Unskippable: Inversion
This is a story all about how my life got flipped turned upside down. I can't wait for the game's sequel: Infraction: Call it in.
I bet Russel Davis' voted for John Kerry. He loves flip-floppers.
Get this man down to the station, we need some fresh prints.
this game has a crazy ass plot twist half way though the game. Ssoh(seamus) did a walkthrough of this game.
Hah, good episode this week. I guess that's also partly due to the material you guys had to work with. That intro screams "make fun of me please".
If by crazy you mean mind-numbingly stupid and hilarious. I've watched that LP and even played the whole game myself (I'm an achievement whore) and Inversion is a terrible game. Bad story, bland characters, dull weapons, gimmicky gravity stuff, and recycled bosses. Was it worth the achievement points? ....not really -_-
There was a dearth of Fresh Prince references in this video
*Borrows gun from main character and shoots you in the gut* Next one goes in the head. There are already enough bad puns in this shitty game...
Well, with the way the shotguns in that game work a shot to the gut would probably make his entire body explode. OT: This game would've been better if they actually had built it around the gravity mechanics. As it is, they built it like Gears of War only with a less-refined cover system and then decided to slap in a gravity mechanic for the lulz. Also, "I can still remember life as it was. Before war even existed as an idea." is pretty much the worst line I've ever seen in a video game, I had to just laugh when I heard it after I started the game.
It was a bad game and it should feel bad.
I had a cup of Coke literally inches away from my lips when Graham made the remark about having friends...a second or two later and I would've been spitting soda all over my laptop xD
Should of just reported that city wide attack in. That's clearly how all crime is cleaned up.
Bravo, guys! I saw what you did there. You did an inversion on the game itself, with clever and smart jokes on the dumb characters in the so-serious-it's-ludicous setting. Well done. captcha" banana stand
I don't think that VCPD got a concept of police right And besides what about body armor? Ok, I'll stop Douche McNitpick routine, but these things really bugs me.
This was clearly the story all about how his life got flipped turned upside down.
Still funny as it was during the expo. Love your work guys. Can't remember word by word but when you guys said that core mechanics shouldn't be in the game title, then you said "Portal." Had me in tears. Edit: "The third lane" had me cracking up at 5:04.
Ninja'd in the first comment. Well played Mr Amaranth! On another note, how do the convicts know what he can do to them if they act out? Does he verbally intimidate them before putting them in the car, or is he a 'famous' undercover cop?
if only he had used the word masturbate, He could have had his life all perfect.
Yeah, that flash-forward bit at the very start was pretty damn pointless...
Call It In: The Game Experience pulse-pounding, dial-turning action! MSRP $59.99 + Day 1 DLC: Volume Control
I was disappointed too. I mean, a character in the game actually says that his life got turned upside down. Perfect set up
Yahtzee ended his review of Inversion with a Fresh Prince joke, so maybe the Unskippable guys didn't want to be accused of ripping him off?
No that wasn't someone from GTA! That was the guys from the start of The Darkness, who wondered into the wrong game. You guys should have recognized them.
Whats with protagonists and getting their wife and daughters killed. Max Payne, Kratos, Dom, I could go on. Is that video game story telling 101, for a game to be grim and gritty the main character's family needs to die?
