Enslaved

If the guy from Journey to the West was named "Roid-Monkey", then yes, this is accurate.

Edit: Sorry, Shitty connection.

So in what part of putting the collar on him, did she decide she didn't have a choice?

"the escape button was your fist all along"-Paul

Wow, the least she could do was get him some ice cream, the cold hearted woman that she is.

Did they not realize the Ice Cream Headache-Inducing Headband could easily be countered by rubbing your tongue on the roof of your mouth?

No, really, that works. I shit you not.

Damn, this is an entirely bad cutscene, for what looks like the WORST premise in video games: defending someone who, themselves, looks incredibly useless.

They built a game out of the thing I HATE the most in Video Games; forced escort missions. I'm getting an Ice Cream Headache thinking about it.

hasn't this already been done, like the exact same video?

Nice, what a horribly executed premise (the game, not the unskippable)

On the plus side, at least the headband looks like a snazy crown!

I feel sorry for the Unskippable

Lost In The Void:

She is of the female species, that is how their logic works :P

"If I had a spaceship full of slaves, I would have them rowing" "How?" "Space oars"

That.

But then again, explain to me, Paul, how do space oars work?

I SO wanna play this game. Damn you consoles and your exclusivitious...ness....thing!

Well that's just dick-ishness all across the board by that lady. Don't even bother asking someone first off! D:

I think the best qoute of the episode was: "The escape button was your fist all along."

I really want to play Enslaved. I hope the ending involves beating the shit out of that woman as soon as the headband is removed.

Monkey reminds me of Sylar.

Enslaved is actually a really good game. The character development and acting in it are better than in any other game that comes to mind, to be honest. The facial motion-capture is really good, too. Gameplay is kind of average, though.

Anyway, still a funny video. "And now he's a deer" made me laugh.

Of all the people to survive... why did it have to be super saiyan Kratos?

(Also, have you guys ever thought about doing the Mass Effect's for Unskippable?)

You have Grand Central. Its Terminal.

That was so bad, and yet I laughed so hard.

Funny as always guys.

Worked well enough for ICO .
OT: very quotable episode good job guys

Oh god. You guys stopped doing just "bad" cutscenes awhile ago, huh?

All games deserve to have the piss taken out of them.

I'm surprised at the hate this game is getting in this thread since elsewhere it's actually considered to have some of the best cut scenes due to realistic facial expressions and great characterization... and one other characters later rips on Monkey by saying he has an ice-cream on his head.

Don't get me wrong, this was a funny video but you can talk over anything and make it seem less, so to those who haven't played don't judge it based on parody alone.

flipping ice cream headache headbands :(

Probably would've made a better movie than a game.
The animation was great but the gameplay was boring.

Having still not played this game, just that plot point of the girl putting the headband on Monkey is pretty dumb. I mean, I can totally see it happening this way, instead: She breaks out, guard robots show up. She sees Monkey in his pod, begs him to help her in exchange of escaping.

There. No slave-doohickeys or anything. Just reason.

That may have worked today, but consider she isn't very old, and has probably been taught not to trust other humans(outside of her village or whatever). Then there is a certain amount of logic.
Though, to be honest, if I broke out of jail and came across another convict who was from the city, the thought to use a slaveband might cross my mind. I would still ask nicely first, while holding a really big club.

Giving ice cream headaches is not nice. Something one hopes she learns through the story.

Do people really watch this series? It's not even close to funny. It's like listening to the group of teenagers in front of you at the movies make fun of the entire thing.

Good episode. Though I found myself trying really hard to listen to the cutscene more than the commentary. You see; I picked up Enslaved a week ago and finished it 2 days ago, and I think that it has the best voice acting, motion capture, faces and story/script I have ever played in a videogame.

Whilst the gameplay is merely good and it's very on the short side, it's genuinely one of my favorite games of last year. And I shed tears at the ending, no joke. Any story based game in the future that doesn't feature Enslaved's level of story telling should just turn around and leave before they embarress themselves.

I misheard it as space whores, which was hilarious.

I also heard space whores

Wow, what a bitch.

chickenhound:

I see I wasn't the only one.

Then your sense of humor is different from ours. We find it funny, you don't. You don't like it, don't watch it. Let us have our fun.

Hmm, this the 1st time I'm going to disagree with these guys at unskipable but , that wasn't an altogether bad cut-scene. I mean yeah the character design is horrible, the escape was laughable. but it did have some redeeming qualities. the voice acting looks great, the characters have ample motivation to act the way they do; she has no reason to trust him, and well, now neither does. It seems like the story could be great.
Regardless the episode was hilarious.

let me redact a little there, I just check out the review of the game, and the game looks gorgeous!
finally a post apocalyptic world that isn't just brown and gray, but is full of vibrant colors and a pleasure to gaze at. the look of the characters, though not realistic, is pretty and captivating.
so yeah that's that.
guess the guys have recycle the chick from heavenly sword and give her (a much needed) haircut
