Your first episode was terrible, but you recovered and I can now see the potential in this series.

Edit: Steve, rub my nipple.

Thanks dude. Those first couple of episodes were necessary to the story (believe it or not) but they also helped establish these characters. This episode would not have had the same impact if it was number one because it relies on the audience knowing that Steve and Cuddles are good buddies and Gladice is a bitch.

It's exciting now to me because we can start getting to the meat of what this show is about, and It makes me happy that people are starting to like it.

Regardless I'm glad you stuck around and be sure to keep watching. It's gonna be fun. :)

Dam right, I don't think I've seen other contributors in the forums beyond post topics for new episodes.

Aaaanyway, great episode and given the somewhat cliffhanger-esc ending, is the series going to have overlapping plot lines (one of episodes/jokes still of course)?

It's been said before and I'll say it again. This show just keeps on getting better each week.

Eagerly awaiting the next episode.

This is seriously now... one of the best series on The Escapist. A true rival to Zero Punctuation.

Thanks man. I'm striving to have the best animated show on the site and I'm working my butt off to deliver. It's hard to compare my show with ZP since his is a review show and mine's an animated series. the only thing we have in common is being featured on the site. Not saying his stuff is bad or anything, it's fucking hysterical IMO. I would like to have Mr. Croshaw as a guest voice sometime. :)

I also appreciate UR for what it is. I'm not a big D&D or RPG fan so I feel some of the jokes go over my head, but it seems to have a nice fan following and that's all us creators can really ask for. :)

-Jon

IMO you're already the best animated series. ZP and Unskippable aren't really animated series, so it's a bit like comparing a gearbox and a pancake. The closest competitor you had was Unforgotten Realms, which is quite good as well, but to me URs has gone the way of Naruto...Filler-and-spam sandwich... Trying to stretch 2 episodes worth of jokes over 3 seasons, and thus has gone stale. I preferred UR when it was just making jokes on the nature of D&D style gameplay...

That said, been a fan of AL since the trailer, and honestly expected a lot worse, specially animation wise. Expected a lot more of a "South Park-cardboard-cut-out" feeling to it. But as I said, I was pleasantly surprised. The animation is actually quite professional, seen a - LOT - worse on TV (just pick most of the stuff on Cartoon Network). Also liked the attention to detail, like you (or your alias "Big Pete") dying in the first episode or the 2pac poster and "thug life" tattoo on Gladies (sp?). To me I look at AL like Fallout 3 happening in the Ed, Edd n' Eddy (one of the best and most underrated shows ever) world. And honestly it works very well.

Keep at it man, looking forward to more. AL has become a staple on my fridays.

Great Episode! XD I'm starting to see plot in it! It would be great if you could have a fight episode.

At first, I was agreeing with Cuddles:

Cuddles:
What the f*ck!?

But watching the rest of the episode, it was actually amazingly thought out.

Jon, you kept on commenting in the forums that by the sixth episode you would do something amazing that would bring this show around (Something which I was curious about for a long time), and I must say you have done a brilliant job at it. I didn't expect that ending whatsoever and it really has turned the series around following the first episode, and seeing the comments on this one it seems I'm not the only one who thinks that.

Personally, I don't find it as funny as other shows on the escapist, but that's another thing that's good about it, as it means that you're treating the show seriously, as well as having a lighter side to it, unlike ZP and Unskippable, which are just there for the comedy.

Anyway, very very VERY good show, very good episode, and seriously, keep it up.

That was interesting. It was so wonderfully bizarre.
The plot twist also was pretty good, too. Do I see a rift between Cuddles and Steve growing?

On a slightly off-topic note, the theme at the end was great. Is that going to be the opening theme next episode?

The scene with everyone at the window was hilarious. Best part was the jaw actually hitting the ground.

Creepy as all get out, but deffinitely the best episode so far. Keep it up.

After watching it a second time I noticed the play on the Jon Lovitz quote "Hachi-Machi" getting turned into "Hachi Mother-F@#$ing Machi." Which I may have to steal from now on, I was already stealing Hachi-Machi, but you've provided a good adjective for me to throw into it.

Ok, I seem to be in the minority here. I laughed hard the entire episode, but I just got a feeling that it just took a turn for the worse. Apparently I'm the opposite of everyone else, I thought all the earlier episodes were great, but this one just changed it. I didn't see why there needs to be anything connecting one episode to another, I liked it as the odd, random, weird adventures of Steve and Cuddles.

Ok, maybe I'm worrying about nothing here. It still had the awesome and awkward humor, and made me laugh harder than any other episode yet, but still, it left me with some kind of bad feeling. We'll see.

so in short, I'm afraid that you;

Hah, persistence is really paying off with this, it's got better with every episode. Here's hoping that some of those who abandoned it early on will come back and see what's new...

As cheesy and As done to death as it is, I'm really hoping for the next episode to be a Cuddles sung power ballad about how much he misses Steve. Including slow fades to the last few episodes and ending with Cuddles in silhouette over a desert sunset choking back a tear.

I think this show has earned the right to an un-ironic power ballad.

Your and idiot Bryan!!! :p Ladies and gentlemen meet Bryan Mahoney. He's my co-writer for the series and also a really nice fella.

He's not very computer literate, but I'll forgive him because he makes me laugh.
