Slindis aims at one of the flying grapple droids and hits with an arrow, causing it to crash into the grease barrels.
The second she saw it veer towards them, she decided her best bet was to jump.
She leapt and avoided the ensuring fireball, but the base of the shaft was worse, fire and torn metal mixed, creating a spike pit.
Fortunatly, Rugal was still on the Cable and took her hand before he fell to her death.
Once the main blast was over and metal parts rained down on them, Rugal pulled her up on his back, piggy back style and said "I Really hate this world..." before climbing out of the shaft.
The whole factory floor was a fire-storm, filled with ash and metal.
"Shit! now what? I don't know if we can cut though that..."
"Well, that's not really an option at this point, is it?" She quickly patches up their wounds and charges through the fires, running straight to the entrance while jumping over the broken machines. Although her face was burned and her hair singed, she managed to make it out of the building relatively safely. This is right up there with that mission to stop the water poisoning.
Rugal charged soon after, clapping down some flames that reached his skin.
"Ahhhhahahahhah...Christ, nothing stings quite like fire...ooowwww...right, Barrier should be down, lets get the hell out of here..." he said as he walked away wincing at each step.
The cool air was a relief compared to the fire still blazing on inside. "That was far too close for my tastes. Now we need to get out before we're..." She trailed off, seeing the airship in the sky. "Go for the mounts and get out of here before that ship starts firing on us. Stick close to the ground so we don't take too much damage if our wings get clipped." Slindis whispered to Rugal. Fires behind us, foes in front of us, and a barrier waiting to trap us in that's powered by an arrogant, power-hungry fool. Tira, give us some luck. We're going to need it.
Richardson observes the chaos unfolding below along with Owen "I have to say Rez, you've done a fantastic job stopping those two from razing your city to the ground. May we be of assistance now?"
"Mount'- DAMMIT! My one escaped, thought I had him broken...Alright, uuhhhhmmmm, you escape by air, We will meet up later..." Rugal suggested as they made their way for the Exit.
"Very well then. We meet in the forest. If we haven't met within two days, I will come looking for you." She tosses Rugal one of her unadorned rapiers, but he can feel that something's odd about this weapon. "This may not look like much, but there's not many that can resist wounds from its blade, and it has a few extra surprises in store. I'll be expecting it on your return, so take good care of it." She gives his hand a firm shake then runs to the griffon and prepares to take off.
Damn it, why did that griffon have to flee? Now this is going to be much harder on the both of us, but we'll find a way. We have to.
"I will, Care take of yourself..." He repiled as he watched Slindis take off.
He then decided to take care of Richardson, as long as he was around, he could use his only ally. That and with the power grid down, It should be easy enough to escape.
"So, he wants another round then? Fine." Richardson turned to the lift. "Owen, go after Rugal's accomplice. If I fail to stop him, blow up the Valiant".
Rugal advanced, Rapier drawn, I wonder what she meant by "not many that can resist wounds from it's blade...
"You...You seem to want me dead, mind if I know why?..."
"I'm a leader of a group of Super Heroes, you figure it out". Richardson took off his longcoat and threw it to the wind, blowing it off the side of the ship. He drew his sabre.
"And you think I'm Evil?...Heh, if I had a dollar for every-time I heard that..."
He charged and attempted to land a hit with the Rapier.
Ricardson predicted the attack and parried it, flashstepping back and walking slowly towards Rugal. "Nice try, but I'll show how to use a blade properly". He flashstepped forward, slashing Rugal. "Round Three mate".
Richardson landed several slashes on Rugal before he could attempt one of his own, he never really trained Sword play as much as he should've.
During an opening, he landed a kick to Richardson's ribs and then a headbutt to the face before bringing the sword up to slash his face.
Richardson stepped back, the cut on his face beginning to heal, Why is he using a blade? It has to be enchanted with something..... "Good, you're learning, but this is where it gets a tad complex". He flashstepped forward, hitting the Rapier itself while his left arm built up energy.
Rugal was knocked off balance, allowing Richardson to get a few light slashes on his chest followed with a back kick.
However, before more damage could be done, Rugal went on the offensive, landing a hit on the right thigh and on the right forearm.
Richardson was stunned for an instant, allowing Rugal to land a hit to the stomach, sending him into the conrtol tower. He jumped out "Okay then, powering up". Richardson eyes began to glow, an aura appeared around the blade of his sabre, an image of two wings began to glow on his back."Ready?"
