Easily one of my favorite vids you guys have. Alex is bloody awesome :)

Lady Kathleen:
There is really an angry kitties deck. It's not totally type 2 legal, but it's fun. Basically, it's structured around having lots of cats, really fast - a standard hit 'em quick and hit 'em hard type deck. Lots of flying cats too, and a hearty dose of red instants to keep things moving quickly. It's not the greatest, but I don't intend to play it competitively. I have a green black infect deck I'm honing to a fine, infectious point for that.

Skyhunter Skirmisher?

HAHAHAHA! That was absolutely brilliant! As someone who's not into Magic but surrounded by people in college who are, the plot was hysterical. Throw in the kitty deck and the veiled ICP reference, and that was one awesome LRR.

If someone has built a sneak attack deck properly and gets to go first, the opposing player is taking at least 7 damage on turn one, and losing their hand. It's very very tough to come back when you're top decking the whole game.

Oh, and Kathleen, if you want to make an infect deck to take on the masses (extended deck), look into the three cards: Snake Cult Initiation, Virulent Sliver, and Hivestone. Add more poison to all your critters and make them suffer. (These all will work in your deck as long as it's Green/Black.)

Lady Kathleen:
I have a green black infect deck I'm honing to a fine, infectious point for that.

I hope you are fielding a couple Hand of the Praetors? To help boost your infectors, I have a Black/Red infect/artifact deck. Has a wonderful Contagion Engine to double proliferate poison, and my baby: Skithryx, the Blight Dragon

I'm just going to put this out there. Best Hustle ever.

Because the Hustle characters all have certain tropes, Kathleen loves cats and hates bears, Paul can make or "upgrade" anything, does that mean Alex will now be "the magic one"?

This one really made me laugh out loud. not just saying that.

The magnets joke, I'm sure that should be over played by now, but it was awesome!

Great episode, takes me back to the time when I was playing magic. Moved on to much nerdier, far more expensive hobbies - like LARP. European LARP, not the cheap US-variant...

Also: Magnets, how do they work? *rimshot*

Huh, I totally missed Kathleen in the back of the shop the first time I watched this.

At 4:55 is that Kathleen in the background?

Poisions, bah! I'll stick to my 349082349038 ''destroy target creature that looks at me funny'' cards :p

On a side note, go zombies!

The Angry Kitties

Cats:
Ajani's Pridemate X4
Spark Elemental X2
Leonin Skyhunter X4
Sunspeak Shikari X2
Kemba's Skyguard X3
Steppe Lynx X4
Kemba, Kha Regent X1
Raksha Golden Cub X1
Knight of the White Orchid X1 (I would have more, but they're hard to find)

Plainswalkers:
Ajani Goldmane X1
Ajani Vengeant X1

Spells:
Safe Passage X2
Journey to Nowhere X2
Lightning Bolt X4
Forked Bolt X4
Electrostatic bolt X2
Act of Treason X2
Revoke Existence X2

Equipment:
Bonesplitter X 2
Shuko X2

Land:
Boros Garrison X2
Teramorphic expanse X4
Kariba crossroads X1
Mountain X6
Plains X8

I can think of a couple of ways to make this deck a lot better now that I look at it. Also, don't freak out about the mana amount. I've won plenty of games with 4 or 5 land out. The deck actually runs surprisingly well on three mana, as long as two of those are plains. That said, now I want to tinker with it.

My infect deck is mostly green with a splash of black. It's really fast, and designed to be that way, so I've skipped proliferation in favour of green boosts. The idea I use Corpse Curs to bring back disposable infect creatures (and my putrefaxes!), then as soon as something gets through I throw 2 giant growths/groundswells/vines of vastwoods on them.

Opponent: I'll take the 1 point counter from the plague stinger, I guess.
Me: Actually, you'll take 8 poison counters from that plague stinger.

Double A:
Unless they're against a sliver deck while playing a sliver deck... while owning Sliver Overlord.

(Do you want to compare evil bastard sliver deck notes?)

