"Don't worry. It's only the first round."
Adrien lets out a sigh of disappointment.
"I expected you to put up a better fight. You're style is unconventional, but your movements are too predictable. Worst of all you lack discipline. Come, I will show you a few pointers."
Adrien takes Dante to the edge of the arena.
"Drop your weapons. We will practice hand to hand first."
"You okay mate?"
So it appears so, I will gladly take a few pointers, fighting against such opponents.
Before we start, who do you think you'll be going up against?"
"The samurai. In my travels I have heard tales of warriors from the East, wielding swords strong enough to cut three men in a single blow. It would be an exciting challenge."
Adrien stands with his arms at his sides.
"Hit me. Anywhere you like."
Dante hits Adrian.
OOC: At first, that's who I thought I was trying to fight. It was only half way I realized 'Oh s*it, I'm fighting the huge guy with LOTS of armor'
Dante aims at the shoulder
Dante's fist smacks squarely into Adrien's shoulder. It barely phases him.
"Come on, you have to hit harder than that. Put some passion into it!"
"Mate, you got a fight with one of those guys up there later. I really don't want to give them any advantage by doing something we'll regret later."
However, Dante again attempts to punch Adrien in the shoulder, this time with all the energy he can muster.
"Don't worry. Hit me."
Dante's punch hits against the shoulder, knocking Adrien off balance and causing him to step back.
"Good. You have a fast, strong punch. Now kick me. Hard."
Dante kicks at Adrien's legs
Dante's shin hits firmly against the side of Adrien's thigh.
"Yes, good. You want to aim for the legs."
Adrien loosens up.
"Now take a defensive stance. I will show you a chousan kick."
Dante prepares himself for Adrien's kick
Adrien lifts his right knee. In the span of a second, he plants the heel of his steel-plated boot firmly above Dante's right kneecap, then jabs lightly into his lower rib-cage. He swings his hips and taps his heel against Dante's right cheek.
"Nice moves, mate. When do you think this fight is going to happen? I want to see how this French guy is."
Adrien brings his foot back down.
"Tradx volunteered to go next. I will go after him. Now, let me show you what I have done."
Adrien raises his knee.
"Begin raising the knee, and with your hips move your leg sideways with the heel inward. You fall and push the heel of your boot above the kneecap. Like a piston. You push hard and force him away. Then pull back as soon as you kick."
Adrien demonstrates by planting the heel of his boot above the knee and pushing forward. It doesn't take much effort for him to push Dante. He takes several steps back.
"That was soft. If I wanted to break your knee, it would be easy. On men closer to our size, it would be wise to attack the waist. On the giant, you want to strike the knee and bring him down."
"Remember, you're trying to push them away. If someone throws a punch, you use this to keep them out of striking range. This is called the chasse. It will buy you time."
Adrien repeats the maneuver and follows up with a sharp jab to the rib-cage.
"With any kick, you want your leg to move like a whip. You stretch the knee and crack the toe of the boot up into your target. Then you can follow up with another kick. It's all about maintaining balance in the hips."
"Now try it on me."
Dante does the motion taught to him on Adrien, trying to keep his balance.
While the robots repaired, Tradx walked back and began messing with his guns. They had a few settings and he was just checking to make sure the bullets were all in order. "Good good..." "I wont disappoint our host, I plan on making it rain a bit."
The chasse works, pushing Adrien back a step. Dante follows up with a kick, but Adrien catches his foot and wraps his arm around it.
"You missed. Remember, with the toe of the boot. Not with the shin. You want accuracy."
They repeat the maneuver several times until Dante is comfortable with the kick.
"Good. Let's take a break. We'll spar after Tradx mops the floor with these guys."
Uvogin sneers at the arrogant man.
"I think you've got it wrong. This guy isn't my master. Just my employer."
Karutomaru is still touching his pad.
"You'll get your chance. Go away. We're about to have an execution break."
A man in futuristic-looking handcuffs being pulled by a thick collar around his neck is tugged along to the center of the stage. The worker crew is still repairing the ground.
Karutomaru chuckles and brings his microphone back up to his face.
"While the stage is being set for our next fight, I give you all a little intermission entertainment! Now, we shall witness this monster's execution! Done by none other than this match's winner, Hideyoshi Toyotomi!"
