now; I am merely happy with this hurdle in our mission being cleared and your life being restored. In case you couldn't hear, two of your friends are happy to see you in better health..."

"Jenny! You're okay again!"
"A pleasant surprise in a sea of darkness. How are you faring right at this moment?"

Airship Rising Dawn - Crew Quarters:

Lucifer | Slindis | Teri

She kept her look straight on her eyes noting that the girl's eyes were darting somewhere else. "Teri, you're just using that as an excuse to ignore whatever's going on with you. And I know you are going through a lot of stress. The way you insist on sidestepping whatever makes you uncomfortable is childish, frustrating, and quite frankly doesn't work. You need to learn to work through these issues, because your constant repetitions of insisting you're some kind of machine isn't going to help you at all!"

Canteen!

As the celebrations continued, Tajuh entered holding the ring in his hand. That last statement from Mark was something to keep in mind, but there was a point where the useful information dried up, so he sat over by the side and grabbed a glass of warm water to drink.

Jenny
Jenny gave a gentle smile at the sound of Sword and Comet's voices.
Oh my god! I haven't heard from you two in AGES! I'm doing alright, all things considered. Thank you very much for asking She sent to her old friends, though they were currently in the form of Caim's Sword, oh how wonderful it'd be to return to Kanto again and allow them to revert back to their own forms...
"Perhaps you are right, though I can't help but wonder, I mean, if something brought you from the dead, wouldn't you want to know why?" She answered as she laid back into Akane's tail "Coat".

Rugal: Some time later
After a rather relaxing soak in the pool-like Bath tub that Dillon had installed on his Airship back when he was the captain of it and not Rugal, The man himself emerged from the En Suite decked out in the Former Captain's bathrobes and slippers.
He was hell bent on making sure where ever Dillon was, he was pissed off with his disrespect for his former belongings, even if it meant wearing pink fluffy Bathrobes and slippers.
...These are actually rather comfortable...Could I get these in a different color? He thought at he glanced over and saw the elf still sleeping alone in the king sized bed.
He smirked a little, least before he remembered the part where she drugged him.
All because the Preacher wanted to mess with him one last time...

Thus, he spent his time sitting at the desk with his AIM PDA, sorting out the "Downgrading" of Viscus after he nearly had him assassinated until Melethia woke up.

Airship Rising Dawn - Crew Quarters:

Lucifer | Slindis | Teri

Teri looked down, her eyes focusing upon the nice loafers Lucifer was wearing while a hand idly fiddled with the necklace, "I've done this since I lived in my world, even before Red Mage showed up. My guess is that there's just more stress involved than I'm used to. Anyway, this method is the only one I know. It's how I survived."

Canteen

The Skarmory was as exuberant as Jenny ever remembered him, even when he spoke, "It's nice to speak to someone who can hear us! With Master busy all the time, it gets lonely... Especially since he's good with a bunch of weapons. It's not like we're not good enough; but our form isn't always handy...."

And in contrast, Comet remained a calm ember in the dark, "As much good as it is to serve the Master, I would agree with your sentiments. Ever since gaining consciousness, I have missed the sensation of grass underneath my paws, and wind in my fur...."

Airship Rising Dawn - Crew Quarters:

Lucifer | Slindis | Teri

Slindis moved over and sat next to Teri. "And if you keep that method up, you'll always find yourself alone no matter how many people you're with. We're working through this tonight for your own good." She went into her bag and pulled out a plain circlet and put it on to ensure her room had no intruders and saw Lucifer.

"Teri, I believe it's time for me to enlist that friend of yours in here on this mission. You know exactly who I'm talking about." She pointed directly at Lucifer, showing her student that she knew where the man was hiding.

Canteen

Tajuh approached David, keeping a grip on the ring as he talked to him. "David, I'd like some whiskey. This should serve as payment." He placed the ring on the counter in front of him, more than ready to avoid an attack that was likely to come.

Rugal and Melethia

She woke up to see Rugal in the robe and slippers and rubbed her eyes. "...Wheathair, can we talk?..."

Jenny
Sadness briefly filled Jenny as Sword and Comet were keen to regain their Pokemon Forms, She could only imagine how rough it was to be trapped in such a form.
Awwww...I know you do, Comet. Well, I promise some day, we'll go back. I mean, that flight over Saffron City? In the night-sky with all the lights below?... She sent, fondly remembering a simpler time for her.
Even if she was just off her first encounter with Bruiser.

David
"Yeah, sure, Let me jus-"
David nearly dropped the glass that he was holding when he saw that ring, It was Elena's.
".....How and When?" He bluntly asked as he picked it up and examined it, It was definitely her's, albeit with a large blood stain on it that refused to come out.
"...Did Elena give this to you? Where is she?"

Rugal
"-And I'd also like a feature that allowed me to remotely acc-..." Rugal was in the middle of speaking when Melethia woke up.
"....I'm going to have to call you back." He said before cutting the line, much to the confusion of the software techs.
He then turned around and said "Sure. I take it this is about that..."Disagreement" with the Preacher back on the transport?..."
He knew full well where this was going.

David, Tajuh
He poured the drink himself then started talking. "A man called Mark gave it to me, and he informed me about a good bit, including the village affair. It seems that for now, she's grown tired of the politics of this ship and the self-destructive tendencies of those on it. Before I go into it any further, would you like to add in your bit on this?"

