Yo IDK, I have a couple of questions I just thought of, what are formatting rules for this RP going to be? e.g. minimum length of posts, NPC and thought speech etc...
Thought speech is supposed to be italicized, actions can be written in first person with asterisks: *eats cat*, this will make it easier for me to understand how you solve the puzzles, and speech should have quotation marks.

I had in mind sort of an old crotchety uncle or great-uncle. If you do want to have a mother figure in the family, then I'm content to sit on the waiting list as a non-family member.

Ok, I do like my idea for the uncle, so I think I'll stick with that.
As to his personality, he sometimes seems to live too much in the past. He prefers the "old ways" of doing things, and will act a bit miffed when people mention using "new-fangled" equipment like hoes or plows in their farming.
Despite his sometimes cantankerous attitude, he is truly kindhearted, and is a well-liked village fixture, particularly among the children. The older folks (young adults, middle-aged and such) will just shake their heads and smile at his tirades.
Another side affect of his living in the past is that he sometimes gets it in his head that he's younger and more able than he really is, often resulting in his injuring or nearly injuring himself doing something that, at his age, is rather stupid.

Yeah, probably for the best that Gypsy doesn't join, I hate to think of what the quality of his posts would be like when he doesn't even use capital letters for his character's name on his sheet which you're judging him by.

Should only need 1 more to make 5, IDK was thinking on making a up a sheet but since he's the GM his character wouldn't be able to help ours with the puzzles so I think he scrapped the idea... suppose we might be able to start with only 4 if he'll allow it.