About half the crowd goes wild, but Hideyoshi seems concerned.
"I do not mind being executioner, but only if his crime is fitting of the punishment."
"Well this is idiotic, I thought we were here for fighting, not just watching overgrown men beat the living hell out of mind controlled dunces. I might just take a damned nap now."
"He was weak enough to get captured"
The man walked forward and addressed to Hideyoshi.
"This arena is natural selection in it's purest form, and I, Amadeus Nex, Scourge of Rley, The Lord of Oblivion, and the End of All That Bleed, will ensure that I am the only vestige of this place.
"And I thought I was cheesy." "So the purple thing finally speaks! If only the other guy would show up, something tells me this will go to the fifth round."
"And I thought I was cheesy." "So the purple thing finally speaks!
Nex turned to face Tradx.
"Do you know who you are talking to, you insignificant creature?"
Tradx turned bak to Nex and sighed
"Apparently someone with a god-complex."
"Come and test yourself worm, you will find me no less"
"I would kill you, but since we are on a team, ill let the other guys do it for me."
"Pfff, If you survive, I will make sure that your remains are made an example of"
Tradx could hardly contain himself anymore, he broke out laughing as he heard that.
"You have no idea how many dead people have said that to me!" he said in between laughing.
While they were talking, Karutomaru said something to Hideyoshi. The two of them walk up to the man in chains and Karutomaru looks him in the face.
"I'm going to enjoy this."
The man speaks for the first time.
"Do you think you'll go unpunished?"
"What do you mean?"
"You took me away in secrecy and avoided all confrontation with our school's staff. They've probably already found out I'm gone, and they will stop at nothing to get me back. Believe me... I've seen it. If you kill me, they'll find out, and they will seek your head."
Karutomaru chuckles at his warning.
"Trust me. I doubt anyone gives a damn about YOU, scum."
"Do you say that because... No one gives a damn about YOU?"
Karutomaru right hooks Stein in the face and knocks his glasses off. Stein only turns his head and looks at him.
"No wonder you're so afraid of us. You hit like a little girl."
"Maybe, but that's why I have him. Hideyoshi! Use that technique you only use to kill a single target. I want to see him in pieces."
Karutomaru starts walking back to his side of the stage.
"Burn in hell smoker."
Hideyoshi cracks his knuckles.
"I shall now put an end to your pitiful life."
Hideyoshi rapidly punches Stein with incredible force for a good 30 seconds, eventually pushing him to and pummeling him into the wall. He follows up with an uppercut to the bloody and beaten pulp that launches him several feet in the air. Hideyoshi follows with an incredible leap.
"Bear witness to the strength of the Toyotomi clan!"
Hideyoshi stops Stein from rising any futher by punching him back down a good 60 feet. The sheer force of the punch along with the acceleration by gravity makes a gigantic crater in the middle of the arena and an even bigger dust cloud than before. The debris conveniently buries what's left of Stein, and a small ball of blue flame floats out of the stadium. Hideyoshi walks out of the dust cloud casually.
"I'm done. Let's move on."
"Congrats, you just punched a restrained person, I am so impressed, really. Next time, let's do the ultra challenging task of suffocating puppies in a box, I am sure that will challenge you to your limit. Can I fight now?" He said sarcastically
"I'm probably the last person here to condemn a public execution, but come on. At least make it quick."
The crowd goes wild for the spectacle, and Karutomaru laughs harder than he should, though strangely enough, he body doesn't move very much considering most normal people would grab their gut at this point. He laughs for about 45 seconds before Uvogin intervenes.
"Hey. Are we going to get going?"
"Ha... ha... haaaaaaaa....... Yeah. It's their turn to choose first though."
"Like I said earlier, I am going."
Tradx was irritated at this point, the spectacle was wasting his time and he almost stopped just so he could wait and put one through Karutomaru, that would have been fun. Still, he was not sure that his partners would go that far so it was now or maybe never.
Tradx pushed down on his hat and it turned in to an airforce cap with goggles. The goggles glowed for a second before turning back to a clear color.
Onox clanks his way forward.
"If you're so anxious to fight, you can see how far you'll get taking it out on me."
