Anonymous Source Posts: 5 Joined: 21 Oct 2008 | Honestly, given the way things have been going in WoW lately, I think saying that "the instances are down" would be far more appropriate than "the servers are down." Still, very funny comic. ;D |

Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 780 Joined: 7 Jun 2008 | What I really like about this comic is not only is it hilariously cynic, but it does so while doing a perfect mimic of one of those late night TV shows. The opening panel totally looks like it belongs to Conan or something (except for the monstrous Citadel standing in the middle of it). |

Who'd thought 5 years ago that I'd ever lose my faith in Blizzard. Pardo and everybody else pushing this idiotic ideas need to go form a company with Bill Roper and create Hellgate: Seattle or whatever, and leave our LANs alone. |

That might not be a mistake if Shamus was referring to lemmings from the Lemmings games, as they would just blithely walk forward off of cliffs if you didn't stop them somehow, unlike real lemmings. |

I trusted Bill as much as anyone would trust a father figue, considering that father had been living in a cardboard box for the last 2 years..." |

Muckraker Posts: 239 Joined: 24 Oct 2007 | After Curfew With Wallace Breen is filmed in the historic Citizen's Informational Film Production Site on the 87th level of The Citadel in City 17. The studio has seating for 100 volunteer audience participants who are carefully screened for maximum edification from administrator Breen's messages. It is filmed and aired on an irregular schedule, coinciding with restructuring of food rations or servicing of the suppression field. John Smith, writer for The Combine Representative calls it "The most entertaining hour of television approved by the combine for citizen consumption." |

You probably wouldn't have a choice. Move along, Citizen. Final warning. Ahhh, Wallace Breen. If only you had used your position as puppet of malevolent alien overlords for good (and laughs) instead of evil. I'd stay up late to see the jugglers. You just keep getting more hilarious, do you know that, Shamus? Keep it up. |
Copy Clerk Posts: 80 Joined: 15 May 2009 | It was a great show. Hopefully we see more of this comedy club in the future. Also, wanting to charge more for games is just stupid. |

Anonymous Source Posts: 10 Joined: 21 Jun 2009 | Oh wow.....an actually funny strip that is made by someone other than Travis. Looks like Shamus has been taking notes and learning. I actually laughed this time. |

Copy Clerk Posts: 100 Joined: 11 Aug 2009 | I wasn't satisfied by the ending. It could have been an inside joke for escapist fans by saying. "Zoey from left 4 Dumb and music by Eyebrows and the thugs." |

Beat Writer Posts: 133 Joined: 2 Apr 2008 | Hmmm... Blizzard has nothing new to make? If past memory serves, Blizzard does best when taking existing genres, polishing them up and making a new game out of it. Often a genre-defining game. There's been a dearth of new genres around, though, so it's perhaps not surprising that they're falling on the old standards. Frankly, they're doing so well on the old properties that there's no real reason to "move on". And unlike Microsoft, Blizzard does not have any sort of monopoly on computer games - if you don't like their stuff, there's loads of other things to play. Blizz. has no need to risk the barn on "new" and "innovative" products when "tried" and "tested" does so well. I should add that I find Blizzard games to be bland and souless - not to mention intensely derivative. But then again, how else does someone get mass-market success? |
