Shamus Plays: LOTRO, The Finale!

All journeys must come to an end. Lulzy's ends with rangers and stabbing.

What an epic journey, thanks for the stories and looking forward to your next game. :D

Seriously brilliant, I loved every episode of Lulzy's adventures. I hope that one day you'll come back to her adventures but in the meantime I can't WAIT to see what you play next!

That was far better than it had any right to be, thanks Shamus. I'm very much looking forward to reading the second season of Shamus Plays.

Very nice. I really enjoyed it, many laughs as well.

Aw, dammit, why did it have to end? I've been loving this!
Razza frazza dazza pazza

It feels like the end of an era. I've enjoyed this immensly, thank you!

So in the end Lulzy becomes yet another deranged hobbit putting her own nonsensical interests above imminent danger, ultimately retires from adventuring to a house in the Shire - a place so embarrassing it caused her to undergo self-imposed exile - and resigns to a job she spent months complaining about...
Interesting way to conclude a series, but I suppose Lulzy's adventures must inevitably have taken a toll on her sanity.

Fantastic! A fitting end to an excellent series!
My wednesdays won't be the same (until the next series)!

I miss Lulzy already. :(

I wonder if anyone will do Lulzy tours like Kramer did of New York. Sigh...

why did it end? I was going to send lulzy LOTS OF PIE

What a great series! Thanks for the adventure and one more tale to add to the lotr world in my head!

Cor - cracking series - has it really been nearly 6 months already? I had to register just to say cheers Shamus - I really enjoyed Lulzy's adventures, almost as good as LOTRO!

Really looking forward to whatever you choose next. Can you give us an idea how long we'll have to wait?

A great epic, to be sure. Been fun, can't wait to see what you have for us next!

Er, there's a typo. "my fried"... ahem...

Me too. In fact, I started missing her last week, as soon as I realised the series was about to end. I'm sure the next series will be great, but it won't have Lulzy in it...

This series has been absolutely fantastic. After a few weeks, just seeing "Shamus Plays: LOTRO" in Google Reader was enough to put a smile on my face. Thanks, Shamus!

inb4 'Shamus Plays: WoW'

Thanks, Shamus. This series has give me lots of laughs. Reading this one was rather bittersweet, as I knew it was the last. And let's not forget Lulzy's hatred of humans for the "Knee-high water" stuff. Too bad she couldn't be Strider's "Little bit on the side", so to speak. ;)

Those last lyrics contain some sage advice.

I've been meaning to ask, Shamus, how is the community on LOTRO, anyway?

You said you were on a less populated server, iirc.

The was a great journey.

aw it ended...well it has been an epic ride =]

aaw poor lulzy didnt get her man :C
well thanks anyway for an epic adventure shamus!

Shamus, you are seriously good at this... Epic stuff.

Curses. I have to kill Shamus now.

Unless his next Shamus Plays is of equally high quality...

You live for now, Shamus. For now.

I'm-a miss this little article of sorts. Always brightens up my day...

BYE LULZY, WE LOVE YOU AND YOUR INSANE OUTFITS!

Please don't go...

Another great episode and a fitting way to end Lulzy's adventures. While I do wish it wouldn't have ended, thanks for giving LOTRO some of the attention it so rightfully deserves but doesn't often get. :)

I can only speak for the server I play on, which is Landroval, but the community is one of the main things that keeps me sticking with the game.

*applauses* Great Finale, good job Shamus.
And "Thank you for the Music " :P

Thanks, Shamus. It was a blast! Looking forward to the next Shamus-plays... :)

A great comic :) I hope you do more of the Lets Play series, they're very entertaining!

It's sad to see this go. It was always the highlight of my Wednesdays to catch up with Lulzy and the crazy NPC's in LOTRO. Now that it's free I might join up and try to out do your splendid outfits! Ha Ha!!

I Can't Wait for your next lets play :)

Thanks for this series, as a LOTRO player of 3 years I've really enjoyed this :)

Hope this encourages other Escapists to check out the game when it goes F2P later in the year.

The community is unique in Lotro, really amazing. I've played in several different MMO's and Lotro still remains the best in terms of players and community, and doesn't matter which server you play on. I play on Elendilmir. :)

Great episode, as always. I'm sorry to see it end, though pleased that it ended on such a high note. Did you enjoy the game enough to continue playing, or are you going to call it quits now that Lulzy's adventure is over?

No jive. I'm on Nimrodel, and the community is phenomenal. Very kind, articulate, and helpful. While I enjoy playing World of Warcraft more, I'd recommend LOTRO before I'd recommend WoW. I sincerely hope the free-to-play implementation doesn't mess up the community.

Thanks so much for another great LP, Shamus, this one was as funny as, if not funnier then, your Champions Online run. Cannot wait for your next one.

This is a tad off-topic, but I know LOTRO is moving to free-play soon and i'm interested in it, but if i don't like D&D Online would I enjoy LOTRO? I know they're both Turbine, so I thought i'd ask.

Thanks for the great series, Shamus. Anyone with some drink handy, cheers for Lulzy.
