Will James (Extra Credits) and Rob (Unforgotten Realms) be there?

While we would really love to see both of those lovely folks, and their associated crews, as neither are currently featured content providers for The Escapist, we really can't comment on their possible future plans.

What we DO know is that the infamous Yahtzee will be there, along with Gavin Dunne of Miracle of Sound, Bob Chipman of Escape to the Movies and The Big Picture, Jim Sterling of The Jimquisition, the Loading Ready Run gang and many of our other contributors.

I hope to see you there!

And me! That counts for...something....right? No. Well, poo.

That definitely counts! I'm looking forward to getting to see the Escapist staff.

My point is that every funny and intersting video contributer has been mistreated and has left. All the funny forum posters have been banned or stopped posting. It's a little too late to do a convention when your audience is now comprised of emo's and March Madness people.

So which are you? Emo or a March Madness person?

My hair would indicate the former however I would say neither. Which is the reason I hardly ever participate on the forums anymore.

And what am I then? Chopped liver? I try damn it! And I haven't been banned yet!

Would love to. However, flight tickets to North Carolina cost money. Money which I do not posses.

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GGGGGGGOOOOOOODDDDDDDDD

I already order my ticket and can not wait to see LRR and ZP in my home state :D. I'm sooo freaking EXCITED O_O.

Finding it rather amusing that 2 Escapist Staff members are contributing a fair amount to this topic...

I got all excited when it said "Durham" then I read on and saw "North Carolina" and my heart sank. £20 isn't really all that much for a boss weekend but I have to say i'm not TOO keen on the £600 return flight to North Carolina, not to mention that I work weekends.

WHY CAN'T YOU GUYS EVER COME OVER HERE AND DO STUFF?!?!

Who knows?

If this goes well, we could get adventurous in future years :)

127 mi, 2 hours 20 mins according to google maps from Mooresville, N.C. Really wish I could make it but I don't know.

If I can travel several thousand miles from the other side of the world to go to this then you can travel 127 miles :P

This is true, but you have the Doctor, and he does not. ;)

Screw that!

FRUIT CAKE AND BITTER FOR EVERYONE!!

All I can is...

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!

Man, I really, REALLY wish I could go. i really do. With all my heart and all my other internal organs. But the plane ticket itself would be more than the entry fee (Which I completely appreciate that it's only 30 bucks for all the awesomeness you're giving us). Not only that, but also, school.

I could always ditch school...a week after it started...but again, plane ticket.

Did I emphasize how much I wanna go? I'm just gonna go cry now...

Might look into flights to Charlotte or Greenesboro, NC instead? It should be cheaper, and they're 3 & 1.5 hours away from Durham, respectively. Enough that you could probably take a bus or find someone else carpooling.

I so want to be there, but as a student living in The Netherlands. Having an internship till late september, it ain't gonna work. So sad now...

Hmmm... British Airways appear to have Advance Booking for 3 days at £340 and 7 days at £350 (However that works) from London to Charlotte Douglas International. Still, i'll need to evaluate my circumstances as it is 4 months from now. Who knows - I may actually have a holiday this year!

On a related note: John Funk quoted me - Twice!

My house -> Durham, North Carolina

Bee line distance: 7307.45 km / ~4540.64 miles.

Boo :[

You're welcome to visit Finland anytime though!

I might try to make it out. Funds are a bit short, but I'm going to get into contact with some friends and see if I can split the main costs in gas and hotel. It's a good ten hour drive from where I live. Not that bad really. I will try my best to make it thought. I like a lot of stuff on the Escapist and...

well...

I'm bored.

Sorry for the double post, but I have a question. How much is the Pub-club discount on the passes, and does it stack with the student discount? I ask because I'm a student, and saving some money on the pass might be enough to get me to get a Pub Club membership like I've been considering for a while. Thanks.

See, I would go. But, unfortunately, a little thing called the Pacific ocean has gotten in the way. I am unable to attend and I am sorry!

For once living in NC is gonna pay off for me

I live on the other side of the country and can't afford the airfare.

Oh. Snap.

And for the record, we're not all gone, some of us have jobs now :)

Nope, I'm not in the USA nor going to be anywhere near there in September. It'd be interesting to check out, though.

Oh well, have fun guys! I could come, but you have to pay for my plane tickets. yes, I am THAT special.

PubClub discount is $5 on the 3 day pass, not sure about the daily ones.

Well, if I do go, then I'll likely pick up a Pub Club if they combine. Only saves $4 more if it's 20% from the $25, still worth it. And of course I'd pick up a 3-day pass. It's too long of a drive to only stick around for a day or two.

But anyways, thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

If things go as planned i'm gonna be moving to Montgomery, AL in august so maybe this could be an idea...

I'd love to go, especially for the Miracle of Sound live show. I'd kill to see that >_>

Cool idea, but... distance and budget prevent me from going. :s

Oh, if only I could.
Sadly, teleportation is still a thing of a future.

I'm really sorry, really sorry I can't make it.
But if the low comparative price of whiskey and rum won't get me from Australia to America, you guys didn't have much of a chance, so don't feel bad I'm not there.

Quick question for you. I see the list you have here, as well as the one on the official page. But I've also heard that Mark of Ask Dr.Mark will be there. And the official page only shows Paul and Graham of LRR. Is there prehaps a more complete guest list somewhere?

I went ahead and updated the FAQ to be clearer. PubClub is $5 right off the top of your first order, no matter what pass you order. It will stack with the Student discount, which gets applied first. I hope this helps!

Since I live in Finland and can't make it there, is there going to be some videos or topics here in Escapist from that event after it's over?

We'll be continuing to release more concrete information as the schedule solidifies. Stay tuned!

If only I lived in the U.S....
Or this had been in August las year, when I was there.

Please let there be videos about this... like the events and such...