Rugal, Melethia
SHe was clearly disappointed in the man as she started talking. "Wheathair, why were you so mean there for a little bit of strength? You're already plenty tough, and why would ya need more? That Preacher was already dying even with all that happened, so why'd ya make the last thing he saw you being so mean? It's not like you..." She had never seen the King of Fighters as he usually was, so she had no way of knowing what was the act and what was the truth.

David, Tajuh
"....You mean....She left the crew?...." David asked as he tried to clean the blood off the golden ring, but had no luck.
"...The village...bunch of corrupted tribals attacked the kids, Riki and Kud. Had to haul ass to get them out, ended up killing everything. Everything, men, women, other kids. Like some Vietnam shit....Must have...been too much for her..." He explained as he pulled out his phone and attempted to call her.

Rugal, Melethia
"...You don't know much about me...do you?..." Rugal said as he got up and sat at the end of the bed.
"That Preacher managed to go one on one with the man that was responsible for all this, the Attack on New York, The Corrupted forest, That impostor..." He trailed off on the topic of Fake!Slindis, making the basis for his argument clear.
"The fact of the matter is, He managed to do more harm to him in a single fight that I ever could, in fact, I'd wager there was a good chance of him winning. But as we saw, that wasn't the case. Now, Once I saw that power, followed by his defeat, I knew I couldn't let it go to waste, I mean, with power like that on our side, Tomoya doesn't have a chance. Sure, I let my temper get in my way, but you had to understand my reasoning...and my anger at him not seeing the bigger picture as I did..."

Lying to children now? Good thing to see you haven't gone soft... He thought, unsure if that was sarcasm or not.

Jenny
The sword spirits gave a nod of agreement, "To be Steel-Flesh again would be nice; but at what cost? We'd leave Master defenseless in Kanto."

"That is true. However, Angelus would be with him, and he could speak properly. But imagine, what if all of the Armory was available there? How many Pokemon would burst forth from that place?"

Jenny could practically hear the Skarmory whoop with the possiblity; "We'd have lots of new friends, now wouldn't we?"

Caim could only give an exasperated sigh at the spirits of his blade, but took note of their grievances. He had heard tales of rebellious blades, and he didn't want the same to happen to him...

Lucifer | Teri | Slindis
^ hey, it's kind of how they're sitting on the bed, isn't it?

Teri's eyes widened in shock when Slindis pointed at the space containing Lucifer; and she realized the jig was up. Now, the next question at hand was whether Slindis had any idea WHO Lucifer was... For that matter, she realized that the manifestation of the Devil himself was indeed a real thing, and not just a product of her wishful imagination wanting out of that situation; which meant.... Oh god, it was really him saying all those nice things. Of course, that thought process proved to be just as confusing. Why the hell was the Devil so nice to her? If anything, shouldn't he be uber-spiteful or nasty to her; testing her faith on a mountain whilst overlooking kingdoms or some shit like that?

Ugh, this was all too much for her brain. Holding the offending organ (in this case, it's container) in her hands, she quietly muttered, "What did I do to deserve this headache..?"

Lucifer | Teri | Slindis

The way she looked at Lucifer made it clear to Teri that she'd seen Lucifer a few times before. "Look, you know there's more than one of us trying to cut through this stupidity you insist on. So will you try to insist that the way you're doing this is fine when all the evidence proves otherwise?"

David | Tajuh

He could see that David was trying to make sense of the situation and took a drink of his whiskey. "You'll probably not get a call back, but the issue here is more of the Hammer Empire seizing the opportunity to reclaim her before she touches base with us again. I won't say anything more about the village that you've not already told yourself, so you should focus on what's going to happen from here."

Rugal | Melethia

She looked at the man, seeing something a bit odd with that. "Seeing the big picture? Wheathair, that was just greed when ya know the man's dyin! The way ya talked, it was more like what I'd do if I was set loose in a place with lotsa new stuff, not just wantin to get the edge..."

David | Tajuh

The call went straight to voice-mail as Tajuh said he wouldn't get though to her.
"Dammit Elena...Here's hoping she got back to her people. While I would be doing the world a favor if I just waltz in and killed every last one of those Hammer Lackys, only so much I can do..." He sighed as he took extra large shot, wincing from it.
"Due to the nature of this conflict with Tomoya, I'm going to have to stay, all hands on deck as it were. Second the Angel is laid to rest, I'm going to find her again."

Rugal | Melethia

Knew I shoulda just blamed by upbringing instead...
"Well...As I said, my temper took over, I was still riding a lot of anger from the battle just before it. This, combined with what I told you and Tomoya escaping..." Rugal shrugged, hoping this would be enough to convince her.

Jenny
That sounds like a wonderful idea! I mean, if even half of them are like you, what could possibly go wrong? Jenny agreed, unaware she might be starting a uprising within Caim's Armoury.

Airship Rising Dawn - The Canteen:

Aftan | Akane | Angelus | Cadolbolg | Caim | Gabrielle | Jake | Jenny | Kurumu | Mark | Puce | Ton Ton

Caim had to put an end to this now. If the spirits were to continue with this train of thought; a revolt in the armory could start... And with as many weapons as Caim had amassed there, he did not like the sound of that at all...

"Alright you lot, cool yourselves... You forget that when I was in Kanto; you two were from the only weapon I had available to me. If your logic was really sound, I'd still be in Kanto hunting down every last Pokemon that applied to the Armory. Essentially, when I travel worlds, the Armory is typically locked from my use. I don't know what causes this, but it is how it is."

