Will this be regular occurrence in ZP? I don't think so there aren't that many games that share the same level of rivalry as inFamous and Prototype. So I dough Yahtzee will hold such a competition again. |

Persuasive power. Think about it. InFamous and Prototype were released to coincide because they were de-facto 'rival games'. Hence Prototype being so unpolished and lacklustre. And Yahtzee has admitted that Steam sales figures for Painkiller peaked after his review. So..I'm not sure where I'm going with this..>< |

I think they were competing for 2 different things entirely. Prototype went for humor, making a pale, flabby, and horrifically exposed Cole, while inFamous went for a teasingly cute hermaphroditic Alex...with male face intact.

I agree with Yahtzee on the winning pick. I'm not too amazed that they did it, I can imagine a group of creative games designers looking at this on the internet, getting in touch with their rivals and then deciding "what the hell, lets do this." |

Bayonetta, Dantes Inferno, Darksiders and God of War III do.... As do Forza 3, Need for Speed: Shift and Gran Turismo 5, and Heavy Rain and Alan Wake. However, in all three cases the better one is obvious from space (God of War III, Gran Turismo 5 and Heavy Rain, duh). Plus, you can't exactly ask th makers of Bayonetta to try and debase their character, it wouldn't work, the character has no dignity to begin with. Both pictures are ugly and breasts don't do anything for me, except force me to buy a bra for job interviews, but kudos to both companies willing to dive into Yahtzee's sick and twisted mind in a good natured way. And also, to prove if you give anything big breasts and a tight shirt, men salivate and become mindless putty. Glad us women are still in control. The submission from the Prototype devs that Yahtzee considered looks suspiciously similar to some of the concept art from Fable 2... is Lionhead moonlighting as a mercenary character-debasement service?
