Wow, using 'yiffing' as the punchline in a comic generally dealing with games.
Classy...

On the other hand, CAD and Penny Arcade already did that before you, so...
Now you can officially hang out with the big boys, or something like that?

Indeed. We often use words used in luminaries such as Penny Arcade and CAD.

"The" is one such example. We use that one a lot.

Also, could you link me to this Penny Arcade Yiffing strip?

I'm genuinely surprised that so many people didn't know what Yiffing was...

Seriously, you're on the internet.

Actually, given the responses on this thread, I've decided to not indulge my curiosity, which is a habit I tend to cling to rather tightly on the internet, which is also how I maintain my own naivety/innocence (seriously, I'm so innocent for my age it surprises people (and I'm a socially off-centre nerd, so sexual ignorance is kind of expected))

You wouldn't necessarily need to look it up though, there are so many insults people throw around about it...

As this is appropriate, and hilarious:

OT: That was one of the 'laugh-out-loud' strips, which I note are coming more frequently as of late.

Keep it up.

Ah well, enough rambling. Good strip. I've ready enough Harry Potter to be something of a fan, and to have put some thought into the universe.

Read thru the whole mini-article you wrote, and it was very informative as to how an expanded Harry Potter universe might/should unfold. But near the end weirdly all I could think of was wanting to fire up Academagia. It's simply put, pretty much a Hogwarts/Harry Potter simulator of the first year of being in a wizarding school without running into a licensing issue or three. It seems to have a steep learning curve, but once it clicks, it's magic :P

I picked up that game from Gamer's Gate a while back and for some reason can't get it to run. Seemed neat which is why I bougt it. Planning on trying to make it work again at some point when I have a higher tolerance for frustration.

By far your best comic yet in my opinion. Great characterisation of the Hat, good work.

Shouldn't the title be "Hat's gonna hat"? Or is there more than one hat that is going to be... hatting? I've never read a Harry Potter book, so I don't know, but if there's only the one hat it should be "Hat's gonna hat."

In any case, this one was great. The look on the kid's face when the hat says "Hufflepuff" (Which I had to look up), was priceless.

Last I checked, Penny Arcade does not own a copyright on jokes about questionable social behaviour.

And I must protest to your mentioning "that comic" and Penny Arcade in the same sentence, that in itself is a joke in somewhat poor taste.

Ahh man always have to be someone making fun of furries isn't there.
And why are you people so shocked at the concept of 'yiffing'. Rule 34 people, isn't it enough to know theres porn of EVERYTHING to not be shocked when you learn theres another type.

It bothers me that I never noticed this about Hogwarts. How sinister. Utterly hilarious, but still sinister.

I did enjoy the first four books when I was younger. I loved reading about the fantasy world of HP, and that was enough till I grew a tad older and started caring about characterisation. (At which point the series became dull for me) I can't help but think if the main protagonists were each from a different house it might've been a lot more interesting.

I can't imagine the amount of sexual depravity there would be in Hogwarts if everyone's preferences were announced that way!

Anywho, brilliant comic~!

I thought all of Critical misses comics were gaming related but who cares cause this was pretty funny.

Brilliantly funny comic! I shall now laugh at the poor souls disgusted by the word yiffing.

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Your innocence is no more! It has been replaced with FLUFFYNESS!

Hopefully you do get it running. Though even if you wait, they're still updating the game with free DLC/expansion packs. More quests per house, more gameplay options, ect. So even if it takes a while, you've got a metric tonne of new features and improvements to look forward to. :)

I would have added "Now get me off this kid's head!!" at the end.

The Gentleman:
So, let's get the system down:

Slytherin: Assholes

Gryffindor: Assholes in therapy

Hufflepuff: Rejects

Ravenclaw: apparently the only group that actually came for the education

I deem Ravenclaw to be: Nerds & Hipsters & Artists.

The last two panels were priceless xD

Some people haven't gone through their "baptism by fire" for the internet yet. Here's a good as any place to start. Better than some other things in my opinion...

Ace cartoon, best one of the series Ive read in a long time. :D

Sounds about right.

Scizophrenic Llama:
Oh, that one made me laugh. I'm lucky enough to have had yiffing explained to me rather than the usual, "Look it up."

Same, it took me a moment to remember then I thought of an episode which (was very disturbing) explained it to me.

ah good old hufflepuff, always getting the short end of the stick

Wow that was actually funny! Amazing!

"Crushin' corporations with a mild touch, crush your whole computer system and revert you to papyrus"...

So hufflepuff is filled with the nerds the other nerds don't want to associate with? Mam im suprised they don't have some kind of massive sucicide rate.

Ha Awesome

So basically...

Sytherines: Trolls

Griffindor: Mods.

Hufflepuff: Furries.

Ravenclaw: Nerds.

That was actually really funny.

Good issue this week, yo. :D

I am highly amused. And I already knew what yiffing is, so I don't have to search for it.

...well, I search for it for fun, but that is neither here nor there :D

Grey Carter:
Maybe it's been said before but while making this strip Cory labeled the second kid a "Hufflepuffin" which made me chuckle.

COME ON!

I was just done laughing about the comic and then you add that....

This one made my sides hurt. Good job sir, good job.

Didn't Hufflepuff only have one notable character in the whole series?

Am I the only guy on this forum who not only knows what yiffing but is not bothered by it in the least?! JESUS!

I just googled yiffing. What the fuck.

Cheesebob:

Then I advice you seek mental help then.

Interest in anthropomorphic characters means you need mental help? Interesting opinion..you know, based on the vast number of anthropomorphic characters in mainstream media, anime, advertising and cartoons.

**Also its 'advise' not 'advice' :)**

But note their tie colors beforehand. This is why I always wear a blue tie.

Kopikatsu:

The Gentleman:

Ravenclaw: Apparently the only group that actually came for the education

Ravenclaw: The psychopaths

OT: What, I'm one of the few people who knew what yiffing was? Pfft. People today.

I hear that.

Good strip... Love the delton 3030 reference...