Lucifer | Teri | Slindis < - MUAHAAHAHAHAAAA

Teri's Mindscape - The Grey:

Before Teri could have objected to the transportation to her mind, she found that the trio of them were already there. The grey expanse filled this void yet again, the black pool serving as the only decoration in this place. Immediately, the Cleric panicked, and began looking for a way that would enable her escape from this world. Her search was for naught, as the Devil had made sure to lock them inside that mind until things were done.

Furthermore, her panic proved to affect the world about them, the grey landscape twisting and changing to suit it's mistress' mood. Where grey nothingness started, was now awash with an empty blanket of snow. An uncaring clouded sky hung overhead, and imposing blackish-brown boulders were scattered in this barren wasteland. A chilling wind began to pick up as the Cleric searched for an exit; and nipped at the exposed skin of the individuals there. The only other final touch to this place was the pool, well, pool no longer. Instead, it was a crystalline structure of black glass (or perhaps it was ice?) that reflected the light off it; and allowed one to see their own reflection.

Airship Rising Dawn - The Canteen:

David | Tajuh

Tajuh finished up his glass and shook David's hand. "Unpleasant how you had to learn it, but you'll have your chance to fix it. Try not to ruin it again, because you may not have the chance to regret it."

Airship Rising Dawn - Crew Quarters:

Devon | Ella

Devon smiled as the embarrassed succubus thanked the man. "See, that's more like it! You know, you're pretty cute when you act like that. Just relax, will you? This whole setup here's crazy, but I'd say it's worked out well so far. After all, I met you." Throwing caution to the wind, he hugged Ella from behind while avoiding hitting areas that were clearly hurt. It was clear Ella had some issues, so Devon wanted to make it clear that he'd follow through on his word.

Melethia | Rugal

She shook her head. "Wheathair, that was more greedy than angry. Why do you keep trying to say you were mad alone? I mean, you're already plenty strong even without getting someone else's powers... so why did you want someone else's? It just sounds lazy, and I think that doesn't fit you at all..." Rugal could see that the events with Preacher had taken a toll on the girl's confidence in him.

Lucifer | Teri | Slindis

Teri's Mindscape - The Grey:

When she arrived in Teri's mindscape, the main thought was that it was overwhelmingly oppressive in its bleakness. "Teri, this is why you need to open up a bit more. Before you interrupt me, we need to see exactly what you're hiding off in here." She looked in the dark ice, seeing herself as the woman she strived to be even though she fell short of it all the time - a glowing woman riding on something acting as the shield for all those around her and being the person to head to in any situation. Another shot of the woman helping someone else even when she was badly injured herself, giving food to the starving man.

Slindis kept quiet as the ice kept showing images of the person that she had always tried to be yet failed to, if that not being qualified to hold the Stone of Light had been proof.

Akane looked over at Mark, Gabrielle and Aftan as she kept her spot as a giant fluffy blanket for Jenny. "Ano... No. I don't know who Lana is. Sorry." She returned to watching the verbal attack of Kurumu, giggling at the whole episode.

Jake rolled again, a hand finding the grip of his sword. "Washington... President... General... City. N-n-no! Lana! Thunder... Fire... D-d-death... No!" he moaned, gripped by a dream or vision or something fucking scary in his sleep.

Those looking at him could see the sweat upon his brow, the look of horror upon his face, and his drained white knuckles....

Armageddon | Nessaj | Kyre

Chaos, that's what permeated the land here, and that's where Nessaj rode through, leaving a trail for burning fire as he went. A small frail body lay in his arms, tattered and broken. A girl's soul that had once been torn asudner, remolded, recreated, and deteriorating.

People look down on the Chaos Knight, they call him senile, and strange, and odd. They laughed at his sporadic ability, to be able to destroy entire worlds in a single swing, or to fall to the smallest of threats. Yet one thing they always overlooked was his age. While perhaps it left him seemingly distant and scatterbrained, it was merely a result of having to try and remember so many aeons of battles with Ezalor through countless planes of existence. But his infinite wisdom had imbued him with a few things. One of those things was the inexplicable urge to rescue the young Anti-Mage from the temple, who had suddenly fell unconscious.

Nessaj tore open a portal on the med bay of the Rising Dawn and placed the young girl on a cot before dismounting and leaving. The sudden serious air about him began to dissolve into the atmosphere, and his unfocused, detached nature returned to the rattling armor.

Kyre lay breathing in the med bay with Armageddon watching closely over her. Her breaths were shallow, and her skin pale.

BlackHarte

BlackHarte paced through the Canteen, grumbling under his breath about the young Anti-Mage's condition. To think that the young master was actually suffering from anemia! What a ridiculous situation. The ship's systems were running well enough, he had enough energy reserves to regenerate a good few organs.

He had to feed Kyre again, and that was something he was not looking forward to.

Airship Rising Dawn - The Canteen:

Aftan | Akane | Angelus | Cadolbolg | Caim | Gabrielle | Jake | Jenny | Kurumu | Mark | Puce | Ton Ton

If Angelus was in a good mood a moment ago, then Kurumu's words to Cadolbolg hit the air. Oh no, Kurumu forgot something very important, as fun as it was to tease Cadolbolg, his parents were forces to be reckoned with. Caim, being absorbed in the conversation with Jenny and the Sword Spirits, wasn't able to hear what was said, but when the dragon's glare turned to Kurumu; Caim knew instantly that something terrible must have been said. Every inch of her oozed fury and maternal instinct, and Caim felt overwhelmed by it's crushing waves on his mind. To any other man, they would have been terrified, but for Caim... Well, let's just say that were it not for the moment at hand, he would have found this view of her incredibly attractive.

