"I doubt anything in your diet is making you seize up." Laguna said. "Something magical maybe? Can you heal or check yourself?"
People might notice a mile away or so, a small meteor arc through the sky.
It burned up in the atmosphere, though, so there's no need to pay attention to that.
But below it, there was a slight flash of Blue and Orange.
Alice re-appeared behind Greed, covering his eyes with her hands. "Whatcha doing?" she asked with a grin, still wearing her purple jacket and V neck black top, but her hair was now in a single ponytail with her long fringe covering her right eye.
Greed twitched slightly when Alice appeared behind him and covered his eyes, and as he had before, grabbed on to her arm, about to throw her onver his shoulder, but stopped himself when he heard her voice. "Making sure people won't be doing things they're not suposed to." Greed responded.
soon after he blew on his fingers, Thresher hovered towards him, responding to the call. "Meta." Telepathically, it asked Greed what he wanted.
"Yeah. Those new arivals? I want you to keep an eye on them,so to speak. If they do anything I wouldn't like, inform me of this."
Thresher acknoledged the order, and floated off again. Greed meanwhile, turned to Alice and smiled as he looked down on her. "Don't you look cute?" he stated more then asking an actual question.
Erica hummed, and nodded. "To a certain extend, yes." Closing her eyes, she began to focus, and after a moment, opened them again, shaking her head afterwards. "Nothing magical is afflicting me. Of course, this could be because it's a form of magic unknown to me, or above my level of skill, but this too, is an unlikely scenario." After taking another sip from her tea, she shrugged slightly. "Either way, this isn't something I worry over, yet."
Sarah approached the front door of the mansion and knocked on it.
"Alright. You wanna just keep it in the back of your mind, fine by me. Maybe write about it in your book from day to day so you can keep an eye on it."
Alice smiled happily then hugged onto Greed's arm. "Aw you really think so? Such a gentleman Greed" she said to him, then gave him a small kiss on his right cheek. "Some more people for the 'Happy fun time group' then?" Alice asked Greed, her voice going a slightly high pitch when quoting the group's name.
"Of course. You know I never tell a lie." Greed responded, giving Alice a light stroke on the cheeck. "And, I don't think so. They claim a co-worker of their was abducted, and want us to get her back. A wierd story, if you ask me. I'm not really trusting it." he explained, then paised for a moment. "I should probably just have Thresher check if they're telling the truth or not. Wouldn't want to miss an oppertunity for more money."
"That's prescise what I'm going to do." Erica responded, giving Laguna a single nod, then taking another sip from her tea. "I'll make note of it before I go to sleep." she added, then paused, indicating a change of subject. "Anyway, is there something we need today?"
From the edge of the forest near the mansion, they could hear someone dragging something.
"Gar... Devoir... (Help... Me...)
They would see a Gardevoir, slowly dragging a large man towards the mansion, in her hand two old bags, heavily worn.
Oh, also, her other arm. Because it was smashed off.
James finally reached the kitchen and warmed himself up some food. He than sat down to eat,
wondering what to do for what was left of today.
"Not that I know of." Laguna said, leaning back with his hands behind his head.
"Abducted? well if we get them back we should get a reward right?" Alice asked Greed, nudging him slightly with her elbow. "Don't worry about trust issues" Alice added, her cane appearing her left arm. "I could rip there heart out if needed!" she said with a small crazed chuckle.
James heard the knocking on the door and went to check on it,"Hello? Can I help you?"
"Hello. I would like to talk to you, and any other interdimensionals in this mansion, about a job I require assistance with." Sarah replied.
"You seem to have a lot of fun with the heart ripping." Greed remarked light-heartedly as he looked to the cane appearing, then back to Alice. "You keep those things as souveriers?" He squinted his eyes as he saw something slowly moving near the edge of the forest, although it was too far away, and with the sun setting, too dark, for him to make out what it was.
"Ah, good." Erica responded, walking back to where she had laid her satchel, and rummaged through it, retrieving the amulet. "That means I have some time to try and unravel the amulet's secrets. I haven't made much progress with that." she stated, sitting down on the bed. "I had wished to go see my unofficial pupil, but by now, it might be a bit on the late side for that."