He answered with a "REPPU-KEN!" that travelled towards Richardson.
As it did, He leapt up and landed behind him and began to attack.
After a few blocked efforts, the Projectile hit it's mark and Rugal landed a Clean Hit across his face, notably the eyes.
[Note to self, buy contacts] Richardson flashstepped 10 metres away to get some distance to regain his sight, before returning the favour. "SHAKUNETSU!"
As the fireball surged towards its target, he pulled out his Samurai Edge and unloaded on Rugal before jumping over the fireball to deliver a jump kick.
Rugal used "DARK BARRIER!" to form a green shield around his forearm.
He took the Kick to the face but used the impact to preform a back hand swing, hitting Richardson across the face before blocking the Fireball.
He then did his own jump kick in the style of a dropkick.
Sod it, time for New Trick 1.. Richardson jutted out his right hand, Crimson lightning arced out of it, sending Rugal back, Richardson advanced on Rugal, sending out lightning and weak fireballs out of his left hand as he walked.
LIGHTING POWERS TOO?! Who the hell is this guy!?
Rugal used the Rapier to attract the lighting but the smaller fireballs still got in.
He soon Fell to his knee out of pain and fatigue.
"You really should have ran while you had the chance". His sabre was now enveloped in plasma again, he slowly walked towards Rugal, his right arm glowing more and more orange as he prepared to deliver the final blow.....
Before he could land the hit, He watched as Rugal's hair color changed from blonde to white.
He stood up in a slightly robotic manner
"This fight is far from over..." He grinned as he attacked with his sword.
Owen sprinted through the corridors of the Valient after Richardson gave him his instructions, after rounding several corners he burst out onto a balcony, jutting out from the other side of the bridge tower, he proped his sniper rifle up on the railings, a full magazine of armor piercing rounds are loaded in the rifle as he spots Slindis, a loud, harsh ringing sound blows on the wind as he pulls the bolt back, taking a moment before taking a shot, the bullet if hitting doing serious damage, if not, the shockwave flowing around it would still be felt. He pulls the bolt back immediately, ready for another shot.
"Oh, bugger." He still has an OMEGA FORM. The last time he used it, he killed a half dozen supers....
Richardson flashstepped and knocked the Rapier out of Rugal's hand.
She mutters a curse. "This situation is Khyber bound, and it's not going to get better any tome soon. Still, need to find a way to make it work. Gah!" Although the bullet missed her, it had done its job: it tore straight through the griffon. She rolled as she landed on the ground, grunting at the impact before rolling behind a building as cover. The city limits were within sight, and she wasn't about to fail now. "I started with the ar'Kerran brothers, continued on with raids on Droaam, but I won't stop here." She chants, and her skin shimmers for a second.
Omega Rugal Stuck back with brute force to Richardson's Gut, winding him.
He then picked him up and proceeded to beat the life out of him, each blow leaving an audible crack of bones.
Before he could finish him off, he heard a shot.
He turned and saw Slindis'd griffon far from the sky.
"SLINDIS! Grrrrrr, THIS. ISN'T. OVER!" He shouted before throwing Richardson to the ground and ran off to make sure she was still alive.
Owen sends another air shattering armor piercing round towards Slindis, not letting up on the fire on her, keeping her trained with a well practised eye and disciplined trigger finger.
Another Bang, This time Rugal found the Source, A armoured man firing a rifle, It was of a massive Calibur.
"YOU!" He shouted to grab his attention.
Owen takes his eye from the scope, glancing around for the source of the voice, he pulls the bolt of the rifle back, peering from Rugal to Slindis before turning his radio on. "Richardson, you there?"
Rugal quickly climbs up the Railing and advances on Owen.
"You, Drop you're weapon and I *Might* Let you live..." He said in pure rage.
He uses his Slashing Aura to cleanly cut up the metal rails as he walked forward.
She dives behind another building, and the bullet grazes her leg. "How was my griffon killed by a sonic blast?" It was clear that she was getting tired from the exertions, but she continued to press on, only needing to use about three more buildings to get out of the city. "By Tira, I'm a Torchbearer! I shouldn't be leaving an ally behind, even though he wanted me to. The last time that happened, it resulted in a trapped soul." The drow pants as she takes cover behind a building. What in Siberys did I do to deserve this?
Owen lifts his rifle up, not dropping it, merely proping it against his shoulder, ready to take aim and pull the trigger if necessary. "Not another step! Stay back!"