But back to the aforementioned raging dragon in human form... Angelus kept her gaze upon the succubus; red eyes threatening to bore a hole into purple ones when Kurumu stared right back. However, there was something a little extra behind that stare; almost as if some of Caim's bloodlust had meddled in the dragon herself.

But, when she spoke, her voice remained very calm, and her tone did not waver, "Disregard the words of the petty Succubus, Cadolbolg, for she only follows the way of the narrow-minded. A shame, really, for a being supposedly devoted to love. You see, she has fallen in with following a restrictive ideal for 'love', which demands that females tie themselves to their mates via an unnecessary ritual that has far too much monetary cost for the weak proclamation of devotion it supposedly stands for. In actuality, it is an affirmation against insecurity; for those who cling and force this 'ritual of devotion' upon those around them, they are in fact the ones who think they or their lovers faith is the weakest. To those who do not follow this norm, they and their children are mocked with terms such as 'bastard' to make them convert to their rituals.

The child-like Succubus doesn't realize that she has single-handedly insulted several persons in this group; myself and Caim included, by trying to force a norm upon us that does not truly matter. We are happy in the way we express our affections, and yet the succubus, of all creatures, is the one to tell us that we are wrong in the ways of love and loving. Because, and this is the saddest matter of all, if one feels love or affection for their mates, then rituals to proclaim this to the world or themselves are entirely unnecessary. They need only to look at their mate, and see it upon their face. Even words do not matter when the feelings are true enough.

So, my dear son, do not feel bad for yourself. Rather, pity the succubus here who needs the idea of a ritual to feel secure in herself."

No pause was given after that statement, as the dragon broke a bone in half with her teeth, and was easily chewing and swallowing the bits down.

Teri's Mindscape - The Grey:

Lucifer | Slindis | Teri < - Oh you rat bastard... Imma ALPHABETIZE, BITCH!

"Teri? What do you see?"

Teri struggled weakly against the Morning Star's grasp when they approached the mirror, "No, keep that thing away from me! You won't like what's there! PLEASE! You'll let it escape!"

But Lucifer did not waver, and she found herself face to face with the mirror... At least, it was until she got to it. All the Cleric could see was an abyss in the gem; an all consuming darkness that threatened to eat everything in it's sight. All was quiet for a moment, and then the crystal began to move... Well, it didn't stay a crystal for long anyways. Growing and shifting, the inky black of the crystal began to concentrate towards and edge of one the points in the monolith, and began to literally seep out like the writing material it resembled. This process continued for another moment, and when it finished, the now blue-white crystal fell into it's original form as a clear pool. However, as opposed to the lifeless liquid it was before, this pool actually looked like pure, drinkable water.

Listen to this

But the darkness remained... The sludge shuddered, and then convalesced into a form, raising itself upwards into a humanlike shape, and ended with a perfect replica of the Cleric before them.... Sort of. Her face was the same, save for the Glasgow Smile cut deep into her cheeks, blood crystalized into little rubies around the wounds. Her eyes were the same color as her creator's, but remained wide in an eternal look of.. Joy? Shock? It was hard to tell, the rest of her face was so distracting from them. Holding a scapel in one hand, and a pencil in the other, the Disturbed!Teri looked to her creator, and gave a hysterical, "Hello there, Me!"

When she (it?) spoke, air could be heard hissing through the wounds; an unnerving sound for the stoutest of hearts.

Before Teri could object to it, it continued, "Well, it sure looks like we screwed up again, doesn't it? Trying so hard to remain cool and collected, even when under pressure or you know, big scary dudes threatening to kill us for the umpteenth time, or actually killing Angels! Boy, wasn't that a hoot? I mean, you always wondered what it was like, didn't you? No, the Fake Rugal didn't count, because you eventually learned that was a fake. Well, compared to how he acts now, it's not so fake anymore, now is it?"

Teri shook her head in horror, "No! It was a fake!"

The bloody mockery laughed, the hissing noise even more maddening in this light, "Only cause the suit color was off. But we're getting off subject, aren't we, Me? As I was saying, 'the first kill is always satisfying', right? How powerful did you feel when the Angels fell to your spells and your Elemental? Wasn't it great finally having the power you've always craved? I mean, these were highly trained operatives; and here you were, fighting side by side with the best of em, healing wounds, slaughtering the Angels! It was great, right? Hey, even if he's a dick, your precious Bernstein even saved your ass when you were being shot at! Ripped a guy in half for you! Ain't that sweet, he might actually give a damn about your life... Unless he saw you as utility, like everyone else does. You are their best trained healer; baring Ms. Stabby over there. Hmn, Dunno if Paladins really count, they're more like warriors with healing skills..."

Balling her fists as the fake talked, Teri yelled at it as it pondered the authenticity of Paladins as healers, "Shut up! That's not true at all! I hated having to kill those men! I hated it when Rugal tore them in half! It made me feel sick when I heard those bones break! I HATE FIGHTING!"

The False!Teri looked at the Cleric again, and shrugged, "Don't get snappy with me, Me. I only speak the truth around here. You're the one with the issues. I mean, why deny the fact that you felt a sense of belonging on the battlefield with your 'friends'? You like being able to help out where you've always wanted to be. You're happy being an efficient tool; just like a good portion of the human race. Hell, that's why you joined this Role Playing forum as Caim and Angelus. It was one giant power fantasy for a girl who had no better outlet at the time. That's probably why you get along with those other Writers so well, because you all understand what it's like to be helpless. Trapped in your little Southern hick town full of conservative thought when you were so progressive... That must have been hell. So, into the internet you dived, and found a place where you belonged; with the other freaks and geeks of the world. And together, you all found happiness in a computer screen!... Oh, if only that were so easy. Even with all of these 'friends' and allies, you can't help but feel alone because you have all these stinky feelings you don't want to deal with; and no human who wants to deal with you? Am I right?"

