Apocalypse Lane: Episode 21: Everybody Hates Cuddles

This is officially best series on the escapist. And I mean THE BEST.
I was actually about to shed a tear over cuddles misery (what can I say... I love the darn bastard) but then Frank's line (again GOLDEN LINE) came and I just loled xD.

Ah and Steve is officially most annoying dick in the show. Selfish bastard...

While I agree about Cuddles and Knifefight getting together being disturbing, I find it odd that Steve was that upset about it when he just dumped KF, after technically cheating on her with Gladys (it sounds like KF and Steve went a bit futher then just being friends before Poker Night).

Complexity!

Cliffhangers.

Must have more!

can I get in on that beat too

Well what can we say. It seems Steve is just an asshole :)

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawesome... Im loving it. <3

another great episode. i didnt expect the story to be so compelling.

I can't believe it tooke me this long to realize that Hickey was my favorite character. The rooster rules!!

The Rooster was a bit hard to understand actually...

Bad kitty! Bad goddamn kitty!

I'm willing to bet that Obama has finally set his plan in motion. Am I close?

Also, the Rooster was totally unexpected and actually very bizarre and funny. Great job, Jon.

Hahah. The end with the soldiers (They kinda' remind me of Spartans... o_O) was great. XD Where did they get those stories about Twitchy and Pumper? I can't imagine they'd be having a hard time killing Humongoid if they were really that relentless.

If I had one criticism for this whole series, it would be that it just seems to be going too fast, especially so with the beginning of it. The characters aren't as relatable as they could be, simply because you're only spending so many episodes on one particular arc of the story, but I understand the time retraints and the fact that it IS a web-based cartoon rather than a full 30-min TV series.

However, despite that, I'd rather watch Apocalypse Lane than even a lot of the things I see on TV. (Family Guy and such) The humor is nowhere near as crass as it is in those types of shows.

Everyone needs to stop being mean to Cuddles! >:(

Great episode as always.

Wow, that was kind of sad when Steve said he hated Cuddles. Who would've thought this would turn into a good drama?

I am flat-out stunned at how far this series has come in balancing humor and plot. Keep it this good. WE BEG YOU.

"Who the fuck ate all my yoghurt!?"

Ah man this is beast. I don't care if everyone hates cuddles he is still beast. And wow Pumper dry humping a port-a-john. This is my one o my top favorites on here.

Also that last bit with the henchmen was classic.

Spot on lad's. that one was F'ing MINT... (not as good as poker night tho) ;) keep up the good work.

Poor cuddles now he's only got GULLIVER and FRANK to hang out with and their bat sh** crazy!!!

What did her genitalia look like LOL

Awesome episode! The main characters seem more emotionally fleshed out, and although it wasn't as light-hearted as previous episodes that isn't necessarily a bad thing. And the "all's fair in love and gambling" line was exactly my kind of humour :)

The sound seemed to be a bit more 'dynamic' - I turned my speakers up for the quieter start and then nearly jumped out of my skin when there was shouting!

One of the funniest episodes so far! As I've said before, this show gets better every week!

I thought everybody hated Cuddles anyway, except Steve of course. He's still my favourite character though!

Awesome episode man!

I can't wait to find out what happened to Cuddle's arm. Cuddles and Steve looks like two guys who could have been in the army or something. Maybe especially Cuddles. That cliffhanger is exciting too, but I kinda feel bad for The Gamerz, their odds for beating Obama's thing when their boss is gone is well...I don't know the size of their army, but it seems Obama's is big.

Everything was great except the sound, nothing big, but it got a little hard to hear what they were saying sometimes, and when I turned up the volume they started shouting and shooting eachother.

O How I love thee, o great Episode 21. Let me count the ways that I die from laughter.
1) More like a prick.
2) Hallelujah! Rooster be praised.
3) Twichy's Easter Egg Hunt that can only be described as Saw-Quality.
4) Bet he won't last a week.
Awesome awesome work. Love the show.

haha ive been WAITING for the president's plan to come

Great Ep!

It's about time you got that shifty eyed avatar!

'Ohh shiit'.

gr8 ep as usual ^^..

I still love Cuddles! Great episode!

Judging by the audience when Steve and Marty were introduced, there appears to be a few dozen Gamerz. We don't really know what their offensive capabilities are like, though; the rifles which the guards at the end of this episode had appear to be lethal up close but the fact that they may not be full automatics could cause some problems if Obama's army has assault rifles due to the need to be more accurate (admittedly, the Gamerz may have taken the pre-'70s army view that training people to be accurate with semi-automatic weapons is better then letting people potentially waste bullets with full auto fire). Pumper's electro-stick thing appears to only have limited range while having limited effectiveness as well. Also, judging by the size of what's attacking them, the Gamerz will probably need rocket launchers to fight it effectively.

What makes you think Steve and Cuddles were in the army? I'm curious due to how letting acat join the army seems odd, and Steve hasn't shown any combat capabilities (that theory could explain how Cuddles is so lethal with a shotgun, though).

While Humongoid appears to be a complete loser, the fact that he's the leader of what Obama described as the most dangerous gang suggests he can be ruthless when necessary (we have some evidence of that from when he wanted to torture Hickey and Willie).

EDIT: I was just watching the last episode again and I noticed the guns seemed to be shotguns, which doesn't bode well for the Gamerz judging by how the attack force is likely to have weapons with better range.

I still love ya Cuddles!

Well, I'm certainly looking forward to the next episode. And I'm gonna have to check out the collective works by the guys who voiced the henchmen. *That* was a great scene by the way.

HA! Harry Partridge cameo! Awesome!

Ekonk:
Dammit, what IS that?

My guess is the giant worm.

Is this all planned out or are you making this up as you go along?

Either way, I'm happy this has gone on as long as it has, people didn't like it much at first but it's good they've finally come around.

Woohoo! Sam, Harry, and Max all in one episode, that's awesome. I wonder which one died, hehe. As for the episode itself, excellent acting, great drama, exciting cliffhanger, and a hilarious gambling joke. I have to say that this is my favorite episode so far. Also, does anybody else think that the great rooster sounds like Boomhauer from King of the Hill?
