Room Temp, Guinness should be served room temp.

Really? Reallyreallyreally? Cos I think that'd taste absolutely vile.

I agree, It tastes horrible at room temp X(

I agree too. Room temp beer just makes me puke. Disgraceful taste!

Newcastle brown ale isn't beer! it's ALE! And Guiness is stout - a kind of ALE! NOT BEER!

Beer fail, Lisa. Double Beer fail.
And the beer song was around before Bard's tale. (Triple Beer fail!)

Actually, it's YOU who do the beer fail. ALES ARE BEER. STOUTS ARE BEER.

Ale is just a subgenre of beer which is fermented with ale yeast (top fermented, the yeast floats on the top of the fermenting brew) at relatively high temperatures.

Sorry for going completely nuts with this, but beer is my hobby and passion.

ACTUALLY, people who start their post with actually come off as pretentious dicks.
Ale: no hops. Stout, bitter, and pale, etc. - are all kinds of ALE.
Beer: hops.
Outside Germany, lager is synonymous with beer. As an English speaker from England, I have never considered Ale and Lager to be the same thing.
Beer invented AFTER ale. Separate drinks. GTFO and check something Other than wikipedia next time?
But perhaps I am too harsh - in some places if it is brown and has bubbles it is beer - sorry, I do love my ale a little too much. (Skullsplitter is the best!)

If Still Alive was ranked #5, I would expect song #3 to have been written by God and sung by Jesus F*cking Christ.

I nominate 'Increased Chances' by Chitlins, Whiskey, and Skirt for Full Throttle

Ah, the bonus room from skull monkeys... it really should have been here...

mmmm .... Newkie Brown, oh Newcastle, why is this your only contribution to modern society, oh well at least it is delicious

Ok the Queen T-shirt clinches it. I now officially love you. Great episode!

nice shirt haha

My love grows for ya Lisa, with every vid! :P
Another great Top 5. (Nice dancin/singin/...drinkin by the way (ggg-forgot the g's.)

I am a bit of a dick, but I can back it with solid knowledge.

Ale is definitely not void of hops. IPA, or India Pale Ale, an old english style of ale you probably have had if you like ales, are characterized by their generous or even extreme amount of hops and higher than usual alcohol percentage. The reason for this is that hops work as a conservative. Along with the higher alcohol percentage, this made it possible for the beer to keep fresh on the long journy from England to the colonies in India (probably the source of the name). Although IPAs in England today are pretty much subtly hopped like bitters (like Greene King IPA which is a joke), unless you get one from a good microbrewery like Meantime, Thornbridge, BrewDog, Marble, Moor or Dark Star.

Check out some american pale ales. Tons of hops. A lot of microbrewers use a lot of hops in their stouts nowadays, like Struise (belgian brewer) Black Albert. Pretty hoppy for a stout.

British brown ales, bitters and milds are usually malt heavy, low hop ales indeed. But it's not the low amount of hops (they do have hops by the way) that make them ales, it's the yeast and the temperature by which they are fermented.

Lagers and ales aren't exactly the same thing, but they are pretty damn close. They are the same thing in the way red and white wine are both wine.

I don't know what your sources are, but they are wrong, sorry. Read up on http://www.bjcp.org/index.php or http://www.camra.org.uk/page.aspx?o=aboutale, two reputable organizations.

Sorry for going so massively off topic, but someone was wrong on the internet.

It was one of those pieces of knowledge I couldn't remember how I knew, so I double checked geekanswers or some shit to avoid being a douche and just wiki'ing it. It steered me wrong it seems.
Yeah IPA's okay. Prefer darker though: hobgoblin, dog, orkney breweries etc.
If you're citing CAMRA I'm liable to accept it. Never had any American ales... yet.
:)

In the rain or in the snow~

Bottle of Nukey Brown (Newcastle Brown), I am impressed Lisa. You drink Real drinks!