Unless its vintage vintage, I believe I know the notes I need to know. I have a R/G/W/U sliver deck that works just fine :)

Sounds like fun. I have a deck similar to that, but mono green. If you can get it, its an uncommon from worldwake so its still standard, Canopy Cover, I've found that any kind of evasion really help a deck like that work.

Dammit, now I'm somewhat interested in Magic. This raises my nerd level by at least 2.8 kiloGygaxes... (and I'm pretty sure that joke only made it worse)

So is Tim actually gone?

NO! Don't tempt me back into that, I already quit once!

...

starts looking at new card spoilers

Play Magic or you will die without knowing how to destroy Cthulhu with a squirrel.

That sounds unbelievably cheap/awesome/fun to annoy people, like a blue deck :p

player 1: Ha!, now you'll take 11 dmg from my blaz-
player 2: *yawn* Cancel.
player 1: FUUUUUUUUUUUUU-wait.AH! so I'll jsut attack with my army of gob-
player2: Time Stop.
player 1:*eats up deck*

and don't get me started on Counterbore...

Why do you run both versions of Ajani? Sure, your deck has a theme, but if you draw one when the other is already in play, you may as well have just drawn a card saying "As an extra cost to play this, shoot yourself in the foot."

I just noticed you could use some Ajani's Mantra too, you get 1 life on your upkeep and a +1/+1 to the Pridemate, though that's more suited for a slow deck like my soldier deck

There's only two so they don't often come out together. Plainswalkers are pretty disposable, and it's AMAZINGLY funny to say "oh, you killed Ajanai. Look who's back! Ajani Vengeant! He's the angriest kitty!!"

I just never could get into Magic. Then again, I abhore most card games for some reason. I don't mind board games, but card games just aren't my thing.

This was a GREAT Hustle and definitely up to par and as enjoyable as any of the first season! I can't wait to see what ya'll come up with next. Nice to see Tim one last time to say goodbye, lets hope he forgot something else so he'll stop by once and a while :D.

Also, the switch of Tim and Alex was just great :D

I do love green for that, are you also using Untamed Might? If you have a lot of forests in your deck, then Primal Below is also a nice green boost card.

Accelerated Mutation too for decks with big Beasts or Wurms

I've never played Magic before but this was kind of funny though.

My GOD.

My workmates and I just did this video...in real life.

I mean, everything, like...

That is SCARY guys. We hadn't played in about 9 years. And that is what happened...

Daemonate:

I know the feeling, a month ago I was with my friends and we saw a bunch of dudes playing Magic, and I've found out that my mates used to play it too....and ever since we play it like 3948390488 times a day.

Shanaar:
Was James wearing a Poppy?

Great episode, also still not interested in playing the game. Partly because there is no one to play against and it is expensive.

Yes, for Remembrance Day.

Matt_LRR:
In keeping with Alex, My deck:

The Ride of the Valkyries:

4x Elite Vanguard
2x Stormfront Pegasus
4x Wall of Omens
2x Survival Cache
2x Brave the elements
3x Everflowing Chalice
2x Day of Judgement
3x Journey to Nowhere
2x Condemn
2x Luminarch Ascention
4x Serra Angel
1x Sunblast Angel
1x Deathless Angel
1x Iona, Shield of Emeria
1x Linvala, Keeper of Silence
1x Admonition Angel
1x Baneslayer Angel
2x Emeria, the Sky Ruin
22x Plains

(totally don't actually even run a lightkeeper :| )

-m

Geez Matt, I just looked at some of those cards, did you buy a majority of those Angels as singles? My friend runs an Angel deck, and I'm sure she wouldn't mind some of those cards, I was only able to pull a Baneslayer Angel for her out of those Mytic Rares.

I miss Tim. Also, I vowed long ago not to get involved with Magic: The Gathering. I still have a bloody army of Heroclix under my bed. Was this episode at all inspired by the Crapshots episode "The Cards"?

This has to be a message from God. I just started playing two days ago because he sent it to me as a gift on Steam and he hates me now because of my White Deck. Go Pacifism!

Fucking magnets, how do they work?

traded for the baneslayer, bought the other biggies (mostly). Nothing over $10.
