Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Jim Sterling (AKA the human race's greatest augmentation) has been incredibly busy playing a certain computer game, and it has had a rather unfortunate effect on the show. And after all the goodwill he earned with the last episode, too.

Wait, so this was basically a two minute ad for this game?

Ah well. He's made a video much shorter than this.

Whenever I hear the Deus Ex theme, I think of the lyrics Yahtzee added to it.

Why are you mocking me!? 12 more hours.....

At least you get to play it... I need to wait for it to hit retail shops. Damn you, lack of any credit card.

I know what you're talking about.

That was amazing. Best thing I've ever seen :D Thank you Jim

I'm pissed.... 23 hours until I can play the game.

UUURRRRAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

Damn you Gamestop for not having a midnight release! Er, uhm, I mean, Damn you people around town for not making enough preorders!!!

So this is his 2nd fake episode now. I guess it's time to get Deus Ex.

I've been terrified that I made a huge mistake pre-ordering this game. It looks like my fears were unfounded.

Really?

I mean... really?

And the worst part... the game isn't coming out here in Australia until Thursday. And that will probably be Thursday in 17-hours-behind American time. So more like Friday.

Arg.

Maybe his review will add more context.

Jim. My life is not complete without you.

Metal hands and arms? More like metal fingers.

Tomrrow's the day that Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be out in stores. That is if you're not a lucky son of a gun who can get games early. I'm not getting this game.

Tomorrow? No, within six months. :D

Okay...

On a much more a positive note, Jim gave it a 9.5.

Just. One. More. Day.... argh! D:

So thats all we get? Remove the intro and outtro and we get a measely 2 minute burst thats pretty much over before I know it?

...

Damn Jim, now I know how your wife feels. :P

Good thing I got my good 2 hours hammering with Podtoid every week.

Cutlery fingers and tin foil jaw, truly humanities greatest advancements and Jim gets to test them first! Lucky bastard!

What the devil are you talking about?

And here I was expecting an unboxing episode or at the very least a glance at the review guide.
Shame on you, Mr. Sterling, for getting my hopes up.

I expected more gloating.

Props for using the original DX theme. Must. Play. Human. Revolution.

I wasn't going to purchase Deus Ex anyway.

Move aside Edward Scissorhands, now we have Jim Sterlingsilverhands.

This is the best thing ever.

God damn it, I hate different release dates. Least some of you lucky buggers will be getting this tomorrow, I'm stuck waiting until friday and I'm going to have to watch what I look at now on these forums. This is one game I refuse to have spoilt.

Yeah, still got until Friday to go for no reason. Why are my digital copies fucking locked until the RETAIL STORES get their shipments in? Its fucking stupid.

Also lovin' how no one in the entire world can agree on how to say "Deus Ex".

Its a Deus Ex reference.

Woodsey:

Its a Deus Ex reference.

Oh. Never noticed that. I need to play more Deus Ex. After playing the tutorial, I took a break from playing.

That was crap. Does he get paid to not produce a video of an substance? Or does it not matter as long as he does something? I have interest in what he says, but hate the bullshit he starts and ends with. All the stuff in between is interesting to listen to.

So it looks like my dreams of enjoying a cybernetic goatee are now crushed. On the plus side, I can totally forkgive and forkget the absence of an episode this week because, seriously. Deus Ex is (gonna be) totally metal.

Oh puns. They hurt so good.

Well, was looking forward to a regular episode, but I was 'foil'ed again, two 'fork'ing minutes of daftness instead, still, at least the game is out 'spoon'.

... I'll get my coat.

Heh, I guess we can count this as a glowing reccomendation for the game then.

Or that they have enough faith in the pull of Jim Sterling with the nerd demographic they feel paying him to produce a 2 minute commercial is worth the advertising dollars. :)

Either that or maybe he's making a push to be unlockable as a hidden character in the next Deus Ex... you know the idea of being able to play as Cyborg Jim Sterling, with a complete voice track acted by him and everything. :)

At any rate if someone ever makes a "The Escapist" fighting game as a fan project, you know featuring Yahtzee, Jim, The Loading Ready Run crew, Miracle Of Sound, and whoever the other regulars are... Augemented Jim Sterling should definatly be an alternate costume option.

My god it's Jimmy AssortedCutleryhands!

Thanks for imprinting yahtzee's deus ex song in my head.

Will you pick rifles?
Will you pick sneaking (can't exactly remember the words)?
Don't pick swimming because it's rubbiiiiiiiiish...

That's the fucking title music of the original Deus Ex! The music... THE MUSIC!!! Tell me this will have a comeback in DER!

(Anyway, the episode sucked, but if it means the game is really good, then great. DE wasn't really as good as the hype it has these days.)
