Stolen Pixels #103: Left 4 Dumb, Part 19 Pages 1 2 NEXT
I'm guessing you had a part in this one, Susan? Nonetheless, I've noticed a substantial increase in both time inbetween taking damage and getting healed aswell as heals given when playing Zoey. One of these days, I'd like to play Zoey and, using my deepest possible voice, ask someone to heal me.
Awww dang... Funny though x)
Oy...Those guys are incorrigible...
Haha! Good one! | |
Lol. Knowing valve, they probably do have statistics like that. >.<
I wish Valve would make a Left4Dead team that consisted of 3 WOMEN and one guy. Imagine shooting zombies in the face with a shotgun, using an avatar that looks like your grandmother. After being attacked by the Boomer, Grandma Zombie Killer would kindly tell you to go wash your hands. THAT would be awesome!
Wait a minute. They're trapped in an infected city; surrounded by broken buildings, burning cars, and constantly pursued by zombie hordes. HOW ON EARTH DID SHE GET A PAPERCUT???
shit happens. | |
I'm Shamus Young, and I endorse this message.
Nope, Stolen Pixels' genius is all Shamus, all the time. I do, however, feel Zoey's pain.
Maybe she was attacked by an extremely vicious infected book?
I've become something of a follower of this strip. One of the better offerings that the Escapist has to offer, well above that of Apocalypse Lane, the latest Unforgotten Realms episodes, and many others.
LOL X'D Noooooooooooooooooooooo not a papercut! Hurry get her to the E.R. NOW!!!
Do you need some Aspirin, or a bandaid, or maybe Morphine? How about all three? QUICK SOMEBODY CALL 911!
PILLS HERE! | |
Joke was already done by Ctrl+Alt+Del.
This happens a lot when it comes to the more obvious jokes. A lot of people that write comics for the newspapers will talk about getting a cool idea for a joke and then have people think they copied it from someone who's work came out a few days beforehand. It's not quite as much delay with web comics, but this is definitely one of the easier jokes to make about L4D. They seem to have a system for determining who heals Zoey that is based on ho close to porn the experience was. Also, I like how Zoey's face is slightly amused instead of a mask of RAGING ANGER!!!!
Where!? Finally I have a good reason for playing as Zoey all the time!
Yeah but CAD isn't funny. Just interesting.
Maybe Linkin Park were sponsoring this particular strip? Though I'm as baffled as anyone as to how she can get a papercut in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Maybe she was writing a postcard to her family in a barricade: "Wish you weren't here..."
*Sigh, that is my only regret in missing out on L4D and getting L4D2. Farewell Zoey whatever her last name is.
Quoted for truth. | |
Big words...Big words....well you're a FLEEBLOTRONE!!!OH SEE I CAN MAKE UP WORDS TOO
Incorrigible is a word actually http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/incorrigible
psh I heal everybody if they need it I guess that makes me a bi-healer
yeah i know i figured it would be but still
My roommate hasn't gone all Science! on it, but he's noted that he does seem to get healed a ton more in pick-up games than when it's just friends. He always plays Zoey when he has the choice.
Bwhahahaha....(damn you male hormones!)
Man, if you go down like that again you're a gawner.
Wow. Kinky. Lol as ever, and to answer the age old question of how do you get a papercut in the middle of a zombie horde.
Tru' dat dawg. | |
That would so work in L4D2 with the New Orleans setting. "Now clean that up boy, and I'll make you some jambalya and cornbread." Now I'm hungry.
Clever | |
If it is a bleeding paper cut then her health will eventually go down to 1 and she won't be able to walk as fast. GET TO IT BILL!
c'mon, you know it's true.
Raging anger, or slightly irritated.. or unfresh.. or constipated. It still looks pretty B^U to me.

Stolen Pixels #103: Left 4 Dumb, Part 19
The boys of Left 4 Dead are really very tender and caring. In a creepy kind of way.
