Who else saw the 'I am you from the future' crack coming? Top notch video, man that gun would be utterly useless.
wait Dante, Nero...uhhh okay a bit confusing, but maybe playing DMC4 will clear it up (still gotta get around to that) haha well we all know that ONE assassin is far more dangerous than a room full of them. same goes with ninjas. and Agent Smiths
I've never played any of these games. should I?
the Sparta! outburst cracked me up! XD
Ah, the old Conservation of Ninjutsu rule. Terry Pratchett called it The Code: one brave man against seven wins; the greater the odds, the more crushing the final victory for the Hero. At least once, I'd like to see this subverted: have one man go alone against a horde of ninja assassins or something, and have the horde mop the floor with him in a magnificently choreographed dance of death.
Lol the superman bit was good. Nice job with this one.
I just wanted to say kudos to you guys for the incredibly consistent pace on the videos for this series. Looking back, it only looks like you guys took one week off this entire year.
Assassins don't sit on benches! Classic
aha you found it ^^ | |
Great episode | |
"I'm seeing symbolism in everything now." Great...now I am too. No more enjoying Devil May Cry 4. Oh wait, there was no reason to enjoy it in the first place.
It's not a jrpg - it's a spectacle fighter :)
"The Dark Knight..." "Batman?" "Sparta" "Damnit!" "What help are you going to bring, do you know Superman?" Those are my favorite lines from this episode, frakking awesome work guys!
I thoroughly enjoyed the ones I've played, so they get my recommendation, for what that's worth. The fighting is impressive and while I do admit the cutscenes can go overboard, they're at least entertaining. Oh, be forewarned, this series has a fixed camera still, so if that bothers you, just rent it. The first is the best in my opinion. Anyway, I thought they were going to do more, the gap between tutorial and cutscene is fairly brief plus there's good material there, plus a whole scene before this that oozes pretentiousness with its fighting and melodramatic singing. But then again its not my show.
Actually Nero is a new protagonist in DMC4. In all the others you play as Dante. This episode was great! That muffled Dante going "Oh, nice to meet you, my name's Dante". Overall, perhaps one of the best Unskippable episodes ever. At least in my top 5.
I think this one is now my favorite from you guys
THIS! Funny. | |
I think it has some merit, especially with lots of people in close quarters. When you're alone, you don't have to worry about friendly fire, or your allies doing something that completely messes up your plan. Assuming there's a maximum threshold of effective melee combatants (let's say it's 3), above which additional combatants just get in each others' way, than an opponent that could take down 3 easily could take down many more easily, since they can only attack him 3 at a time. Also, really good episode. Best one in a month or two, I'd say. It doesn't hurt that the subject matter is over-the-top anyway, absurd yet entertaining on its own merits.
ABSELUTLY LOVE THIS ONE! "Nero! Kyrie! Dante! Kratos! SPARTAAA!" "Uh oh, Dante's going gangsta style, Nero's in trouble." " *GOFF!* Oh hi my name if Dante, nice to meet you."
ok, funny video guys, best one in a while, but the fuck is up with the devil may cry story?
YAY!!! Another DMC Unskippable! Favorite!
Wasn't it Sparda actually? That would make a lot more sense.
'twas the best Unskippable I've ever seen. Or at least, one of the best. Damn good stuff you guys! I loved that scene, with your voices along the image, it's even more lovable. :3
"Oh, the blood's gone." "Well, we know we aren't playing Dragon Age." This was the moment I lost it. Dragon Age's blood borders on self parody. There was an excessive amount of it emphasized in the promotional material, and the blood decals lack rationality. I personally loved it and I loved the reference to it. Great episode as usual guys!
Well, there are more scenes, sure, but that's where it cuts to a loading screen.
Wow...those 'Creed references had me in stitches.
lol the bloods gone, this must not be dragon age!
Lol, Devil May Cry totally sucks.
Pure Jokes | |
i was waiting for that aswell. being impaled with a sword would've made another awful gay joke though. anyway cool episode.
you clearly haven't played dmc3
1. Why was the video quality so terrible?
i thought they were going to do that part with Nero fighting his way to the church while Kyrie was singing. But i don't thinl that would be as good if they did the cut scene after the tutorial level Graham would say "one tutorial level later" and show the scene where Dante gets impaled by his own sword and then after that Nero gets his sword the "red queen" the name of his revolver is called "blue rose" and his right arm is a demonic arm called "devil bringer"
I clearly don't give a shit. Dante is one of the most unlikeable video game protagonists in recent memory. I could care less about gameplay, if I don't like the protagonist I refuse to play a game.

Just thought I'd through it out there that Credo and Kyrie aren't made up words; they're segments of the latin mass.
Kyrie is a plea for mercy from God and Credo is the recitation of the Apostle's Creed.