"What my cat friend just said, gather everyone in this mother effing house asap." He added.
Laguna looked at the amulet. "Rika? She's gotten pretty good with your help. As for that amulet, I'm afraid I can't really help there."
Gardevoir got closer, then into view, seeing the group, hearing them talk.
"Gardevoir! Gardevoir! Gar De voir! (Hey, help! Heavy is hurt, I need assistance, and I lost an arm)." she shouted, still holding the two bags and her arm.
"Umm..alright..come on in.." He led the girl in,"I'm James by the way, James Maxwell."
Having been wandering by the main hall when Sarah and Edward were at the door, Milly was drawn over to the scene. "Hmm? Who are these two?" She asked James as she walked up to his right. Glancing back out the door, she took another look at Sarah and Edward. That lady looks a little familiar...
"People call me Sarah." the catgirl replied, following James.
"I see.." James led her to the table and pulled out a chair for her,"So, why exactly are you
here?" He asked.
"The hell?" Greed said to himself once he saw the Gardevoir dragging the man. Hearing it talk, he didn't understand what it was saying. While he saw Heavy was wounded, he didn't care in the slightest, and thus made no effort to help.
"She has?" Erica questioned. "I haven't read up on what we have been working on, and how much progress she has made." Closing her eyes, and holding the amulet in both hands. "It can be called miraculous she made any progress at all, considdering she has a near-senile teacher." she continued, chuckling somewhat bitterly.
Alice shook her head. "Nope! I just let the claw take them" she said to Greed with a smile. "And I know it doesn't hang it around the house for the Neighbors to look at"
Gardevoir sighed as she saw him, and used a bit of telepathy to pretty much shout, in her best english: ME AND COMRADE ARE HURT, REQUIRE ASSISTANCE, HAVE MONEY SCRAP AND UNUSUAL.
"Hey, if you managed to teach spells to a goofball like me, who comes from a world where only one person per generation can do magic, then I think you're doin pretty good." Laguna said, chuckling.
"I'm called Edward, Ed for short." Edward said. Why does she look like that loli vampire from Bakemonogatari? He then continued following Sarah, who was following James.
OoC: Yes, I am breaking the fourth wall, sue me.
Sarah sat down, then began explaining the issue. "A co-worker of mine went missing about a month ago. I believe I have found her, but I will require assistance in getting her back."
"Hmm.." He folded his arms and sat back,"A co-worker,you say? Who exactly do you work for? And
why come to us of all people for help?"
Greed looked back to Alice, about to respond, when the Gardevoir telepathically shouted. Greed winced, clutching his head. "Do that again, and I'll hurt you..." he snarled towards the Gardevoir. "Anyone here have any medical expertise?" he called out after grunting, although he made no effort to move himself.
Erica smiled at the compliment. "Thank you. The compliment is appreciated." With simply focusing on the amulet doing nothing note worthy, Erica opened her eyes again and began flipping through the pages of her notebook.
Experience no necessary, need man two arm hands she said, everyone in the mansion hearting it, though heavily muddled, as she slowly hobbled to the mansion.
"I work for a tech company, which is also a front for an interdimensional research group." Sarah replied. "I came to you to avoid implicating my employers in what I will likely have to do." Hearing Gardevoir's message, Sarah looked around the room in confusion.
Laguna smiled, then sat back, thinking.
Milly let out an irritated 'Hmph' at being ignored by James and those at the door. "I may not have answered the door, but that doesn't give them the right to be rude." She muttered to herself as they all walked off. Feeling bored again, she decided to go outside, shutting the door behind her. The sun had completely set, so she was in no risk for leaving the confines of the mansion. She didn't pay Gardevoir's muddled message much mind, being used to such things at this point.
Not really sure what Gardevoir meant with its message, and not caring enough to ask on it, Greed shrugged to himself. Looking to Alice, he said, "Time to store the money in the safe. I'll be in my room." Walking past, Milly, giving her a nod in the way of a greeting, he made his way to the master bedroom, the door of which too, had been replaced, and opened the door. Entering, Greed opened the briefcase, and the safe, moving stacks of money held in the brief case into the safe.
OoC: I'm off.
