The thing I really want to know is, how does Yahtzee feel about his rivals in the angry, cluster F-bombing game reviewer industry (AVGN, etc.)?

I was wondering if anyone knew what band was playing.

If I was god for a day I would make Charlie Brooker and Yahtzee do one show together.

Funny though, Yahtzee says he is somewhat modeling himself after Brooker in this and Brooker says he really like Yahtzee's work (in Gameswipe). Kind of like father and son in reviewing...

dear Yahtzee,

what programs do you use to make your videos?

Seriously, how about putting the questions in subtitles or something? It's interesting to see Yahtzee out of his stage persona, but not being able to hear the questions is pretty iritating.

This video would have its awesomeness increased threefold if someone did that. Just saying.

Hes actually pretty relaxed and I think I actually have some more respect for him now after watching this video. Interesting to see Yahtzee without him speaking 100words per second. I like this Yahtzee.

The first thing that comes to mind is how you have the badge for posting in 12 months with a 9 month old account.

Nice video, although hearing the questions themselves is somewhat tricky, Yahztee seems pretty confident speaking in front of crowds.

yeah i wish they would have put in subtitles with it. Yahtzee is a prety good speaker, although at first his coat made me think he was going to open fire.

I was wondering the same. Got interested when I noticed they were playing Mega Man themes (if I heard correctly). Thatīs always nice, but unfortunately it did severely interfere with the interview thing.

Britisheagle:
Also he kept getting his hand stuck in his pocket which actually amused me a little.

itīs the coat. I wear one pretty much like that, and my hand too can get (quite effortlessly) stuck in its pocket. Or maybe I just have huge hands...

Someone post a transcript, I can't hear a word the audience is saying, and sometimes even Yahtzee's mic garbles it.

This. Can't hear ANY of the questions, and even Yahtzee sometimes is barely hearable.

Could barely hear any of the questions. But still, was fun to listen to.

It's great to actually see Yahtzee and hear what he has to say aside from his reviews.

However, whoever set up that Q&A forum clearly had no idea how to effectively set one up. Should've had a stationary mic for the audience to line-up and ask questions at so everyone (especially we the video-viewing folks) could hear. It sounded like it was done on the showroom floor, I assume that's the blaring music being heard throughout the vid. Camera work was a quite amateur, too, but I guess the small venue didn't have a need for a multi-camera setup.

I can't really hear the questions, and the music makes it even harder. Could anyone of you guys hear it?

He mentions something about a game that he "couldn't find anything to complain about other than maybe being too short, if you can complain about wanting more of a game"

Could someone tell me what game it was? I couldnt hear what they said.

I wonder what Mr. Croshaw thinks of Charlie Brooker's Gameswipe?

I watched that, those two scottish guys were amazing.
Also, Charlie Brooker used to be a games critic way back in the day....in case you didn't know already. but you probably did....

Portal.
I could easily piece together the questions they asked Yahtzee from context. The band was annoying, but it didn't prohibit me from understanding what Yahtzee was saying.

It's The Megas. I'm not a fan of the music, but their podcast is awesome.

Band was fricken annoying. Other than that okay I suppose, but whoever the con coordinator over there is have proper set up for events. An informal Q&A session next to a performing ROCK BAND was not a good idea.

I think the audio boosts happened whenever somebody opened the doors to the band room to enter or exit.

Good stuff. And the question of the Mysterious Expressionless Man is finally answered. Although--the audio was rather poor, and the camera was rather jumpy. Tsk tsk, not very professional, guys. :D

A shame you couldn't actually hear the questions in this and Yahtzee was drowned out sporadically by the dumbshit Rock Band session or whatever the hell it was going on in the next room.
Wish I had known about Game X, Philly isn't too far from me!

What is this, Jeopardy? Maybe have a mike in the audience? Someone on the staff should watch the Evening with Kevin Smith movies.
Also Yahtzee is 95% less funny without a script.

QA's dont generally pan out humorful.

The vid made him seem like a human atleast.

I was also going to complain about the music 'til I heard what it was- Mega Man covers! With lyrics, too- wonder if it was The Megas?

Kind of ashamed no one else recognized Spark Man's theme or the MM2 stage select =P

Anyway, more on topic- really good Q&A sessions with Yahtzee. General consensus seems to be he's rather timid in public, but he seemed spot on right here. Hope we get to see more things like this in the future.

The sound is bad, but it was interesting to hear his answers, despite not knowing the questions. <_<;

I'm surprised he answered that last question given how much shit he will inevitably catch from the console wars.

Also sucks to hear about the Game Damage thing. I am still really looking forward to that cause I loved the pilot. Especially Yahtzee's bit about adventure games.

It was enjoyable to see Yahtzee answering questions in his 'normal' persona. I'd rather have that than him trying to emulate a 'ZP' standup show. For future talks where there's no audience mic it'd be helpful if Yahtzee repeated the questions.

Please turn up the heavy metal rock music? I can't hear it over Yahtzee's yak-yak. Yahtzee's talking is so distracting in this music video.
