As you walk off to explore a bit, you start to ponder that conversation you just had. This DAEDALUS guys seems nice enough, but you can't help but feel something is OFF. Your intense knowledge of VIDEO GAME AND ANIME TROPES gets to work as you analyze the situation. First of all, he doesn't know how he got where he is. That probably makes him a GAME CONSTRUCT. Second, he's an OLD MAN. That means he can only be one of two things: a KIND, OLD MASTER who will teach you some amazing techniques, or a VILLAIN. And he seems obsessed with creating his own world. As much as you hate to jump to conclusions, VILLAIN seems the obvious choice. And yet, he was so affable the whole time. You couldn't help but feel like you could trust him. You decide to consult YOURSELF on the matter when you get back to your time. Unfortunately, PESTERCHUM does not allow you to cross timelines in your incessant botherings of others. In the meantime you think you'll go and find those old RUINS you found that IGUANA ELDER in. Maybe they're useful in some way. Future Dirk: React Oh look, a GICLOPS. An enormous spiral staircase weaves its way upwards, lit by an array of floating, glowing orbs. Although you cannot see the top of the staircase, it seems likely that it'll reach the top of the tower. In the center of the chamber lie several statues, all of various creatures, IGUANAS, GECKOS, CROCODILES, SALAMANDERS, TURTLES, and PARROTS. They are evenly spaced, set in a circle around what seems to be a stone LILYPAD, inscribed with a highly stylized sun. Eventually, you reach the end of the staircase, running into the tower ceiling, with a large trapdoor blocking your way forward. Pushing it open, you emerge onto the tower roof. Although it's quite windy up there, you find yourself mostly protected by a tall wall, with occasional gaps in the stone allowing you to see through to the ground far below. You see four figures crouched on the ground, hammering away with hammers and chisels. They seem to be a bit shorter than you; two have white skin and are clothed in yellow robes, and the others and black, wearing robes of purple. They do not notice you as they work. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >Future Dirk: ...Ewww. You engage your Kill Mode (Which is incredibly terrifying, by the way), and attack the GICLOPS, presumably with your KATANA. You deal some massive damage to the beast, easily knocking it to the ground; a few more slashes and the creature is no more. Chas levels up! Level 32 Monster Thrasher. +25 Boonbucks.
