Please feel free to post any questions or comments and we will get back to you ASAP! Thanks for reading and hope to see you all there!

Quick note on the above post: A $10 "Videogame Tournament Pass" will give you access to as many tournaments as you can fit into your schedule. The only tournaments that are completely free to all attendees are Gears of War (Sponsored by Epic Games), Ghost Recon Future Soldier (Sponsored by Red Storm Entertainment), and League of Legends (Sponsored by Riot Games). Also note we have been running tournaments since 2006 and have worked with the Escapist numerous times over the years. We are really looking forward to helping run tournaments at the Escapist Expo this year so please feel free to ask us any questions or leave comments as necessary!

We are sorry to announce but due to time constraints we will have to reduce the team limit of Ghost Recon Future Solider from 64 teams to 32. We are very sorry if some teams have already registered and might be knocked out of the tournament for this particular reason. We still encourage everyone to participate in the tournament and there are still spots left in several of the other tournaments. Thank you for your patience and hope to see you all there!

Also, we will have Carolina Games Summit posters, information, and staff on site so please take advantage of it and ask us anything!

One of the staff members told me I could participate in the LoL tournament even though I won't be there until Saturday morning. Something about the way the brackets are set up. Is that inaccurate?

I am sorry but that was inaccurate, the first round of the LoL tournament starts on Friday. And in the rules the latest you can register for the tournament is 1:30pm on Friday. Also, there are no substitutions for team members so you cannot have someone sign up for you. I wish we could help you but the schedule is set per the time we have been given. There are still plenty of other tournaments you can sign up for on Saturday and Sunday though! Thanks for your understanding and hope to see you there!

Thanks for the response. That's okay with me, it looked like the LoL tournament was going to be pretty time consuming anyway and I want to be able to check out the rest of the Expo while I'm there :P
