She notices the nervous laughter. "Jath, take this. It's something that should help your injuries when you get back. It won't fix them all, and I don't even know if it'll transfer over, but if it does, drink it." The drow hands him a small vial filled with a dimly glowing blue liquid and looks at the troll in symphathy. "Just make it back safe, get patched up, and hit those Khyber-taken fools twice as hard as they hit you." She cheekily grins.
"Right then, we'll head for the cave, if you're right about this, we should be home in no-time..." Rugal said doing his best to hide his evil grin.
He set out for the cave motioning the others to follow.
Seeing that Slindis saw right through him, Jath didn't bother lying. "I don' tink it's gonna help me much, mon. If I remember right, I was in quite da bad situation when I ended up 'ere. Still, I appreciate it. Yer a good Elf, mon. And a good friend"
Suddenly, he saw his arms fading away, and was pretty sure that when he woke up again, he'd be facing an arrow to the neck.
"Well, time fer me ta go, I guess. Nice knowin' ya all. Hope ya all make it back ta where ya belong." a sad smile in his face, Jath had accepted his fate. Whatever was gonna happen next, he would face it with everything he had
Richardson had detected the location of the other adventurers, and set to join them. The Skyship took off.
Rugal and co. soon were deep in the forest as the Airship soared over head.
Dang it, knew I should'a killed him...
A look of worry crossed her face when she saw the airship above them. That doesn't look like any airship I've ever seen. Where the heck is the elemental ring? It was possible that her concerns were unfounded, but Slindis drew her bow in case whoever was in the airship wished to resort to violence from the beginning. "Rugal, Oliver, this doesn't look too good here. The forest may provide some cover, but there's nothing stopping them from simply scorching it, and us along with it. Of course, we could fet lucky again, but Olladra doesn't smile on many twice."
A bleep popped up on the Airships's Radar. It was closing in and fast, very small too.
Amay had been flying patrol around her base when a white flash engulfed her and she was a bit of ways away from the massive airship. What in the world is that? better check it out... the witch though to herself and flew towards the ship.
"This is Amaya Hatashi of the 401st joint Stike Witch Team, identify yourself or i will open fire." she said, broadcasting over her headset.
Wait, I'm the bad guy now!? Richardson switched on the com system "Pilot Hatashi, this is Pheonix Richardson, Captain of the SkySkip Valiant. I'm attempting to track down an arms dealer/tyrant, I mean no harm to you or anyone else".
Amaya kept her distance. "I don't know you, or your ship for that matter. It has no markings recognized by the Nations Alliance." she said over the comm to Pheonix.
"Well in case you haven't seen the sky we're probably not under the jurisdiction of your Nations Alliance, or any nation for that matter".
Slindis waves Rugar and Oliver over. "You two need to retreat now, before we come into combat with whoever is in that airship. Just say the word, and I'll try to provide a distraction so you can get that portal set off."
A bright blue light flashed somewhere off in the distance, and suddenly, there was Rez. He was scanning the Blank-Slate and making notes. He had a photographic memory, but it never hurt to get a recording.
"This entire area seems to be made of some kind of undefined material that can be shaped by the mental activity of living things. A kind of cosmic stem cell."
With that, Rez used his mind to create a massive laboratory complex around him with all the facilities he would need to research this place, and even if he needed more, he could just think it up.
"The only problem here seems to be the idea of sampling this blank matter. If I attempt to seize it physically, then won't I technically have given it shape and compromised it's blank-slate form?"
He began busily running tests on his own body with different machines to see how this new dimension affected his body.
The green blur races past Amaya's ship, hurtling into Richardson's airship, coming to a spark-filled, grinding halt on in the middle of the top 'air strip'. Owen lets out a groan, his armor shock absorbing most of the fall but not without a few serious bruises. He blearily pushes himself up to stand, waving his SMG around in the vague direction of the main tower on the airship in the hope of looking combat ready and prepared.
Great, another inconvience. Richardson pulled out his sabre and pistol (A heavily modded M9 that fires 40.S&W), he wasn't going to be caught off guard this time. "What part of 'I mean you no harm' can't any of you understand?"
Owen grimaced and lifted one hand to the radio on his helmet as the alien voice comes through. "Hello, hello, this is Owen Knight of the 63rd drop shock squad, broadcasting to person unknown. Can I ask... WHERE THE HELL AM I?!" Owen lowers his hand and takes a low run across the air strip, slamming against the wall of the control tower as he reaches it, moving towards the nearest doorway, slowly.
restore whatever i put here to count for below post.