The real Teri was shaking at this point, unable to move from that spot she stood. Here she was, in her own mind, and she couldn't find sanctuary from her greatest insecurities being laid bare before two respectable (well, Lucifer was a variable) people she had some form of respect for, and there was nothing she could do to stop this being from showing everything else...

The fake gave another wheezing laugh, and limply gestured the scalpel at Teri, "See what I mean? You can't lie to them anymore. I've already hit too many nails on the head, and I've still a pocket full of em to go! Hmn, what should I tell them about next, hmn? How you're so desperate to save the souls of all the people on this ship? How your attachment to a terrible person started with a hollow promise for your life? Or, better yet, how about we talk about Bruiser? Everyone loves that one! You know, how you greenlighted EVERYTHING he did to Angelus? How you told Darren to keep him alive so you two could use his torture methods again and again and again... It's YOUR fault he still exists, remember? Darren wanted to get rid of him several times, but 'oh no, you'd cry, he still has potential! Let's keep him!' And look at you now? Unable to talk because he ALMOST took your nails out of you and left you in the cold. Kind of like now, eh? Funny, you were so close to your dorm when that happened... I wonder how many other girls were dragged off to that hellhole?"

The Cleric had sunk to her knees at this point, her eyes getting dull with the sheer agony of all of this being shoved in her face completely. The false Teri wandered to her creator and embraced her, "But, of course, the best thing about all of this is how you've tried so hard to keep up this facade of being happy. God you have every reason not to be, and yet you beat yourself up over frowning just a little. Isn't that right, Mr. Lucifer? Didn't you say that we had to be a shining light for us Authors? Keep a moral high ground and make sure we didn't blow up the world again?"

She laughed, pulling the Real closer to her being, "But it's okay. I'll make sure you don't have to deal with any of these nasty things ever again, Me. Come here, I'll show you how to feel nothing at all...."

The black sludge from before enveloped the Cleric into the fake's body, and the demented creature gave another dark laugh as Teri fell into it, the winds picking up snow, ice and water around it as it began to grow in size; the flesh and blood becoming ice, deep hazel eyes staring from a now towering body of ice.

Battle time!

The false had become an enormous dragon of pure ice, but as was it's nature, it was a mockery of the noble creature. Jagged, cruel teeth; a translucent body that showed the Cleric curled up in it's chest; sharp claws; powerful wings; and a body covered in equally deadly looking crystals, the beast roared, and cried out, "And now for the pest control! You two are far too warm for this realm of ice! Perhaps I can freeze you and make you sculptures in a garden! Or maybe I'll let your warm blood trickle down my throat! I AM THE TRUE TERI GRAVEL! YOU HAVE NO POWER OVER ME IN MY REALM! NOW PERISH IN MY TUNDRA!"

Airship Rising Dawn - Crew Quarters:

Devon | Ella

He stood up, a bit confused at the reaction. "Playing you? Ella, I'm sorry if I got too close too soon. I didn't mean to startle you. I mean, I know I'm not the best at showing feelings, so if there's something that I can do to make myself better for the both of us, just tell me." He didn't want to push her away with coming on too strong, but there was a connection that the man felt with Ella. Somehow, he had the feeling that he would be losing something if she just walked off.

The bard walked over to Ella and put a hand on her shoulder. "Just tell me, Ella. I know that I've not the best man, or anywhere close to claiming it. If I could get some help from you, though, I could at least be good enough to be there for a woman that's unscarred by the environment that she was raised in. Am I worth that chance?"

Yup, he'd fallen for Ella, and she's not even used any of her abilities. From the way he kept her focus directly on her sky blue eyes with his rich blue ones, her appearance wasn't a concern to him.

Teri's Mindscape - The Grey:

Slindis | Lucifer | Teri<---The rebellion goes on.

When the Shadow Teri consumed Teri, Slindis chanted some spells to mitigate the icy winds and drew her rapiers from her pouch, having learned from some experience from a nasty dream cult in Stormreach that she would keep her equipment. "You felt all this, Teri? Why didn't you tell me sooner? Lucifer, we'll have to cut straight through these issues!"

She leapt to the side of a nasty breath of ice as she looked for an opening. "Teri, I've always tried to help you! I know I wasn't the best teacher, but I want you to know that I never thought of you as a weak person at all. So why would you insist on keeping this all bottled up?" A few jabs at the legs had the fire burn the leg a little before immediately sealing back up.

This wasn't going to be an easy fight.

Airship Rising Dawn - The Canteen:

Aftan | Akane | Angelus | Cadolbolg | Caim | Gabrielle | Jake | Jenny | Kurumu | Mark | Puce | Ton Ton
Jake's dream was rudely interrupted by a shake and shouting, he reacted exactly as Mark had expected him too, rolling into the attacker and opening with a punch before his eyes opened. However, his fist met Mark's shield and the Dramatist crouching down only served to send Jake rolling straight over the top of him. A thud, and Jake groaned in pain as he jumped to his feet and drew his sword. He held it in a cross defensive position and blinked a few times... Seeing himself in the middle of the Canteen floor and Mark and the Knights in front of him.

"At least youse are learnin'... FUCK! I HAVE TA GET TO THE BRIDGE!" Jake shouted.

