Unskippable: Metal Gear Solid 4: Part 3

The monkey was using his sexy monkey charms to lure Snake in to getting the gun...I was slightly scared and yet incredibly happy to see a monkey in undercrackers (or underwear to normal non northerners/freaks). Brilliant again guys!

Awesome guys... Look forward to your show every week. Loved the "calm down Snake, he's not Miss Clio."

Hahaha, you guys really tore that one to pieces.
It's becoming more and more apparent to me why you guys were so heavily requested to do this game...it's just begging for a verbal paddling at your hands.
Can't wait for you guys to cover the action scenes...if this one is any evidence, it'll be epic.

RebelRising:
Why was there porn groove music playing through almost the entire thing?

And did it take five minutes to establish that the guy was basically a merchant?

Also, what is up with that monkey?

So many questions, none that I want answered.

Because they're trying to establish that he's a very smooth and stereotypically charismatic black man.

And because Japanese just love to reiterate.

Why did it take so long to establish the guy was a gun dealer? XD

Anyways, loved the episode.

One of the motion capture guys for MGS4 displayed that he could do a good impression of a monkey, so they just decided to throw it in. Sure, it ruins the dramatic tension of every scene it's in, but come on: it's a monkey!

Tch tch tch, skipping the title for greater effect... am I the only one to notice this? The title should have been at the end of ep 1

EDIT: i haven't played the game but that old snake health bar really confused me, does he get older whenever he fails to shoot things?

For that matter, why is he called "Old Snake" as opposed to just "Snake"? Way to rub it in, game interface.

It's just the game designers way to show that he's agitated by the thought that he's that old and sometimes weak. At least I think so.

That's your psyche bar. It goes down when Snake has depressing moments, and considering that Snake loves to fire guns and is denied the opportunity to, he comes over all eighty-year-old emo for a spell.

But mostly it goes down when other characters call him old.

Good video, I'm just disappointed that you didn't take the easy Frank Drebin joke when you had the opportunity.

"and if you want to se how that phone call looks like just pop in to any of the billion throurought the game"

HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHA that made me laugh!

Actually, the title is a full 4 minutes of cinematic later than where we ended our first episode.
We didn't cut it "for effect", we didn't use it because it just wasn't a scene we wanted to use.

Thanks, Graham. I was just curious seeing as you guys can have covered a good variety of games since you got started.

Damn, I had to crank the monitor brightness to max just to see the outlines of the characters.

gamegod25:
Them - "Do I take the monkey or the gun?"

Me - ...or the soda? Wait, I'll take the gun then make the monkey get the soda! I'm a genius!

You fool! The monkey already has the soda. The smart plan is to take the gun, then take the monkey hostage with the gun.

I don't know if anything will beat the joke in the last video:

"Wow, this is surprising. This is my surprised face."

Made me laugh like crazy. (Don't know why I laughed as much as I did. Just did.) But this video was definitely great.

Oh, soz.

WOOOH I GOT TO SPEAK (ehhh) WITH GRAHAM YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! I LOOOOOOOOOOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ehum... sorry about that.

That was, by far, the best of the Unskippables so far. I really enjoyed it. Thanks guys.

Snake still can't hold guns gangsta style, not only that he doesn't remember how to shoot them.

The story so far: it's war that changed, snaked got old and there's a monkey in pants. Can't wait to see the next one.
I hope that last cut-sceene will be from the end of the game - very spoilerish, but there's nothing better than laughting at supposedly epic and katharsic moments XD

That monkey's a spy!

Seriously, though, good one. Looking forward to part IV.

I was talking about the unopened soda in the ice. I don't want a half empty soda with monkey spit all over it XD

Metal Gear Solid 4 is the best game I've ever watched.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is the best game I've ever watched.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is the weirdest movie I've ever seen.

Yeah, only 20 seconds were necessary.

I would have taken the monkey

so many spawn campers these days, glad to see someone is doing something about it.

That's a sweet monkey.

So wait, the black dude doesn't mind that snake suddenly crotches down and touches his ear for no apparent reason (as far as he knows).

yeah in MGS universes it seems like time stops when you take one of those codec calls. Its ben like in first MGS game

It seems like ones of those silly video game moments that only seem silly in retrospective...

Like those porkchops hidden in the walls in Castlevania!
