That was brilliant. The joke was a bit predictable, but well executed. Cownden's miming was excellent and James made a great commander.

This was a good one made me laugh quite a bit. Also Metal Gear solid anyone?

James made this video great, nice work James!

Graham_LRR:

The most important thing is to stay outside their vision cone.

If this video were a two-parter; they would wake up, look around then go back to their patrol route assuming everything is o.k.

First you spoil me with Andy then you throw James wearing a moustache of power at me- no wonder I fell about the place laughing!!
Great little sketch, guys!

They only take guards who FAIL the vision test- they get less distracted by things, and that's why they have to be so close to the wall to stare at it. And James' character is wearing Danger-Sensitive Sunglasses (TM).

Heaven forfend that games not have guards who patrol bases in easily-predictable patterns... Imagine the gamer-rage that would result if they randomly looked different ways now and again...

love it when andy is in the video, pretty awesome and funny as normal

CardinalPiggles:
Haha! That was one of my favourite episodes ever, very nicely done.

I agree. This was awesome. Andy played his part perfectly.

"Who the hell are you?"
"I'm with them."
"Then move your ass!"
"Yes sir!"

Love it.

Guards: apparently peripheral vision is outside their paygrade...

Blinders are part of the uniform.

Did Andy just climb over that waist-high fence? Players are not allowed to do that.

Andy is a surprisingly smooth secret agent guy... it has to be the jacket. =P

The best bit was the dead-end alley bit.

Aww, I was waiting for the secret agent to kill one of the guards mid-sentence so that the other one could go "What was that... I guess it was nothing" and go back to patrolling.

That would have been awesome. Ah, the memories... So many guards killed mid-sentence.

Awesome vid, every stealth game need "I'm with them" excuse

Regarding game character vision cones
I liked how it was done in DesuEx:HR (at least I think it was done like that)
Instead of homogenous cone, they used cone with 2 zones

_xxoxx
xxoooxx
xooooox
_xooox
__xox
___o

x- "wtf was that?" zone
o- actual spotting
_- nothing (for some reasons space doesn't appear, strange)

At least that is what I noticed during game
Maybe I'm wrong

This video explains quite clearly why stealth games hate guards and henchmen.

James does a REALLY good General/Dictator type. He's definitely found his niche role.

Fusionxl:
James stylin' with the 'stash as usual :)

However, must that fucking ad really be half a minute long? Really now?

I gave the Escapist 20 bucks for a year of ad-free bliss. So worth it.

wow you ref'd a Last Exile pic? Nice!

Lookin' smooth there Andy. Turtle-neck-deadly.

I wonder how many takes it took to not whack each other when pointing to the imaginary gas leak.

this feels like dorkly thought this up. Well done guys

Loved it. Simple as that. Made my day. Especially Mustache-wearing-James. Great episode with some great physical comedy from Andy. And so Paul and Matt don't feel left out, That was some great wall-staring guys!

Andy's looking pretty slick in that spy get up!

and I will never be able to grow a mustache as epic as James' totally not fake mustache