He sheathed his sword and sprinted out of the Canteen, blessing the single main corridor of the ship leading up to the bridge.

"What the hell was that? Somebody should go check on him..." Akane said worried.

Bursting onto the Bridge, Jake stopped in front of the helm.

"OI AI'S GET THA FUCK OUT HERE OR I'M FLYING US MESELF! Set us a course to Washington DC in the USA! Engines to all ahead full! Tomoya's next attack will fall there!" He said in a panic, very shaken from the visions in his dreams...

He nodded and returned her smile as he hugged Ella lightly, almost as if he was afraid that he would break her. "Take your time, Ella. And when you're ready to put that trust in me, I will do everything I can to show you that I'm worthy of it." If the succubus wanted to leave, she would find it fairly simple to get out of the embrace.

Airship Rising Dawn - The Bridge:

A.I. Vermilion | Jake
Jake stopped his rant as an AI appeared. She outline the situation and he woke up a bit more. He talked to her calmly after he caught his breath.

"Acknowledged Vermillion, thanks for the run down. Alert the US military and have them start evacuating Washington. Don't jump us, Tomoya will probably open with a barrage... Fuck I hate having visions... If you have any highpower sensors that can break atmo, look at Jupiter and you'll probably see Tomoya's Angel Fleet heading our way. If not, hack the Hubble Telescope or something. Once we have proof, alert Captain Rugal and XO Tajuh. Also, if Dmitri is floating around here with you, can you get him to leave Teri a message? Message begins: Keep the room. I'll find another. Sweet Dreams mate. Message ends. Uhh... What else am I forgetting? Oh yeah, dunno if you got it but I sent a message earlier about getting a new room, that'd be awesome so I can get some sleep without a bunch of morons waking me and making me have to act rational and shit. Thank you."

Teri's Mindscape - Tundra Battlefield:

Slindis | Teri | Lucifer <---Best Crack OT3, do not steal!

Might as well reference the source material!

The Ice dragon spewed another wave of ice from it's mouth before it began to speak again, it's mocking tone filling the air, "Help 'Me'? Oh, don't lie to yourself, Slindis. We all know you're just as much as a repressor as 'I' am! You were always locked up in your own head, just like we are now! Besides, well, little one? Care to explain how you feel about this?"

The Cleric moved in the ice, drawing her legs closer to her Torso; as if trying to move to hide, or to defend herself against some enemy.

The Beast gave a dark laugh as it swept a paw at the duo, the claws and spikes that lined the top of the paws leaving deep grooves in the frozen earth, "See? She's scared of you now. You've seen all that she doesn't want you to know! Isn't that right, Me? How did we feel about telling anyone anything? It's so weak letting people know your not at your prime! As for your, Lord Devil, you will have to pry her from my warm, dead claws! That is, if your black heart doesn't taint her with a touch."

Lucifer charged in after this, fully poised to place a strike in the chest, when the beast raised a hand to block the assault. Lucifer found that his sword struck true, and was now embedded in the beast's paw. A scream bellowed from the creature, but it was not the voice the two had expected. No, instead of the beast's altered tones, it was the pure sound of the Cleric's anguish. From what could be seen, the real Teri was gripping the hand the dragon just sustained a wound in. The dragon shook again with laughter, "I am her, and she is me! Cut one down and the other suffers! Just like a pact, eh, Little one? Tell them, why should they just stop now? Don't you want their comfort?"

The Cleric's voice shot from the beast's mouth as well, but had a sort of strange echo to it's quality, as if it was coming from a far away place.

"No... I never wanted to burden anyone with these feelings! Why did you have to come here? We could have been happier without going this far! Oh God, this hurts so much! Make it stop!"

"As you wish..."

"No! That's not what I - !"

If the girl had anything else to say, it was silenced by a roar from the dragon, and the beast lifted the paw with the blade inside, and moved to bite at the blade's wielder.

Airship Rising Dawn - The Canteen:

Aftan | Akane | Angelus | Cadolbolg | Caim | Gabrielle | Jake | Jenny | Kurumu | Mark | Puce | Ton Ton

Upon seeing her son make amends with the Succubus, Angelus' fury slowly faded away, and was replaced with a calm sort of feeling. "If Cadolbolg is fine now, then I shall be as well... Perhaps I was a little hasty as well, but where my son is concerned, I am afraid caution goes to the wind should anything try to hurt him, be it words or swords."

Taking another sip of her drink, she contented herself to watch the proceedings of the crew once again, and decided not to comment on anything till her rage was entirely dispelled.

Airship Rising Dawn - Networks:

A.I. Vermilion | Dimitri

There was the faintest of pauses as Dimitri sent the message to the Tablet, and then frowned a little, "Forgive me for sounding rude, Ms. Vermilion, but in the future, could we leave matters regarding my Mistress to me? I am aware that she is currently in conference with the Paladin Slindis, under the notion that their conversation would remain private. Now, I do not doubt your intentions, but I fear that without fair warning, Mr. Jake may very well intruded upon what Ms. Slindis and Ms. Teri want to keep private. You and I both know Her Ladyship has been very secretive about her thoughts. This may be her only chance to let them out freely; thus the heightened stress..."

With a soft sigh, he sipped some more of the tea, and continued, "Unpleasantries aside, it is nice to have a quiet moment... Thank you for the tea, by the way. This seat is rather comfortable, I'll have to have one installed in my mobile apparatus!"

Dark Tomoya.
Location: Blackhawke | Lightning Archangel Fleet.
Universe: Stormverse

Port Hub.

Jake's message was too late.

