'bout time. What happened, LRR?
The Escapist servers threw a fit.
Good vid, I liked the twitter character joke in the stinger. Question, who was Cam playing? I couldn't make out the logo. P.S. The new shirt design rocks.
So when do I get my avatar back? OT: This is EXACTLY why I'll never join any other social networking sites.
The stinger with Twitter was perfect. That had me laughing pretty hard.
Kinda looked like Orkut to me.
Ah. | |
Great vid, worth the wait.
Great video, loved the Twitter bit at the end (even if I could see the punchline coming 140 miles away :P)
It takes a while to load, just don't change it and it should be up tomorrow. Shame, I just got an AWESOME new avatar D: I blame Kross.
this video sums up why i dont like social media sites
Kathleen, you whore! Playing all those poor bastards...
Oh. Major rage stopped. Thanks for the explanation.
There's something oddly unsettling about Google+ using an iPhone.
The servers were waiting for me to mention this in the Unskippable thread so they could laugh at me. It looks like the joke isn't over yet. It kept telling me that the video wouldn't load, and then it appeared fully queued up, huh.
Graham as MySpace. Now my life is complete.
Nice, that was hilarious! And congrats to that Brian Scott fellow for getting a script picked up.
Least Deviant Art holds back on all the pointless spam and crap intill you log in then WOOOOOSSSH Tidal wave of not-care. Kill it with badly drawn and then coloured in with Photoshop fire!
Always blame Kross ;)
OT: Haha, silly social networking only being neusance and annoyence. Still not part of any of those social networks. :p What did it say on Cam's T-shirt? I didn't get what network he was supposed to be.
Hmm, none of the social sites are female? That seems wrong.
Graham was awesome as MySpace and why was G+ using an IPhone?
That's a good question. Why DOES Orkut still exist? Is Google getting some perverse satisfaction out of competing with themselves? P.S. Thanks
Heh, I have that image saved on my PC :P
I don't know what Orkut is. I have also never used any of the character portrayed in this video. Edit: Especially not this "Kathleen" site I keep hearing so much about.
Okay, my first thought when I saw Graham was that he was playing Vampirefreaks. I was kinda disappointed that he was Myspace. Also, this video explains why I don't use those sites. I waste enough time on my computer as it is. Now, to go read today's Cracked articles.
*insert obnoxious, entitled ranting and bitching about the late update of free, high quality content* Sorry to hear you guys had trouble, oddly enough I first became aware of it via Susan Arendt's twitter. Horrible day at the office, anyone? Anyway, that was fantastic- possibly one of my new favourites, and I certainly don't say that lightly! The writing was A-one and I really hope you get that dude back! The twitter stinger was deliciously succinct :P
Wikipedia says it's big in India and Brazil for some reason.
Nor are any of the LRR cast. NOT ONE
None of the social sites were females because they were all supposed to sound like stalker-y ex-boyfriends.
Excellent writing! So good.
I love how all the social sites where male all hitting on one girl trying to win her affection.
We were going for a "websites as skeezy boyfriends" theme, and introducing a former lesbian lover (while something we considered!) would have complicated the joke, not added to it.
Oh, no. Kathleen sat on the cat! O_O
Complicated the joke for sure, but definitely drove home the "website i only used once in college out of curiosity" thing.
I enjoyed the humor and commentary. Of course, I had to share this on social media too.
That warranted a chuckled or two. Nice :)

Socially Awkward
Social networks, by their nature, aren't really that social.
