The Very Best of Room Tone

When you absolutely need a room to sound like a room.

Watch Video

I honestly have no idea what I just watched. Anyway, nice to see Yummies in yet ANOTHER business.

(*insert Carl Ambrose saying "type" 176 times for this comment*)

damn I so need to place my order now!
I fell off my chair when I saw
"the sea is a harsh mistress"

I love drug dealer Paul!

Ugh... so, I was just having a conversation with a buddy about these videos and the shit audio quality they all have. They all sound hollow and empty... now this one is the complete opposite, with no ambient audio what so ever.... Both tend to be hard on the ears.

And who writes this stuff? It's not that witty for funny, though I do appreciate the amount of work that goes into these episodes. I am sure you are working on a solitary personal budget.

I love Yummies International! They always make high-quality products.

Ah, the return of Yummies Corp. With predictably mediocre products on offer.

From college sex scenes to porn featuring hunky arboreal lizards to Graham In A Wig narrating the... actions of copulation.

I'm on to you LRR.

Apple lawyers incoming in ten, nine, ...

Lots of stroking... you sure he was narrating a sex scene and not some guy fapping?

Oh, i lol'd hard. Another great episode.
All the payment ways were totally random but still funny, i liked the one with the elder gods the most.
Also," stroke, stroke, stroke".

"Stroke, stroke, stroke, stroke..."

Brilliant!

I'll take 8! Oh Englishman, what a crafty consumer we're becoming!

A consistently amusingly funny video.

Oh hai LRR. Those are pretty funny ways to get The Very Best of The Room, hah? Don't worry about it.

Not bad. I think overall Graham was probably my favorite part of the vid: 'punch' 'smash.' I prefer to imagine that his lack of emotion was due to simple apathy rather than any attempt to make the foleyed sounds apply properly to any scene they get used in. Not sure the room tones were themselves very funny though.

Awesome as always, like the MTG reference :)

The audio quality is far from poor in the vast majority of episodes.

I also take offence on behalf of LRR at your insult. These guys have been producing a video a week since BEFORE YOUTUBE EXISTED. That is far longer than anything else on this site, and they have produced some incredible content. I know that not every weeks' video is their best, and that other recent videos could be considered better than this one, (not that I have a problem with it). The LRR crew are not just any escapist video content producers. They are far more serious about their art than most on this site, and deserve more credit that you have given them.

OT I loved the presumably intentional reference to people thinking that they own the Apple loops. If I remember corrrectly didn't you have a youtube video taken down because of that?

I gave them credit, I said I appreciate the amount of work they obviously put into their series, stating that I know they are not working on a big budget. I simply stated my opinion. All the episodes I have seen (probably about 10 in all honesty), the audio is hollow and empty sounding. I wasn't trying to mean, but it's funny because they did an episode about sound. I could be massively insulting. I know these are the same guys who do Unskippable, which I really enjoy. But they have material to work off of, making a bit easier than outright writing a script for an episode.

EHheheh, that foley archive would actually be pretty cool...

I'm sorry to be "that guy", but... You do know you mis-spelled "altar" at 3:21, right?

Funny episode, though.

Bloody hell, I hate those commercials! Thanks for making me laugh LRR.
Also, was that Elisa Scaldaferri of "Name Game" fame in the last shot?

Is Jer refusing to actually look at the camera some sort of joke now? Its absolutely driving me up the wall. I find it painful watching him on greenscreen now. The foley part killed though.

I need those so badly.
Let me fire up my altar. Yes, fire up the altar. Because how can you worship the Old Gods without a v8 engine purring away as you sacrifice foxes, small rodents and bears to them?

My post probably sounded a lot harsher than it should have. I was under the impression that you regarded LRR as just another amateurish group of escapist content producers, while this is not the case. It does appear that you know this, so sorry for that. Personally I find that the music that they often use adds greatly to the episodes, but that this one worked better without, as part of the humour was how terrible the ads looked and sounded.

The fight scene was actually really well choreographed, it was more exciting that some 'legit' fight scenes I've seen in Hollywood films.

DEEEEEEEEJ! Or however you spell it, that was a pleasant surprise in the spoilers, ditto with Ian's voiceover. Pleasant reminders of Anime North '09.

Overall, good video but the past/present 404's stole the show for me. Also, LeeLee.

The sea is a harsh mistress was a great line though.

Ok seriously that music has been coming up everywhere? What is it?

OT: These last few videos have just been top-notch and this one is no different. stroke stroke

oh my gosh Graham's sound fx were the best xD

and we need LRR to devote some time to make their own action thriller movie! SERIOUSLY!

I'm probably just insane, but I could've sworn I saw Paul's hair briefly burst into flame during the fight scenes.

TVs on mute make this very high-pitched sound. You know what I'm talking about?

Good job as always guys! Why is it that whenever Jeremy is doing this type of character (like his "on scene" news reporter stuff) he seems like he's standing awkwardly sideways to the camera? It just looks so.... Uncomfortable...

I think it would be because of his lazy eye, or something to that effect, his eyes don't do something that ours do or something like that so his vision wanders or something unintentionally. I know he can't drive and has bad depth perception.

I've notcied Jer standing at weird angles to the camera lately in your videos. Is this an attempt to mask his lazy eye? Because if it is i dont like.

But anyway, good vid!

FOOOOOOL! you have not the power of Zangief that which you can defeat the mighty bear.

SOMEBODY GET ME A RAVEN!! I must buy this delighfully sounding CD full of nothing but silenc-I mean ROOM TONES. Yeah. thats what I meant.

The Raven would be the best option for ordering.

As we all know from Game of Thrones, they always arrive instantly, and never get intercepted, well unless that one guy is shooting them down :)

Good video, and I LOVE the foley guy!