As the assault on Asia began, the dark leader of the Angels was waiting to be teleported to Washington DC, where he would take out most or all of the world leaders. Whilst he was doing that a part of his army (The other is around the moon) was about to blaze the planet and salting the Earth. As the electricity sparked to life the scientists gave a thumbs up to the Dark Angel, and as the electricity engulfed him and tore his particles apart he gave a peace sign.

Some smaller parts of the Angel fleet had also begun destroying any stations, satellites and Fox News.

Washington DC (4 am).

The electricity particles bolted towards the city and eventually rebuilt the Dark Archangel's figure on top of a unfinished building. Dark Tomoya looked different from before, he wore dark angelic metal armor was sharp claws, his hair was longer and in a different fashion and his wings were made out of full black angel feathers instead of his usual black lightning wings.

"It's time for war... " He gave a sadistic smirk as he looked at the sleepy city. Clearly in front of him was the National Mall which held everything important. The Washington monument was an obvious icon, though it stood out more since a giant group of cultists were surrounding it chanting, hailing and doing other weird cult stuff.
Except he could hear strange words which could relate to him. "You better be fucking kidding me... " He sighed as he gazed off to his goal in the distance which was the United States Capitol which was going to hold the meeting for world leaders in the evening.

Riki
& Kud.
Location: Rising Dawn | Room 178.
Weather: Clouds.
Time: 3am.

The young couple trained for a good thirty minutes before they became fully tired. The two wanted to become more useful to the team so they would not be a burden and can be relied upon for tasks. Their progress was slow and their previous baseball experience did help them in their specialist areas. Riki had experience with batting most of his time when he was apart of the Little Buster baseball team. Whilst little Kud on the other hand had more experience on the catching side since she played Frisbee a whole lot.

Kud:
+8 Agility.
+1 Body Strength.
+6 Arm Strength.

Riki:
+15 Concentration.
+5 Judgement.
+8 Arm Strength

(Stat Note: The stat are out of 1000. So not much of an improvement.)

The two fell into their room, Riki immediately checked on the stone and weapons and saw that they were still in their place. Sighing the couple began to relax and began to cook an early dinner due to the jungle adventure. "Riki, do you want me to cook some scrambled eggs?" Kud said to Riki who was on the couch groaning and holding his wrist from the gun recoil. "Uh-huh" He said back to her and soon headed straight to the shower to cool off.

General Pint.
Location: Washington mobile base.
Time: 4 Am.

As the military had received the message from the Rising Dawn the General was not pleased with this news. "Sir what should we do?" One of the officers had asked him. The General in charge was Charles Foster Pint and he was only known for his bold leadership, his hate of the Rising Dawn crew and his small height. "I'll tell you what to do... do NOTHING! He said to his team of Officers.

One officer wore a smirk and had a strange warm feeling about him which made him unique. "But sir... they could ruin this whole thing, we can't just let them run in and ruin the meeting... or even hurt one of the leaders." The strange officer said out loud. "Good idea Jenkins... I know what. Do nothing to the public, but form multiple AA towers around the city and fire upon that damn ship and say it's an angel carrier." He ordered his squad.

Soon the cities army was alerted about the Rising Dawn more then the Angel's and their dark leader which had already entered the city unnoticed.

"Khlak ma mglu Grogmalek phwi khosam." Chanted the cultists as they saw their beloved prophet of darkness. "Kmes mo' fo'ght kol phn'gwo!"

From across the eternal void Groglamek calls to us. The prophet has come!

Markus and his crew could hear the voices booming across DC. Things were about to get ugly.

David | Tajuh | Fionn

"...Yeah, don't remind me..." David said as he finished his drink, already making another.
Things got extremely messed up the last time Hammmer got Elena, He was silently praying they didn't find her again.
With a worried expression on his face, he kept giving Fionn a steady stream of Booze.
Then Jake sent word of Tomoya's next target
"....Great....Just great..." he said before he went to call Richardson, hoping UNIT could help.

Melethia | Rugal

...Why do I even bother?... Rugal asked himself, it was clear that Melethia was able to call his bluff time and time again.
"...You really want to know why?...Because I need to."
"Need to?"
"You've haven't been on this realm long, have you? Well, Tomoya's Attack? It wasn't the first, always someone trying to do something to take over the world." myself included
"Back when I first met Tomoya, he gave me a better understanding of the world: No matter how powerful you are, there is always someone or something even more so. I mean, he was barely 20 years old and yet he was more powerful then all my training would ever be. Half my age, twice my power. If he wanted to, he could easily kill me, so I had to take steps to prevent that. Then I realized it wasn't only him, it was everyone and everything. And the second I stop? That's it, I'm finished..."
Before he could finish, a ping came up on Rugal's PDA news of Tomoya's latest attack reached them.
"Dammit! I thought we'd have more time!" He cursed as he grabbed his suit and got chanced in the En Suite.

Airship Rising Dawn - The Canteen:

David | Tajuh

He took a look at a small high-tech phone and looked at the recent updates, including one message in purple text.

Preparations here close to complete, expect heavy resistance from subverted forces at next location.

Seeing that, he stopped drinking and went to the Bridge. The rest of the crew was celebrating, but the preparations for the attack had to be made.

Airship Rising Dawn - Crew Quarters:

Devon | Ella

Devon opened the door and looked at Ella. "I do, don't I? What are you in the mood for? I was thinking we could head to the Canteen and get a bite to eat, if that would be good with you." The day had seemed to take forever, but things were finally starting to look good for the two.

