PAX 2010: Portal 2 Co-op Preview
I can't wait for this game, next to InFamous 2 this is my most anticipated game of 2011. Also there is a typo at the end of the article, Portal 2 wasn't italicized and you can see the broken [i] thing, just a heads up.
Robots? But they don't respond as well to cake or neuro-toxin...
These robots would be great for my evil plans! MUHAHAHAHAHA! *ahem*
Sorry, not meaning to be an ass, but you screwed up the last italics. OT: Man, I want this game. Sooooo badly.
Awesomesauce. Just awesomesauce.
Any "send your pal into the gas pit" moments for you?
they do however react well to microsoft access and viruses.
THIS GAME WILL BE MINE! I just hope I have a friend who will play with me (since most of my friends are Xboxers, and I prefer PC)
It has a hug button? DAY ONE PURCHASE.
At 0:59 you can see one of the hugs. It's going to be a day one purchase for me as well. :D
The paint spot system sounds like a great idea. Valve really think of everything^-^
That hug is a great little addition. Will probably be getting this early, if I get a job.
I played portal and completed it but I just never thought it was as great as a lot of people made out. I expect to now get flamed by fanboys, but I wish they had spent the time doing Episode 3 instead.
well Knowing valve at this point episode 3 is out the window and will probably be replaced with half life 3, I mean I know this is valve but at the rate we're going it's gonna take them longer HL2 - 3 than it did duke nukem 3D - DNF
i hope that if i keep saying 'I HAVE TO GET THIS GAME' that i'll just wake up one day and it will be there...what?...stranger things have happened...
Adorable robot hug! | |
Haha this comes out the day after my birthday.
The whole premise of the game was that it was short, witty, intelligent, and original. It was by no means the second coming of games that countless idiots lauded about. It's pretty much just a breath of fresh air. Everyone's entitled to an opinion; I liked it, because it was okay. You would rather have let the developers invest more time into making Episode 3. That's fine, and anyone that argues with it is just an idiot.
Well, as any scientist will tell you, accidents are part of the learning process, so there are bound to be some...unfortunate...incidents. I can't say for sure whether any of them will be necessary in order to advance, though. We saw so little of the actual game that it's tough to know much more than I've shared here.
Aw, bugger. Well, it looks like someone at HQ was helpful enough to get that sorted for me. Thanks for the heads up, though!
True... not a lot was shown... but if it was a competition, Orange would of been winning.
i was hoping it would be a full game
I am looking forward to it.
This game is sounging better and better the more I hear Must not board the hype train... remember MW2... the horror! *shudders* But still this is easily my most anticipated game that will be comming out. Fallout NV and possibly Fable 3 are close behind it. I like the sound of Glados creating tension and insulting the two players, and possibly turning them against each other with harsh language. Sounds most amusing.
Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel
I have a theory about the last chamber. I think it was said once in a Joystick interview that Valve were looking to extended the Co-Op experience a little bit beyond. My theory is that these different doors lead into different test sections, maybe 3 or 4 tests, and entering them at different points during the game will change how they play. We know that GLaDOS is rebuilding the test centre piece by piece. So maybe entering a chamber near the beginning it might be in a state of disrepair, parts of the tests are missing ect. However if you visited that chamber half way though it'd be mostly completed. Near the end of the game GLaDOS is growing psychotic, so they're now filled with turrets and traps. Just an idea. It could mean their are 5 different versions of each test, adding tons of replay value, which I assume is what Valve wants judging by the Left 4 Dead co op experience.
Can't wait not too sure about stephen merchent voicing though...
This will totally fry the Steam servers... Anyway, on-topic, I suspect that half the fun in co-op will come from completely screwing your friends over.
