Gamer Gang: instantly better than Big Bang Theory (then again, watching a pile of shit gather flies is better than Big Bang Theory)

The sit-com part I did not get. What was supposed to be funny in it? Does it parody other sitcoms?

And where were the achievements?

Are you guys by any chance Based OUT of Kitchener Waterloo? Cause my brother studies there (University of Waterloo)

They better improve the writing, or it will catch the "Game Dogs" virus...

Pillow quest = Funny.
The rest of this series = Not...

Sorry gave it a try, just not very... um... no. Sorry

Oh and by the bye.
RROD isn't funny anymore :/

Coliumbos:
Game Dogs > This.

Disagree.

OT: This was good. Better than Gamedogs and with some funny scenarios. I actually laughed.

I have the same Zelda shirt as the guy from the Gamer Gang. Speaking of that guy, his audio was lower quality than everyone else's. Just saying.

And I didn't think it was all that funny. Especially the red-ring of death thing. That's not historical and anyway, most of the crap they "investigate" on those shows is clearly stupid and unsupported by real science. RRoD is real and lots of us have experienced it first hand. The portrayal of the "real-life story" girl as a weirdo were-wolf conservationist makes it stand out as inappropriate even more. I'm not criticizing it for not faithfully recreating the source material, I'm just saying that using RRoD in this context creates a weird disconnect from the parody. In other words, it just didn't make sense. So... not funny.

Pillow Quest was probably the best, but I was underwhelmed nonetheless.

It does feel a little like they used up all their good ideas in the pilot/competition video, as at the end of the day the second episode wasn't as good and this third one was worst again. Having said that I'm not going to simply give up on the series entirely, it's obvious they're capable of better. Anyone can have an off day.

I'm liking this. Less weird than last week and more funny. Good job.

Obviously the Pillow was chosen, The Pillow always was the chosen one!
It always is the Pillow.. Oh and to think Pillow has the common decency to act a bit normal. NOOOOO! So you are at the bar with Pillow..guess who gets the ladies PILLOW!

Pillow doesn't even have to try! And now pillow gets a freaking own video game..

What is left for us?

had to laugh at the werewolf awareness too

only laughed at pillow quest, also i kind of smirked when the dude said i could get red ringed.
no i cant, i use computer. (evil smirk)

Enough with the hate. This isn't bad at all. Reminiscent of Robot Chicken in the switching between skits. Still, if I'm honest, RROD was the best bit this week.

Also: Kitchener-Waterloo? Wow. Coolest thing to come from there since my wife and Steph Dilts.

Meh... Wasn't one bit funny for me

Coliumbos:
Game Dogs > This.

Yes. Even that was less painful than this.

Jeez, the amount of people and effort going into this is insane for an internet comedy sketch show. I thought a lot of it was pretty funny and I'm sure the show will improve.

the only funny parts were when the pillow quest part was played.

Bleh barely smirked.

I'm liking this show more and more, I'm a big fan of the comedy of the absurd.

And my advice would be to push the absurdity even further.

If that beginning bit to the red ring sketch was a piss take of Fringe - it was awesome. The show is definitely getting better.

I just caught the Tron shirt for the guy who missed being a part of Pillow Quest. Nice touch.

I assume you've never seen The Big Bang Theory. And for that you should be grateful.

I really enjoyed this and thought it was funny. I laughed my ass off over the red ring of death bit.

I've actually seen blood in urine that was funnier than this.

Great stuff guys. Keep doing what you're doing.

I was wondering if you guys had a bricked 360 you used as a prop but then I remembered that a bricked 360 glows red, but a blinking red ring means problems with the electric feed. So congrats for plugging your 360 to a faulty plug to deliver it to us all.

The pillow exploding suprised the hell out of me

did the second sketch remind anyone of the big bang theory?

Cpt Corallis:
I could listen to that pillow quest theme over and over.

It's a pillow quest, full of fluffiness!

I kept repeating that theme song. They should totally make a one and a half minute version. Perhaps a full five minute pillowquest episode!

Yeah, no.

You can't just dismiss criticism like this. The show's meant to be a comedy and some of us didn't laugh, at all. I actually got bored and found my mind drifting off which meant I had to skip back and watch it again as I hadn't been paying attention (considering the show's only about 5-6 minutes long that's something of an achievement). I'm not just hating the show for the sake of hating it, I liked the previous two episodes, on the whole this series definitely appeals to my sense of humour, but this episode was an epic fail for me; slow, predictable and boring.

I get the jokes, I see why they're supposed to be funny and why they probably sounded funny on paper I guess it's just the delivery that didn't work for me. It's a well produced, well written show though so don't think I'm just hating, I just didn't like this episode.

I can't say I was amused at all during the show. Maybe I just didn't get the jokes. I'm kind of doubtful of the shows longevity, but this is only the second episode I've seen (the first being the pilot).

Again quite a bad episode, with zero laughs or even a small smile on my part.
The Escapist has so much good videos... Drop this and try something else.

Last time I watched it, anyway.

More Gamer Gang, put it on Comedy Central and watch be replayed for all time!

Coliumbos:
Game Dogs > This.

Well... that sounds kind of like a burn... A really big one... and I am inclined to agree.

Sorry if you liked game dogs.

OP:

I appreciate what they are going for, but they fall flat.

EDIT:

As a matter of fairness, I will illuminate. I understand all of the jokes they are trying to make. The problem is, the jokes are done, approached poorly, or are for the wrong audience.

Example: trying to spoof Big Bang Theory might work if BBT was something that inspired the ire of gamers. However, I would say that BBT is something that slips rather nicely into the "intelligent humor" niche that gamers tend to ENJOY! I am not going to say that this show needs to go. I will say that they need to identify their forte.
