Meanwhile...

Blast From The Past

Literal what... I really don't see how someone would think that at all. Unless their mindset was stuck in the gutter in the first place...

Also it looks like it's night outside the window in the office. If this is meanwhile everything is happening shouldn't it be day?

His expression made me laugh though.

I don't think there's many people that do that. Least, I've never heard of someone doing that.

I've never heard of anyone doing that before, of course they will be now. Thanks for that. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to go scrub my brain out.

See, when it comes to Kotik and Riccitello, the only proper words to follow "blasts" are "with shotgun."

If I may ask, did you change art styles again? It seems... dirtier? Is that the proper way of describing it?

cannot unsee! Thanks Grey

Yeah. now that you mention it I do see "blasts" in headlines a lot. I like the new avatar btw.

Kotick and Riccitiello should go blast each other and leave us alone.

This one made me laugh. Definitely doing that with every article. Hell, I use Facebook mostly for sharing cool news with friends, I'm sure I'll get the chance soon enough.
I like Elliot's Slice shirt too.

Dammit, now I'm going to see that everytime I read "blast."
All part of an evil plan, eh?

Yea, remember the HumbleBundle V headline?

New Humble Indie Bundle Will Blow You
Away - UPDATED

I expect to see "Dragon Punch" in a hed by the end of the week, Grey.

A lede at the very least.

EWWWWWWW!! tnx for the permanent mental image

Raised my hopes for something video game based.

Dashed them brilliantly.

;_;

If you will recall Erin started her current adventure at a bar getting drunk and playing on her DS. If this is what is happening while she is on her way to the bar-fight and subsequent window-dive, then the side story would naturally have to start at the same time period.

..and yes, there is not enough mental-floss in the world to remove the images this comic has now placed in my head. CURSE YOU CORY AND GREY!!!!!!!!

I don't think I ever made that association when I read "blasts" in a headline. But from now on, I probably will. Thanks for that.

Ah but if you remember the events that occurred prior to Erin going to the bar, namely the fight at Elliot's house followed by Erin being chucked out of said house, happened after work had finished as well as at night. Also the logical assumption would be that Elliot would not return work in the dead of night after the fight as his working day had already ended. Ergo this 'Meanwhile' is happening whilst Erin is being hung out the window or a short moment beforehand. Additionally, I'm fairly sure that even if this 'Meanwhile' was happening as soon as Elliot had arrived at work then the sky still wouldn't be that dark. :D

I think she did that on purpose, because the imagery that always pops in my head is "with a verbal shotgun". Notice how Clutch didn't really realize it until after she told him.

TopazFusion:
Blast you Mr Carter!

Oh god, what definition is he using?? D=

Yeah, I wouldn't mentally stick "with cum" on the end of that statement. Maybe "with a shot gun", though.

He got what's coming to him.

Ooo ooo Cracked had "Has the word Blast" as one of their ways to tell a BS political story in under 10 seconds thing ! They said when one side "blasts" the other it's basically acceptable mud slinging. =D The more you know !

Never thought of it that way before, now it's in my brain forever........

I was kinda disappointed to see a delay in the already very slow moving storyline, but this gave me a chuckle and I guess a break from all the "serious stuff" is nice.

I was thinking 'with a gun' actually...

lol, the last panel was great XD
that face.

also, new avatar Grey? i approve, seems more fitting given your nature on the forums

I've never heard of such a phenomenon before this comic...and already it's in my mental junk bin just waiting to be deleted.

captcha = 'take umbrage' ... I don't think I take umbrage with this comic, I just don't really like these to begin with.

You guys took the words right out of my head. And is that blonde lady the same boss Erin and Elliot have in older strips? She looks different in both clothes & hairstyle.

Hehehe...yeah, I'm one of the people described. But it's less eye-terror for me as it is more ridiculous amounts of giggling, some nudge nudge, and a little bit of say-no-more. Though, while not wanting to go looking, I'm inclined to wonder if Kotick/Riticello slash fiction already exists, or if this comic is it's genesis...

That was not funny, and I will never see this in my mind when I read "X blasts Y".

His face looks he just blasted.

I don't think anyone's done that.

At least until now anyway.

thanks a lot

My brain don't do that.

Ahh ha ha I see the Korn reference "Get upŁ" at the bottom there :)

I never did that once in my whole life, now I'll do it forever...thanks?...i guess.

It took a current drawing of... what is her name anyway? I'll just call her "boss".

Anyway, it took a current drawing of boss to make me realize that your art style has actually changed quite a bit over time. You've gotten quite a bit more detailed. ("Boss" looks a little bit older too, but that's beside the point.)