Does she not like Conker's Bad Fur Day or something? CBFD could have appeared on another list but he hasn't been mentioned ever.

Good list, though I think the War Song from Sam & Max Episode 4 was unlucky to miss out.

I also have an odd fascination for the sailor song in Black & White. "...'till we get some more wood..."

Anyone that saw Still Alive from Portal creep in at #5 also expect Lisa Minovsky's Still Alive ala Mirror's Edge to make the list?

Although the title of the video didn't specify top 5 funniest songs, thats what it turned out to be. So Still Alive from Mirror's Edge isn't quite funny to make this list then I say.

I actually clicked this away when my friend came in. It's like I was watching porn...
Dammit, Lisa! Stop being so guiltily attractive!

ImBigBob:
No Great Mighty Poo song from Conker's Bad Fur Day? I call shenanigans.

Agreed. Worst. Top 5. Evar.

[much love, Lisa!]

I think she needs to do a Top 5 Greatest Moments in Conker's Bad Fur Day to make up for it. She hasn't included conker in anything yet. :(

Master Kuja:
Newcastle Brown, what a marvellous choice.

Was gonna say!

One word comes to mind: LIGHTWEIGHT.

You were acting tipsy off THAT little beer? For shame.

In all seriousness, I was a bit disappointed. I thought this was top 5 songs, not funny songs. Maybe another week =|

Good list tho.

No Conka's Bad Fur Day. Shame. The all mighty poo song should have been at number one.

Loved the show as per usually Lisa, loved the Queen shirt the most. You have excellent taste as you continue to prove in your videos. Keep up the good work!

Silly Lisa, you can still pretty much play any of the basic open chords when you're missing the E string. Either of the e strings, really.

[And yes, you may keep drinking that. Slainte!]

You, Lisa, are so AWESOME :D
awesome top 5!!
Your singing skills are pretty good actually ^^

I can't believe in all these posts no one thought of Um Jammer Lammy

I loved reviewing that game and this song is my favorite and of course the first song had Chop Chop Master Onion in it

The opening showed how the power of rock defeats bullies.

I'm in shock that this game wasn't there instead of PaRappa. I personally hated that game. The only good song was the one in the beginning. And that song was pimped around town like some tramp, at every game store I went to. I bought the game and it sounded like my game had a studding problem for ALL THE REST of the songs.

My favorite song has to be this one

http://youtu.be/qESJ9e4UZVE

I played this song so many times, I felt myself rocking the controller and saying NOW GO TO SLEEP! LOL!

Of course Still Alive has to be on here. I'd include Scientist Salarian from ME2 and M4 from ME. The dance-fight from Stubbs was great but I don't even remember the song. Bioshock had beautiful music. Chrono Trigger also had some glorious tracks and Eternal Champion's songs are very catchy. I almost forgot, "War" from Sam&Max. How did Foiles, Sam&Max lover she is, forget this song? Parappa was the first rhythm game but it didn't catch on b/c it didn't have licensed content folks already knew like Rock Band and Guitar Hero.

Sure, we all love "Still Alive" from Portal, but there's more hilarity where that came from! Comic Jumper, Bard's Tale, Monkey Island - here are some of the funniest songs heard in our favorite games!

Watch Video

What kind of Soda was in the bottle Lisa?

Your quite beautiful, and you look much prettier now that you toned down the blush some :)

Love the queen shirt btw. As for the Top five, i would have put Still Alive at both 5 AND 1... i just love that song :D

EDIT: oh and thanks for mentioning Comic Jumper in a couple of your vids, i did not know about that one!

EDIT2: In case you do a Top 5, unrelated game monologues, one to look at would be the ending speeches from Earth Worm Jim. :)

Cathy Piller freaked me out the first time I heard it and now it's still really fun to listen to.

I feel I can't trust her anymore, the hair is different. She is Ginger, this is all wrong.

Not that I liked blondes anyway...

What about the Battle Toads Pause Music? No words, but man...that beat.
