Deadpool - Official Gameplay Trailer

Watch as Deadpool relishes being Deadpool.

Watch Video

The 4th wall...my god...it's shattered into a million tiny pieces.

What a glorious trailer! :D

Gameplay trailers these days seem to get away without showing any actual proper game play..

I love Deadpool in the comics but after a while i felt like he (especially his voice) was becoming more and more obnoxious..Or was that the whole point? Genius.

I'll end up like all the other superheroes and crying for him to shut his goddamn mouth, they are staying true to the deadpool lore!

Well this looks like a blast... that's Nolan North doing the voice, right?

YES!!!

*internal monologue/ please do not suck please do not suck please do not suck please do not suck please do not suck please do not suck please do not suck please do not suck */

I really have high hopes for this one.... It is already not an EA mess so that is a step in the right direction.... Microtransactions for each personality.....

1:18 I can name one. (Points at Cyclops) Just as long as it ain't that frakking Deadpool kills the Marvel Universe Deadpool (I had to unfocus my eyes just to put that in without bringing back angry memories. I have a few issues. I never thought I'd see the day.

Giggling girl wearing very little and holding a sign saying she loves DP. Nope, nothing suggestive here at all, no sir.

Erm...want?!

If High Moon can make a good of game with Deadpool as Transformers, I will be a very happy person indeed.

Wanna bet that toy rocket ride is where the remainder of the budget went?

This game looks over the top...but in all the right ways. But, dangit Deadpool! The fourth wall is MY domain now! MINE!!!

Deadpool looking good!
Except that wasn't really all that much gameplay for a gameplay trailer :(

You referring to deadpool killustrated? I'm quite enjoying that one although it's interesting to note that in his room of dead heroes I couldn't spot a single wolverine rather clearly avoiding the issue of if he can kill wolverine how come he can't die. Actually no matter how good or bad this game is I will have to buy it just for introducing me to this awesome character until the first trailer I had never heard of him before and now he is my favourite aspect of the marvel universe

Sad fact of modern advertising in that there never ever is

The monologues are very hit and miss for me. ("We like videos with boobies!")
But the game sure looks interesting.

That's because it isn't a gameplay trailer, that's just what whoever uploaded it to the escapist decided to call it. On the game's official youtube channel the trailer is just referred to as a "Reveal Trailer".

I do hope the game is good. I think the odds are pretty good, since I have great faith in High Moon. But then again, I had faith in Gearbox too...

Oh man, I can not wait for this game. I had a few good laughs while watching the trailer. Hopefully the game can do the same. Gonna keep an eye on this one.

I'm still hoping for this game to come to PC as well. They ported Transformers, but not Deadpool? I'm disappointed...

OT: Trailer looks awesome.

The idea of letting Deadpool doing his own campain is awesome - it fits the character so well, and it works. Very entertaining, and I love the quotes XD

Looks nice. Too bad it's gonna be another 4-hour action game designed by committee. Sigh.

Really, I'd be excited by such a trailer in 1999, but these days, who's gonna believe it?

I had a number of good laughs and therefore I'm sold. Will I get it on day one for full price? Perhaps not, lets see if there is not something terribly wrong with it, but this one IS definitely back on the radar.

Indeed. Deadpool is supposed to be sarcastic and fourth wall smashtastic, but this felt a bit like the Team Sonic strategy for making a character 'rad'.

I dunno. There were times he looked like a fool. Like when he slammed into that grate and fondled Cable's "man-bazookas". Deadpool works because he may be unstoppable compared to his enemies, but his "friends" Cable, Wolverine, and others are able to reign him in and tell him what a jackass he is.

You know what? I enjoyed that.

My excitement meter is raised.

I'd probably play it, then forget about it in a week. Looks like a fast food game.

It looks like it's trying way too hard. Also looks a lot like the Duke Nukem school of self-referential humour, only with the cussing and obscenity washed out. At least there looked like some fun rag-doll stuff going on.

My god. Arkham Asylum meets Saints Row..meets Deadpool.

Well. That was entirely unappealing.

I'm very excited for this game. High Moon did amazingly well with the Transformers games so I have the same standards with this game as well.

I'm old.

I remember when Deadpool first came out in New Mutants. My brother still has the comic some where. I never seen a voice bubble that looked like his. They described it indescribable.

apparently someone just took that as meaning 'He sounds goofy'.

If this isn't amazing in the gameplay department I'm going to cry. come on High Moon, transformers wasn't bad you can do this. (pleasdontsuckpleasdontsuckpleasdontsuckpleasdontsuck)

I own the books you're talking about (because I wanted to own the first print of DeadPool's appearance, I thought the actual New Mutants books were ass, but that's beside the point), his voice was further elaborated upon as being (I'm paraphrasing here) incredibly gravelly, deep and raspy (explained by his imperfect healing factor leaving his throat/voice box/etc horribly mangled). Though he was originally meant to be a serious character (He was a rip-off of Deathstroke at the time, but Rob Liefeld says himself that at the time he just wanted an excuse to draw Deathstroke whilst working at Marvel), writers that came later decided to make him the joke people know now, but as soon as the character began to become funny the whole idea behind his voice being like that was essentially of dumped entirely, though the speach bubbles remained.

DeadPool was taken seriously for all of 5 minutes. 5 horrible, horrible minutes.

Deadpool should never be taken seriously, I agree. However, I do feel that having him be that insane and sounding like "something that should never be" adds to the joke.

What did stick out in my mind was what looked like a turret section and, an exploding set-piece. Hopefully the turret is optional and, hopefully the exploding set piece isn't one of many scripted sequences. Nothing wrong with a little bit of either but hopefully the game won't rely too heavily on such things. I'd like a Deadpool game that plays like a Bayonetta or, Devil May Cry personally. That being said though it's nice to see shotguns shooting limbs off.

Yeah, I can see it working great in a lot of ways, but I can also seen how the current voices are much easier to work with humor wise, his voice sounding like something out of the depths would just take so much more effort to write for that it probably just isn't worth it to some writers.
