Trailers: Crysis 2 Multiplayer Weapons Progression
I wish they'd said something about how the weapon tiers will work. There would be no reason to buy the regular sniper if you can get the gauss gun off the bat.
Electro guns! Yeeeess! That's why I love crysis, It's actually I sci-fi game set in a modern-type setting. Add zombies to the game, and you have the perfect mix.
Wow an online section, that isn't a COD clone.
Hey look at that. I'm a silent Killer.
"Is [hologram decoy] fair? Who cares?" No. Just no. That is not an acceptable way to address possible balance issues. Other than that stupid line, I'm getting more and more interested in getting this.
The hologram is pretty easy to notice if you pay attention. The players in the video are obviously acting in a way that shows what would happen if your opponent truly was a complete greenhorn. Its not unbalanced if a single hour of playing is all you need to see through it every time. Weapon unlocks occur as you play, and they can stock up, so unlocking the weapons that you want is no issue, unless there's a minimum level requirement that isn't shown in the demo.
And yeah, an online mode for a fps. CoD was totally the first game ever to do so... CoD simply raised the bar on multiplayer shooters, and all other games are trying to match/surpass it. Calling it a clone is meaningless, and detrimental to your own online image. Besides, if it ain't broke, throw it in everything. Isn't that whats happening with zombies these days?
I have crysis, and it was pretty meh on the multiplayer part. This has definitely increased my interest, but I don't think it's enough. I mean, holograms, detachable turrets, invisibility, and aiming down sights? What is this, a Halo: Reach meets CoD? Yes, I know Crysis 1 had invisibility before Halo, and had ADS, but I was hoping for some more unique stuff, not just predator vision. Maybe later videos will help.
Do people not realize that there's a demo out right now? PC and xbox have the demo now, and PS3 owners get it March 15th if my memory is right. Instead of seeing hate born from trailers, try it out first-hand. Playing it will give a much clearer understanding than watching and knowing nothing.
Played the Demo a couple of hours on the PC ofcourse and i must say its pretty bad. From a PC First Person Shooter perspective. It has been VERY consolised. Cons: Pros: So basically this game is a big NO on the PC FPS front. There are much better FPS games on the PC. On the console front i cant really comment. Dont know how different the game feels but i have a feeling its the same. PS:If someone quotes on my list of faults and saying that this is a Demo/Beta then all i have to say that yes it is a DEMO. DEMOs are ready games which have been shortened to give the customer just a taste of the full game. BETA is a version of the game which isnt ready and the developers desire feedback from the players to fix bugs and improve gameplay.
so it's like if Call of Duty was Halo don't innovate all at once Crytek...
I think it might be a joke. I certainly lolled, though mostly because it's identical to the hologram in Reach. I'm glad really because that's the only Reach load-out I'm any good with anyway.
