Great movie! I saw it last night and was blown away. One of the better films I have ever seen.

I paused the video at about 33 seconds in and added this movie to my "movies to watch" list. *lol*

It's a say day when Twilight so successfully manages to suck the sparkle (no pun intended) out of vampire films that people are willing to champion a mediocre vamp flick as the best thing since strawberry-flavoured crack.

Tonight, I came, I saw, I was conquered by this great movie, but I kept thinking that Ethan Hawke was Christian Bale.

There was only one thing I didn't really "get", but I can't talk about it since I don't know how to use spoiler tags.

Not at all! It wasn't the a bad movie, but it wasn't that great of a movie either.
It was pretty much saved by Willem Dafoe, Sam Niel and the premise.

The vampire movie equivelant of District 9? This I must see.

Up till now i have never really disagreed too much with bobs reviews ,he was spot on for me on a lot of movies but i have to say i not only disagree with him on this one ,my opinion could`nt be more opposite.
This movie is an un-mitigated pile of s**t and i can`t belive anyone would like this on any level,i mean i`ve seen steven segal movies where the caracters had more depth to them than this.You let me down bad on this one bob ,bad bob...bad.
This entire movie could have been made into an episode of buffy or angel,and it could`nt have been any worse.

Setting the bar high ?,because of this movie there gonna make more happy vampire movies like twilight as people will think its twilight or this,i have`nt seen twilight but if this is so much better than it i really despair for humanity.

Its too late for me but do not spend your hard earned money on this movie,it only encourages bad film makers to make bad films.

I totally saw this movie on Saturday, and it was everything Bob said it was. Seriously guys, this movie was awesome.

Yeah this is the best vampire movie to come out in a while. I say that mainly because the movie is about vampires, and doesn't just feature them as a plot gimmick.

Also the attention to detail in the movie is nice like the news reports about forest fires and economic situation of the world. This movie really does have enough content to make a full season television show and they manage to get all this in the movie in 98 minutes without it ever becoming boring or incoherent.

Thanks for reviewing this movie and putting it on my radar I enjoyed Daybreakers.

I really liked everything about this movie except the last 5 minutes.

Maybe I'm just missing the point or something.

Oh, and can I say how EXTREMELY glad I am that there's a movie out that isn't over 2 hours? I've been noticing a serious trend where the crappy movies tend to be the longest recently. Even a GOOD film should only be as long as it absolutely needs to be for everything to work. Like with good writing, if you put too much in it it's suddenly not so good anymore. With that in mind, I don't see any reason for an action movie to ever be over two hours unless the story is mind-blowing.

Man Movie Bob, how many more films are you gonna make me go see?

Wow. After previously reading a review that destroyed this movie, I am now encouraged to check it out. And I had pretty high hopes for the film initially.

Also, to the folks who expressed disappointment a few reviews back at realizing that Moviebob looks like an actual human being and not like Hayden Christenson, FUCK YOU.

Can't wait to see the flick.

Bob, I couldn't agree MORE. There are very few movie reviewers out there that I regularly agree with, but you sir are one of them. ESPECIALLY when it comes to Daybreakers.

I was hesitant at first to go see this, as I was worried it was just going to be another generic, blade-esque, possibly Twi-shite (I think I may have just coined a new term, unless someone beat me to it) influenced POS, but I am happy to say that HOO BOY WAS I WRONG.

No need to go into any more detail, you already pretty much summed everything up nicely.

I'll admit you really have a good point there, and you might actually be right. (A similar thought went through my head as I left the theatre, but I still liked the movie)

BUT if anything takes attention away from that TwiShite dreck, is that necessarily a bad thing?