"Knight, you know as much as I do, I just landed here then had my ship scavenged by an Arms Dealer with a god complex, now how about we just drop the arms and calm down?" Here's hoping they cave a shred of common sense.......
"Hatashi, the man you're looking after is Rugal Bernstein, he's wanted for multiple offences, mainly mass murder and arms dealing, I've picked up multiple signs below, but I'm not sure who they belong to"
"That...won't be necessary..." Rugal chuckled as he threw his jacket at her again.
He went to a clearing with a straight line of sight with the Airship.
He closed his eyes and got into a strange stance with his hands out wide.
He then brought them back so it looked it he was being pulled by his arms and charged power.
As his growl went up in volume, a large blue fireball started to grow from his hands.
He lined up the shot.
He fired a Massive Fireball of pure Kí energy the size of a house at the Airship.
"Drop the arms? Ha! You gotta be kidding me, last thing I remember is dropping into a New Mombasa hot zone around the Oni, now I'm here, place could be crawling with Covvies for all know, the hell am I coming in without a gun in my hands." Owen reaches the door and stands with his back flat against it, taking a breath he swings round, SMG held ready, eye trained down the sight as he folds into the door with a well practiced move.
Amaya saw the blast moving towards the ship and she was quickly directly in its path.
She raised her hands and a massive shield appeared before her.
The wave his the shield and was met with an awesome force, stopping it in its tracks. The attack soon dissipated As amaya was left panting from the exertion.
"All right! a Challenge! Hehahhahaha!"
He began charging for longer this time, resulting in some cybernetic mods he made to his body back in the day becoming visable.
"Block this! KAISER.......PHOENIX!" He shouted as sent out several more Fireballs at both ships.
Rez's lab instruments picked up a massive blast of energy being released from a living being. He sent out a small group of observation drones to investigate, not willing to risk the possible danger himself.
"Oh, so that's how he want's to play it then.....Fine by me". Richardson leaped out of the main tower just before the Kaiser Wave hit, his flame wings sprouted as he began his descent; "I'd like to see him try this".
As he fell to the surface his hands began to glow orange, the aura now surrounded his whole body.
"TRY DODGING THIS, SCORCH BLITZ!!!!". A maelstrom of fireballs rained down on Rugal, Richardson throwing out a barrage as he descended.
"Huh, this in new, but meaningless, DARK BARRIER!" Rugal shouted as he created a green shield over his arm and sent each of the Fireballs that would hit him otherwise back to their caster.
"Slindis! Run! I'll Find You!" he shouted over the barrage.
Owen cursed rapidly, peering out of the doorway at the various fire balls being exchanged, he slides down the wall and sits with the SMG resting on his knees and lets out a deep sigh, raising a hand to adjust his radio.
"This is Owen Knight of the 63rd drop shock squad broadcasting on an open channel, I'm stuck on some kind of cruiser, requesting pick up or something, or atleast some Oni intelligence on where the hell I am."
"Really thinks I wouldn't see that coming?" Richardson flash-stepped to the ground then towards Rugal, grapping the throwing him towards a tree.
Oliver stops watching TV. "Well this is an interesting development..." he says.
Before Impact, Rugal used his Slashing Aura and cut though the trees like a knife though butter.
He soon reappeared and shouted "YOU! heheheHAHAHA. THAT...was impressive, I could learn a thing or two from you, and to think, I thought you were just a guard, HA!"
He cracked his neck and asked "So how we gonna play this? first to bleed? last man standing? Mortal Kombat? Human Killing Machine?..." as he got ready for the battle ahead.
She nods, grabbing Oliver by the arm. "Come on, unless you want to get caught in this! I'll try to find a safe place for us, but this definitely isn't it!"
"Go! I'll Take Care of This, Find us a Safe Place, RUN!" Rugal reaffirmed his warning to Slindis.
The second they were out of range he turned and said "Now where were we?...First to Five? Extreme Rules? No Items, Fist's Only, Final Destination?"
Richardson laughed, it was a long time since he had such an opponent to contend with. "I was thinking of something a little more classical, if you will", he unsheathed his sabre, now wreathed in plasma. "En garde, mate".
Amaya made her way back to the ship and landed on it. "Damnit, i need help getting out of these things."