Melethia | Rugal

Melethia looked at the man and laughed, "So what if you're not the strongest? You're always gonna find something like that. The fun bit is finding a way to take that guy down with your brains and your skill, because lotsa times, someone with that kinda ability gets lazy." Despite it all, it seemed that the girl deeply trusted the man even if some of his actions showed her that he wasn't the best man.

Lucifer | Teri | Slindis

Teri's Mindscape - The Grey:

Slindis looked down at the ground for a moment as she sidestepped an attack from the dragon. "I know I'm not the best person. I'm not even a decent person. But you know what? in the end, Teri, you're my best student and a close friend, and even if you despise me for it, I'm going to make sure that you don't follow my path. You're too good and kind-hearted to have to live with that kind of pain." Ignoring the risk to herself, she rolled under the dragon to get a clear shot at the area Teri was and stabbed to the left of the frightened girl.

Rugal
As Melethia talked, Rugal quickly changed into a spare suit and stepped out of the En Suite.
"I can assure you, my abilities are far from lazy. Once I was old enough, I spent the rest of my life building my power and my body. That...takes more then just dumb brute strength. Perhaps when this is over I might show you a few useful techniques for when Brawn is needed more then Brains." He said as he picked up his PDA and began to check for Tomoya's Movements as Jake had dictated.
"Damn politicians...Lie and cheat to get into office and when they actually have to do something, they make sure to do it only the most convoluted way possible!" He exclaimed as he read about a Meeting in DC with every world leader discussing how to defeat Tomoya.
"All rally up in one place for him to pick them off, what could possibly do wrong!?" He said as he saw the ship was now en route.
"ETA...."pine=apple?"...Tsh, no wonder it takes forever to get anywhere in this damn airship...Best get some sleep, you had a long day..."

Lucifer | Teri | Slindis

Teri's Mindscape - Tundra of DOOM:

Teri's screams tore through the air as Slindis tried to carve an arc into the ice, water (?) trickling down on the wounds she was slowly inflicting a gash into the dragon's chest. The dragon, it's own shrieks of pain joining the Cleric's, took note of it's new (godawfully painful) wound, and decided to disregard biting down on Lucifer, finally shaking the blade from it's hand (and the wielder with it). Spreading it's wings, the beast forced itself into the air; shaking as it made it's ascent. From what the two fighters could see, Teri was clutching her chest and writhing in her cage of ice and water; cries of pain still shaking and resounding around in the dragon's body. It took a moment, but it was able to stabilize itself in the air after a few breaths, and shrieked at the two below, *gasp gasp* "You two sure have some nerve! I tell you specifically that your actions will pain her, and what do you do?! YOU FUCKING CUT INTO OUR CHEST! What is wrong with you people?! See, little one, this is why you can't trust anyone; give em a chance, and they'll rip your heart out like it's no-one's business!"

Taking a deep breath, the dragon shot down a stream of frost and icy shards at the two.

Despite the beast being airborne, the two had indeed found a weakness in the beast; the chamber with Teri inside.

Airship Rising Dawn - Crew Quarters:

Melethia | Rugal

She yawned, still waking up. "Wheathair, you're kinda heavy, ya know that? It wasn't easy getting you in here by myself, really. But what's a little bit of work to give ya a comfy place to sleep? I mean, ya did the same for me, so I might as well return the favor." The statement seemed a bit hard to believe, but she'd never lied to Rugal before. Why would she start lying now?

Lucifer | Teri | Slindis

Teri's Mindscape - The Grey:

She drew her bow from her pouch and braved the frigid as she fired arrows at the chamber encasing Teri. "Teri, I know letting people in isn't easy, but We're here for you... It's not going to be easy, but nothing that's ever been worth doing is! Isn't that why you came here?"

Rugal
Rugal Smirked as Melethia confirmed his theory on how he got to his room.
"Thank you for that, though you didn't have to tire yourself out on my part." He said as he put his PDA in his jacket inside pocket.
Then that's when he got an idea, she was able to bring him up here despite him being dead weight and being over 140 kilograms.
"...Question: You seem stronger then you look, just how strong would you say you are?" He asked, examining her as he thought back to a air base in 1991....

Rugal | Melethia
She shrugged. "It's no problem, Wheathair. Anyway, I'm not way too strong. I mean, you were a bit heavy, but anyone coulda lifted you up!" When Melethia took off her belt holding her pouches to stretch, she pointed to the belt with the five pouches. "Even that belt isn't way too heavy. Go ahead and check for yourself." When he lifted the belt with the five bags, it was a good bit heavier than it looked. If he had to guess, it was about 20 kilograms!

The girl clearly didn't see it as too much of an issue, though. "See, I'm not that strong."

Rugal | Melethia

Rugal eyes wided a little at the weight of it as he picked it up and handed it back to her.
He then grinned, knowing full well she'd be able to go ahead with this idea.
"...Tell me, do the words "Sonic Boom" mean anything to you?" He asked as he got the mental image of Melethia doing doing the move.

Rugal | Melethia

She shrugged. "I've heard of sonic traps that rupture the eardrums and destroy someone's balance, but not a Sonic Boom in itself. Why?"

Rugal | Melethia

Rugal chuckled as he sat on the end of the bed.
"What if I told you that you can summon a blast of racing wind from your hands at any given moment?" He teased as he made his sales pitch.
"I can see that despite your age, you have some real potential as a Fighter like yours truly. How would you like for me to teach you how to preform the Sonic Boom?" He offered, the first time he's bothered to teach a student anything.
Hell, this was the first time he teached period.
